    :mrgreen: Thank you ladykikyo, for your entry! You've been linked on the directory page. Should you desire to make any changes, feel free up to the contest close, but please use the linked in post.

    ==========

    For Everyone:

    :D Good Morning! I'd like to reiterate this information about my style of judging contests; for those of you who don't know me well. I do not make a lot of direct or specific comments about entries into contests I hold if they are being judged. I feel like it can discourage some people from entering. I will try to make comments after the judging about the best feature of each entry. :D

    :shock: I do not go to your download pages, check your links, scan your entries for cc, etc, until the contest is closed and the judging process has started. For that reason it's important that you check your own work, or have a friend do it for you. :oops: It's an embarrassment for me to have to point out when someone hasn't followed directions, so I just don't do it anymore. I just take points off of your score.

    :D That being said, I am very present in my thread, and it is rare if I don't check in daily. Most questions will receive a fairly prompt response.

    8) Oh, BTW, since the forum is all abuzz with the new Tudor set and the Dragon world; I will be doing The Complete Castle by Castle Kits, Inc for the discussion set this week. I think it will be a lot of fun to play around with because I haven't used it in forever.

    Just dropping in to say hello! BV, what an interesting challenge this week!

    Now that I've gone back to work full time, I won't have as much time to participate in contests. I'll continue to check in to see what's happening on this thread because CAS is my favorite part of the sims, other than playing, of course. This weekend, since I haven't played in so long, that's what I'll be doing with my free time.

    Have fun, everyone, and keep up the great work! :thumbup: I'll see you soon. :mrgreen:

    :mrgreen: Congrats on going back to work! :shock: Assumeing you wanted to anyway... :lol::lol:

    :? I haven't been able to find "full time" work in about 6 years now... I had been working 2 year contracts but now that I have a child it looks like I won't return to work untill he's school aged. I live in a remote area and when you put together day care and transportation costs [ :cry: I had to sell my car last year because of his medical bills.] it just doesn't add up for the amount of money I could make. What's the point if all you'd be left with is $20 or $30 dollars a week? :?

    :D Check in when you can! The current challege is open for a month because it's a bit more involved than other things I've done. I'm trying to keep discussion sets changed up a bit to keep it interesting in here. :D

    I love all of the entries so far!
    I'm booting up Sunset Valley to give this a shot right now.

    Looking forward to seeing your review of the castle items, bloodviolet!
    It's good timing for the new releases and also because they are currently on the sale page. :)

    Yes, I am interested in what you will make with them. It's not a set I have, and it isn't a set I want ... but maybe if I see how creative you can be I'll change my mind :).

    :D This is my favorite thing that I've done with pieces from the castle kit. I love adding these pieces to master baths. They'd be wonderfull to use if you were making something like a spa. It does take some planning and forthought to use these pieces. Most of them must be placed with the moveobjects cheat.

    I haven't seen too many pictures of this set being used and definitely nothing like that bathroom. ^^

    :D That one piece is the piece from the set I use the most. I love it, because we don't have a curved wall tool. Sometimes I just want to break up all the square rooms.

    ==========
    Ok, here is the backside of that shower that is outside. This is one of the things you would need to work with. In this case I made a little inclosed alcove and placed a fountain in it, but there are dozens of other things you could do with it. Flowers, benches, statues, a family gave, a grill, a fire pit, are all things I could think of to place there.

    @ bloodviolet The ways you have used those castle pieces brings up so many ideas! It would be great using for an outdoor dining area. Putting the pizza fire oven there would work, also perhaps a bar area. Many ways to use it to fit in to the builds.

    Zirina, very nice recolor. I love purple. I like that you even recolored the window pane wood purple!

    BV, that shower and fountain are very impressive! Do the tall castle pieces fit inside a room? If the shower with castle walls was in the bathroom will the top of the castle pieces poke through the ceiling?

    Very nice shades of purple that you have used @ Zirina :) It looks good how you have coloured blue the seat pads of the seats and then the frame the purple shade, they go good together. The glow of the purple coloured lights looks great. The blue wall of the bathroom, combined the glassy purple recolour effect of the shower is nice. Great pattern you have used for the kitchen counters.

    :D Thanks! I don't use the pieces that have the bared windows much but the plain pieces can be quite nice, if you take your time with them.

    :D Oh, no all the pieces are normal wall height, those small bits are seperate that you can put on top of them.

    :D Here's a fun little structure that I might use on a fair grounds lot. The top shot is a Late Night Bar and the bottom is just 3 counters. Oh, you guys can probably tell I didn't spend a lot of time recoloring these objects; I just went with default patterns. I have a lot of shots of just little things done with these pieces but these will be my last screenshots for tonight. :D

    :D Hello! Another pic of Castle set items; used to make a simple wall feature.

    :D I think I'll be online for the early part of the day but won't be around much later. I bought my baby a sandbox and I'm hoping the weather stays good today so I can set it up and take him outside to play in it. :mrgreen:

    Additional Information:

    price: 16,288

    This affordable home is proud of its simplicity. But it doesnt have anything against being bold, just not TOO bold, a little bold. With a calm purplepink color added in to help settle down the dark green and glints of yellow this house says, yeah im colorful but not TOO colorful. Suttle yet not suttle.

    I added some small decor items mainly outside and small items inside throughout the house :)

    :D Thank you! I get tired of some of our choices too. I don't undersand why they have so little love for our bathrooms... I don't think I've ever been in a home that didn't have a shower/tub combo so we should have a like a dozen choices. :?

    :D I saw your entry and have it linked in on the directory. No need to rush though, the contest is open for almost a month. :D

    :D Here is a different bathroom where some of the pieces from the Castle Kit are used to make the room more interesting. I'm not crazy about the tile I used on this one but I didn't change it cause I'm lazy. :x :oops: :lol:

    :D I'm trying to make up my ming about going to get a hair cut. I've let my hair grow out to my sholder blades but now all I do is pull it back in a pony tail. :? I also need to clean out my fridge which I hate. :XD: I struggle with the most mundane tasks; all I want to do it veg out in front of my PC and play Sims 3... 8) :lol:
