So what I am figuring out here is that everyone is having issues since the last patch for Seasons...but EA doesn't want to respond? I have been playing it just fine for 2 weeks. Then I finally loaded a patch...didn't get a message for a patch until 2 days ago...after that its been crashing everytime I try to save which doesn't work for me after spending 3 straight hours playing all to see its gone. My system is way more powerful than needed for this game so its not my pc. Downloading all games onto my husband's pc right now to see if I still have this issue. He's got a gaming pc...extremely powerful. I figure if it doesn't run on his it has GOT to be the game. Now my question is, when will EA pony up and get this crap fixed? If we can't play our game we can't very well keep buying expansions/stuff packs or would EA like to see their Sim Empire fall? C'mon EA....get on it.
At this point i find it pointless to post a reply on sims 3 pets crashing. Because if there is 70 some odd pages of it happening to everyone else EA should have handled the issue. I'm curious on why though it only happens with the pets and not anything else. i KNOW its not my computer or my ram or my processor i don't want to be fed that bull. So ...can i at least get a 'we don't know what the heck is wrong nor are we trying to fix it'.
I tried to make a seasonal residential lot in edit town, I moved a family in and when I started to play the game crashed allways on the first night... To have a seasonal lot, I had to edit in live mode.
Saved game crash on loading: I set up a community as the festival lot in edit town mode. I followed all the steps in the tutorial ... Finally I am back in live mode, I saved the game and I got out. When I wanted to upload the saved game, it crashed before loading. I didn’t do anything else.
It was the same thing like the residential lot created on edit town mod... I do not understand what is happening and why is happening...
I didn't forgot to set the season the same like the season on my residential lot (the family that I play)... Game saved continue to crash on loading... If I don't exit from the game, I can continue to play and use the community festival lot created ...
Saving game and exit, the next time of loading, the game crash...

I at first thought that there was a bug in sims that were not "normal" colored, I had bright red sims and they were the only house that crashed, of the some 5 houses I had in the game. I deleted all of them rebuilt them, removed the funky coloring, got rid of the horse, still it crashes. Also the Ghost Hunter Profession really needs to be fixed, the Ghostly Presence missions don't work thanks to the Ghosts now being recognized as player characters, once it says you found them, thats it you can't complete the mission. I have only really had problems since downloading seasons on to my computer, supernatual, pets, world, ambitions expansions have worked fine on my computer. Crashes seem to occur the most during Ghost hunting profession ops, people using the telescope, and of course odd colored sims being involved.

I purchased Seasons and was playing this absolutely fine for a couple of weeks, however, recently, it keeps crashing including every time i build/buy on my lot, go to live mode and then try to save. Its so frustrating. Ive run the crash analyzer and its says that i should improve my memory, however, why has this only started now, when I was able to play fine beforehand?

My game isn't "crashing", it's more freezing every few minutes (or seconds) and then unfreezing and running normally for any amount of time (it becomes more frequent the longer I play, until it's freezing every ten seconds or so.) I know my system is compatible, and almost everything is new/updated. I have every expansion, most of the stuff packs, and the last patch.
I also have this problem now, on top of the crashing, where my game will freeze, then return to normal every 30seconds... Also, I am experiencing a lot of lag time when click on a sim for socials... For eg. If I click on my horse, then click 'affection', it will take about 30secs-1min for the other options to appear...
My computer is up to date with the latest graphics cards etc. and I also update my game frequently
My game crashes all the time, often randomly in game play. I have to remember to save every 5 minutes ! I have 0 custom content & just installed seasons LAST WEEK !
Also they should really consider making it possible to save during create a sim! It's ridiculous that I completely loose the family that I'm working on
Just now 3/4 through a family, my sim turned red and black and the game crashed !
Installed seasons just a couple days ago and I can't play more than 10-15 minutes before it crashes while trying to create a new family. No hacks or custom mods. Just the game. Any news from EA on this crashing issue since I've read a lot more people with this problem?
I have sims 3 supernatural and my sister plays the base game. Our games both crash after 20-30 mins of game play. It says we need to update the game but in both launchers the game says it is up to date! I am so frustrated! whats going on?! I also cant talk to any one on the Origin Help line because it is always busy.
I got the sims 3 supernatural today for christmas. I already have seasons, late night, high end loft, base, generations, ambitions, and world adventures. I just installed supernatural. I have been having this problem where I save my game but it crashes. EVERYTIME......and my sim just had her third child, a baby girl and I have redone the third floor for her bedroom at least 5 times. I refuse to do it a sixth....when I had to add the bulidings for SN, it saved and I tried doing the "save as" thing to get around it but after I did the 3rd floor AGAIN it crashed.....help???
What happens with me in Seasons is weird. The loading screen is colorful and has words, but then when the neighborhood screen shows up, the screen is grey, and the triangle that is on the blue button to start playing is gone. I can see the family I am using though. Help! This happened my second time playing it!! :-(

Sunset Valley (and only Sunset Valley) will not load. Attempting to create or load a world based on the Sunset Valley framework results in a hard crash out of the game. Just finished a complete reinstall to see if it was a corrupted .world file, but no dice. This just started happening after the install of Seasons (aka, yesterday). Error log is as follows:

