Try removing the sims 4 folder (documents/electronic arts/the sims 4.) I know you love your mods so you can put them back later on.
The cc might be messing with the new expansion. I wont know because im not buying it lol

Hi guys,

I was just informed by EA, that deleting Origin Cache files is no longer recommended. Please do not advertise this fix anymore and if you see anyone doing it, please inform them via PM.

For those of you playing the sims 4 with CC.. This posted by sim guru. CC and the aliens issue, they have a fix and will be in the next patch

Update: We have a fix and it will be in the next update. As always, I cannot comment on specifically when this patch will arrive.

Thank you for the info.

I followed the instructions. Then after installing the exe again - and it took a while to do - I opened my game and went into buy mode to check the text on the new gnome. What appears to be the correct text is now there.

So all is now good - provided I am happy with the next message I get. I got it when I replaced my Sims 4 folder with the one I backed up too. So far I have a 100% success in getting this message.

The message - 'The Sims 4 has stopped working'

So I will continue not playing Sims 4.

EDIT: And no - I did not remove my mods and CC because I don't have any mods or CC to remove.

And I only have the base game plus free patches and content installed.

I did have other programs open on my computer at the time. But I've played previously for hours with those programs open. If I have to close them to play then I won't be playing.

EDIT Again: It seems to work if I stay out of buy mode.

EDIT Again: I went into buy mode to get a shelf. I didn't go near the gnomes. Hopefully whatever was wrong has now fixed itself.

I'll see what happens with the next patch. I probably won't open the game again before then.

I have been doing that solution ever since the pool patch.
If you have limited bandwidth like i do then its a good way of re installing lol.

adopt, whats cool about the adoption is you can choose from different children with different ages and you get to see their pics

Therefore given the laws of probability there is a chance that at least one person playing the game will only ever get boys or girls but not both. Ever. It isn't a bug. That is how they want it to work.

origin had another update yesterday for those of you who dont know ! messed with my sims 4. Messed with chesters dragon age. EA needs to get on the ball

Thats what mine is now. Chesters just updated too. They pmed me had trouble with dragon age but fixed it

I have not been in my game or origin probably why we got the update just now.

Has anyone encountered or found a fix for origin continually updating? i have seen a few people claiming that Origin updates continually. One person had origin update for 4 straight days.
