If you frequent the GG section of the forum, you've seen me around. I also spend a fair amount of time in GD and SD. I lurk in the Creative Corner. Between lurking and judging, I get to see some really amazing builds by very talented simmers. Some of these simmers get featured but many do not. That does not mean that their creations are any less wonderful or worthy of acknowledgement and recs.

With the pending release of Roaring Heights, I decided to promote, or feature, a few lovely builds that would fit nicely with that world. Those promotions made me realize I may have found a new niche. That realization prompted me to start a blog, as well as creating an on-going thread in the Creative Corner related to promoting builds of well-known and lesser known simmers.

My blog (found HERE) and thread will be theme-based using sets and worlds from the Store. I will also include sims. There are some really beautiful CC-free sims on the Exchange. Everything I promote will be checked through Custard to ensure that they do not contain custom content, other than items purchased through the Store.

I will post the creator's name and lot or sim name and link and a link to the creator's studio. If the creator has a thread or blog, I will post the link to that, as well. The theme will change on a weekly basis.

I only ask a couple of things from you: (1) please leave recs for the creator's work; and (2) if you know of a creation that should be listed, please post it in my thread/blog.

Oh, those Roaring '20s. Fast cars, slick men, glamorous women and hopping night spots. What a fun time!!

With that said, here are a few creations I think fit wonderfully well. Please be advised that this list is by no means complete. I will be adding to it all week.

Stickykisses directed me to this venue. That lot is a performance venue by HollownessDevour. If you're not familiar with Hollowness, she is very into Steampunk and she breathes life into her exquisite creations.

These builds are from 2011 but still have a “WOW” factor. They are very reminiscent of the golden age of Jazz and Hollywood and bee-u-tee-ful people.

You have to love his description:

Anyone looking for community lots? There are a few out there. There was a contest in May 2013 created by Warlockfemale (http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/680405.page) that featured community lots done in the 1920s style.

Wonderful idea to showcase simmers lots like this! If you're looking for 20's themed sims and builds might I suggest heading over to Aminovas's world in progress King's Point (a Gatsby world) thread. Lots of great 20's themed sims and lots over there!

Here is my first lot for roaring heights, I'm sure I'll build more when I get my hands on those circular walls and roof ornaments on the 12th December

DINKY DECO

This is a cute Art Deco starter home ideal for Roaring Heights. It has one large double bedroom and one bathroom. With simple clean lines and stylish details your roaring sims will go wild for this little house. Period decor in keeping with the time. Open plan living and dining room. Kitchen with breakfast area and laundry. Garden with landscaping and washing line. Room for a driveway so you can fix up that vintage classic car. No Custom Content and no CAP. Following the link to your studio I must say I have just been on a downloading and rec'ing spree. Love your work!

The Swedish Houses will be going into my Aurora Falls.