Hello,
same here.
Got Seasons for Christmas and installed the last Patch before installing the game and now it crashes. Mostly when i move a new family into a lot.
I removed my mods and downloads.
Is it possible to remove the patch again, kinda uninstall it?
Thanks a lot for answers...
This is really frustrating cause EA seems to sell games that are not fully working yet.
I would be happy if someone could help.
My graphic card worked fine with every game i played and i had no crashes whatsoever before installing Seasons and the Patch so it must have something to do with that.
Is there a new patch coming?
Thanks in advance
Me
So far I've had little to no trouble with any of my games until recently installing The Seasons Patch(Installed on release), followed by the Seasons Expansion on Dec 24th. I've had lagging due to the town loading, glitches related to the changing weather (Yes, I've had the setting on default, and then lowered them, same problem. It is unaffected.) I've also been experiencing the Crash to Desktop, and "The Sims 3 Seasons" has stopped working error with crash. Suggestions?
And my game is clean, no mods, no CC, I just have store content. And my graphics card has enough umph to run Pets smoothly on higher settings so I wrongly assumed Seasons wouldn't be a problem.
I just got Sims Pets and got it installed just fine, but then whenever I try to move my family into a house it crashes.
Also, the long-haired dogs look weird. They have a face of a chihuahua but with see-through fur all around them. I'd rather not have see-through dog fur...
Whenever i try to save my game, i get a message like Unhandled page fault on read access to 0xfe7f8002 at address 0x00b38ca2.
Do you wish to debug it ?
This is always happening when i save and i even uninstalled and reinstalled all of my sims 3 expansion packs and the sims 3 base game.
Even if i press yes or no, the game crashes both ways.
I've been having a problem with the game crashing for a couple of months, since a game update in October I believe. The game has always run fine until then. I did get Seasons and Pets for Christmas, but it was crashing before this. It plays fine for somewhere between 3 and 20 minutes. I don't see how it can be my PC as it's worked fine for a year before this problem started, but here's my info anyway:

I'm running Sims version 16.0.136.019017
There are so many people experiencing the same thing, surely this is a bug that needs fixing?
I'm having a problem with the horses. The Sims, cats, and dogs all load fine in both pre-made families and create-a-sim. Any time I try to create a horse, or load a family with a horse, my screen begins to flash and the game freezes.
Iam also not to sure on how to cheeck my requirements but im sure that i meet them.
I'm having an issue where my game crashes when i try to travel. After the 1.42 update my game has been crashing during the vacation world upload. Does anyone know when the next pdate is coming out and if it will fix this?
Pets crashes as soon as i get into gameplay. Toutorial works fine and crate a pet and create a sim work fine but it crashes *** soon as i get into gameplay.
I have a GeeForce GT650 if there is any comparability issues
I purchased Seasons and was playing this absolutely fine for a couple of weeks, however, recently, it keeps crashing including every time i build/buy on my lot, go to live mode and then try to save. Its so frustrating. Ive run the crash analyzer and its says that i should improve my memory, however, why has this only started now, when I was able to play fine beforehand?
Same thing happening to me. It's always worked and I've never have had any problems
with any of the games. I'm able to play live mode with no problems but once I go into build/buy mode it turns black goes back to SIM game and crashes again . The screen stays black and I can only hear the music and see the cursor .
This is beyond frustrating EA! please fix this! I know I'm not the only one having
this same issue!
i had the same problem with pets i have seasons and pets and it crashed every time i try to play for 20 min...now i found out that if u start pets from TS3.exe it doesent crash BUT, if i try to appoloosa town it crashes...i feel like the 1.47 update is not working really good

I didn't forgot to set the season the same like the season on my residential lot (the family that I play)... Game saved continue to crash on loading... If I don't exit from the game, I can continue to play and use the community festival lot created ...
Saving game and exit, the next time of loading, the game crash...

My pets become scary skeletons then freeze
I also have this problem now, on top of the crashing, where my game will freeze, then return to normal every 30seconds... Also, I am experiencing a lot of lag time when click on a sim for socials... For eg. If I click on my horse, then click 'affection', it will take about 30secs-1min for the other options to appear...
My computer is up to date with the latest graphics cards etc. and I also update my game frequently
Also they should really consider making it possible to save during create a sim! It's ridiculous that I completely loose the family that I'm working on
Just now 3/4 through a family, my sim turned red and black and the game crashed !
I have this exact same problem although I havent tried playing famillies that are already moved in. It is extremely frustrating.
System:
Mac OS X 10.7.5
2.2 GHz i7
4 Gigs Ram
AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024
The install:
The Sims 3 + All expansion and stuff packs
Only store content installed
The problem:
Sunset Valley (and only Sunset Valley) will not load. Attempting to create or load a world based on the Sunset Valley framework results in a hard crash out of the game. Just finished a complete reinstall to see if it was a corrupted .world file, but no dice. This just started happening after the install of Seasons (aka, yesterday). Error log is as follows:

Me
And my game is clean, no mods, no CC, I just have store content. And my graphics card has enough umph to run Pets smoothly on higher settings so I wrongly assumed Seasons wouldn't be a problem.
Also, the long-haired dogs look weird. They have a face of a chihuahua but with see-through fur all around them. I'd rather not have see-through dog fur...

Do you wish to debug it ?
This is always happening when i save and i even uninstalled and reinstalled all of my sims 3 expansion packs and the sims 3 base game.
Even if i press yes or no, the game crashes both ways.

I'm running Sims version 16.0.136.019017
There are so many people experiencing the same thing, surely this is a bug that needs fixing?
I have a GeeForce GT650 if there is any comparability issues
Same thing happening to me. It's always worked and I've never have had any problems
with any of the games. I'm able to play live mode with no problems but once I go into build/buy mode it turns black goes back to SIM game and crashes again . The screen stays black and I can only hear the music and see the cursor .
This is beyond frustrating EA! please fix this! I know I'm not the only one having
this same issue!
