I was really, really bad today and went ahead and bought 40 dollars worth of simpoints so I could get the venue and a few other sets I have been wanting. I spent down to just over 1000 simpoints and so now I have to buy more tomorrow in order to buy the venue! I am so bad! Argh! Darn this addiction anyway! LOL

Kate I tried everything to speed up time.I took a nap and that failed as it only consumed 2 hours.Tried to make a sandwich to pass time, ended up wanting peanut butter and jelly which only took 4 minutes to make  so that was a disaster.Went outside to take a walk, realized its like 10 degrees outside and came back in 5 minutes later to wrap up in a blankie and rawk some spongebob pajamas.AHHH toasty but alas that wasted only like a half hour.Grrrr morale to the story people "get your friend to shoot you with a tranquiilizer gun and hope it works"

Gayars you must control your urges.I am in the same boat as you.I have simpoints and keep realizing I want that chicken coop and go as far as to view it in the store. As soon as my cursor goes anywhere near the buy button I slap myself in the head ghetto facepalm style and say "Dude the prism art studio" then all is well.Use the force young jedi,I feel a strong presence in you.

I feel your pain CravenLestat  I find chatting in these forums is a super fast way to 'soak' up time! My Son wants to spend some simming time now, and is thus urging me to get off our shared pc [it is a public holiday here today] so I shall go and watch Elementary and The Originals with my Daughter...That takes care of 2 hours :D

I still hope we get skill challanges with the artisan skill.

I wonder, though, if you can do all three types of crafts right off the bat, or if you have to start with one, get a few levels, and unlock the next one.

You know, I'm so excited for the venue, I hadn't thought about the logistics of how the artisan skill actually works. But, unlocking the three crafts at different levels sounds right.

Also, I would love it if they remembered the skill challenges, but so far, no Store skill has come with them...

Too cute! :D I only just recently discovered all the cool things that gnomes can do, so now I have 2 game slots as I am 'cultivating' gnomes in 1 in the hope of some exciting happenings :D

I too am curious about this :) I am hoping that we can unlock all immediately, but in order to do certain objects our craft skills must improve - I like my sims to have a challenge :)

As I wait patiently for the new store set I have made an artistic studio loft home and an artistic, loner, hopeless romantic, avant garde, and savvy sculptor sim.

His glass blowing equipment has a space waiting on the roof. 8)

What do you mean A new glass gnome ? According to SimGuruCopeland there are FIVE new glass gnomes.

    I've been spreading the word.

I'll be checking the gnome thread while I'm at work tomorrow to see who posts the first glass gnome pictures.

That gnome thread has caused me no end of trouble. After reading all the cool things gnomes can do and finally learning why I'm getting graves when I thought I had no gnomes (check the bushes). I never knew they had such complex lives. I just thought they stood there and occasionally popped up somewhere else in a different pose. Didn't realise there's a lifecycle. That the special ones will hunt down in a pack the normal mysterious gnomes etc. I keep checking on Dave my gnome in the garden in RL. Now I know what they're like I don't trust him or his little rake.
I've become a woman possessed. I am trying everything short of black magic or buydebug to get all of the little critters. And now there are glass ones :D

I can't wait for this. I've been sick and thankfully have slept most of the day, which leaves me late at night starting to feel better and having this venue stare me in the face. I need now!!

This is very funny. It made me laugh. I cried laughing actually.:lol:

I do hope you add you own gnome pictures to the gnome thread too. :D

I'm still chasing a few I've never had yet. I just added a cat to my household in the hope he might freak out at the fridge or do whatever else cats to do encourage gnomes. The dog has been very productive in getting freezer bunny gnomes to appear on my lot. :D

I'm still waiting to see a dog gnome though. And he is BFF with one of the Sims in the household. I'm not sure how many friends he has to have before the little dog gnomes start to arrive. At least, I think it is related to being friends with his human Sim family.
