Okay. I'm on chapter eight of generation one. I don't like that it moves so fast. I mean, they meet in the beginning of one chapter and get engaged at the end of the chapter! It makes me feel like I don't know the characters super well. However, I love the town and the idea and I'm liking what you're doing with the plot A LOT. I'm excited for more!

"Are you okay?" My husband asked, woefully watching me pace back and forth in my dress.
I glared at him. "Yes. My aunt who I have not seen since I killed her mother and has more power than anyone in the country is visiting. I'm fine."
Tweedle held his hands up in defense. "You don't have to do this, you know."

"Do what?"
"Well, she's coming over to talk about politics. You could always renounce your claim to the throne and let your father rule if your aunt steps down."
I lowered my eyes. "I wouldn't do that to my father."

Now it was Tweedle's turn to be confused. "Do what to your father?"
"Power corrupts."
"And you are above corruption?"

As if on cue, there was a knock on the door.
Tweedle smiled at me. "I'll get it."
I smiled back as I tried to smooth out a few wrinkles in my dress.

Tweedle gingerly opened the door. "Welcome-"
He didn't finish. He was flung to the floor.
"Tweedle!" I shrieked.

"You should of listened to your mother, Marina."
My Aunt walked through the door, looking smug. "You are no longer of use to me. You should of saw the letter as a prelude to these events."

"What do you want?" I screamed.
My aunt- the Queen- smirked. "I'm merely securing my position."

"You see, dear Marina. People aren't too fond of me as their ruler. They don't want someone with a direct connection to the tyrant called my mother on the throne. No, they want you. You and that filthy spawn inside of you."
"How did you know-"

"Dear Marina, I know everything." My aunt drew a knife from her belt. "I promise, this is only going to hurt like hell."
"Leave her alone!" Tweedle had gotten to his feet, and was running towards us.
"Fool," My aunt laughed. "You are powerless."

In a flash, Tweedle was on the floor, and there was a knife to my throat.
"How did you do that?" I sputtered.

"You're not too bright, are you?"
I answered with an attempt to wriggle free, but I was being held in place by an impossible force.
"I see. Well, that's enough chit-chat. Time to end this."

"Goodnight, Marina."
And that's when she plunged the knife into my stomach and my vision went black.
