Sorry for the delay in update, we only just got kitty's results yesterday and it was mostly good.
His liver function is normal and his other values also came back okay, so he seems to have a working liver and isn't dying from anything immediate. My vet spoke to an internal specialist, and because his values doubled in just a two week period, we are still going to try some more things. It might be an infection from something he ate outside. He's going to have a round of antibiotics for the next two weeks and then get a recheck. If his values are lowering, we can continue to monitor the situation, but he's likely okay. If the values are the same or higher after two weeks he will need an ultrasound to check for gallstones.

Meanwhile, I broke my tooth Tuesday night. It's got a jagged edge that keeps cutting my tongue. My anxiety + my dental phobia, however, make it extremely difficult to get up the nerve to make a dental appointment. I'm newish to the area, so I didn't have a dentist out here yet. So, yesterday I selected a dentist. Now I need to call, but I haven't been able to yet. It doesn't help that my phone broke earlier this week, so even if I could muster the courage I don't have an accessible phone. Sigh.
I've been mining a lot of Sim points though. Once I figure out how many I want to keep for upcoming deals, I'll probably be sending out a few small gifts.
On a somewhat unrelated note, this dog was dumped outside of our house on Saturday night. And she keeps nosing her way through the gate of our 7' fence. I'm not really familiar with dogs, but it looks like she's maybe pregnant or recently had puppies; she's got a saggy tummy and tee ts. We really don't want the chore and expense of owning a dog, but we also have a heart for animals. So my household is divided on whether or not to take this dog in. She's incredibly sweet and well trained. Every time she gets in the yard, she usually just follows me as I lead her back out the gate. But I think maybe she's been abused, because when I have had to raise my hand and gesture for her to follow--she abruptly jumps back and seems scared.
Oh no, poor puppy. Is there a (no kill) local shelter you can call? I also agree with the vet plan.
I've missed you guys. My father-in-law has decided to move into a Nursing Home that is within five minutes of where we live because he felt like at home he wouldn't get the close attention that he would need and he was too far away from my husband for him to visit as often as he wanted to. My husband is going to go see him tomorrow with the kids and plans to visit him at least once a week, more if his schedule can swing it. They told us that he probably has about 2 months maybe, which made him happy because he just wants one more Christmas with his family. We're hoping that he gets it.
Well, I'm glad he gets to be closer and I will keep my fingers crossed he gets one more Christmas.

Thank you. He is a cutie. He's so affectionate and loving and SO trusting for a stray. He is an angel. Which is why I'm afraid for him. It's been my experience that the best ones always have the bad luck.
So, the tooth actually feels better now that it's mostly gone. The tongue pain is minor normally, but pretty bad when I'm eating. I still manage to do it though. However, I discovered canker sore patches which have given me much relief in between times of eating. Fortunately, the tooth is all the way in the back, so it's easy to avoid the area when eating. The tongue is the issue.
Thank you again to everyone who helped me with Runway Riot the past few months, I was just able to nab it green button on the Daily Deal. Happy birthday to me ^_^
@JoeJude16, I was so shocked by your gift, I couldn't initially respond. Thank you again! Then I was doubly shocked when @charlotteprice came along right afterward and cleaned out my Top Five. I don't know how to adequately express my thanks, but know that I really appreciate that you chose to spend your time (accruing SimPoints) on me! It made me that much more eager to be able to do that for others.
God, I can't wait for the 23nd to finally buy my last venue, Gothique Library. After that it's only Fifth Avenue Fashions which isn't on DDs, Lunar Lakes and around 98 individual items. SO CLOSE! And I will finally be able to gift you guys again after I bought Fifth Avenue Fashions!

You know that's interesting, I've always found that too. My dog for example is the most innocent being, yet he got so many bad experiences.. But yeah, do you go picking up strays? I love people who do that, it's so kind

My partner (and I) have two dogs. One of which his mother found on the internet offered for just £50. Even though he suffers from severe social anxiety disorder and travel sickness he tortured himself to drive to that city by bus to pick up the dog. She's the most innocent, creeping, loving thing in the world but she was badly neglected, starved down to the rips, savaged by her sibling dogs when she little and was kept outside in a cage where she scratched her paws bloody. She didn't show any reaction or emotion to people, she wouldn't eat, she wouldn't play, she wouldn't wag her tail. Outside she wouldn't look at people, animals or react to being fussed. She just gazed into nirvana. And because of the abuse and neglect she experienced she's not meant to get past 10 years (she's about 5 or 6, we don't know) and is prone to develop tumours.
She has beautifully recovered and is much happier now, however she isn't always playful, she doesn't know how to play and entertain herself, she was bitten around her nose and is now extremely sensitive to smells like room spray or deodorant and sometimes yelps when she sneezes. And she's badly addicted to licking any exposed body part she can find on a human.
But she's so lovely now. When sleeping somewhere, bed or sofa, doesn't matter she usually comes by and lies right next to you, but most of the time on your back or in the back of your knees.
That's the little baby now. Her name's Suki. And the other one is Cassius (~8 years).

Regarding the dog that was dumped outside of our house: it appears that someone called Animal Control to have her picked up. I really do hope someone takes a shine to her and wants to adopt her. And I'm relieved she's no longer at risk of getting hit in our neighborhood; people zip down our street so quickly, eager to the reach the point where it connects to the highway.

@Opicana I'm glad that your kitty is doing well (so far) and I really hope that he continues to be so. I have also found that the good ones seem to get the short end of the stick. But he's just so cute!! I love him!!! I'm such a sucker for kitties! And don't worry you will be one of my victims. You're on... The List. lol And you really should get that tooth checked out, just look around until you find one that you feel comfortable with. My first dentist was horrible and put me off from going until I was in so much pain I couldn't stand it. Then I decided to look for a different one. Now I drive nearly an hour to get to him but he is great and I've been seeing him and his associate for many years now. Changed my outlook completely. He's kind, patient and efficient and he makes certain that I'm comfortable and informed of everything that he's going to do. And I went through three dentists before finding one I liked for my kids (my daughter is autistic and needs a special kind of dentist). Check for reviews, facebook pages, webpages and friends and family until you find one you like. A broken tooth can cause lots of problems including infection and sometimes that can go to the heart. But I understand not feeling at all comfortable about having someone work on your mouth. Sedation Dentistry might also be something to think about. It is where they put you to sleep, usually in a hospital, to do the work. They do this for severe procedures or for people who suffer from severe anxiety. It is what we have to do with my daughter because dentists really freak her out and she has panic attacks. I hope you can get it taken care of. ^_^

I currently have 7 cats....one was a rescue from a friend of a friend, one was from a friend who couldn't keep her cat because she was getting married to a guy who was allergic to cats, one was a stray that came into our yard one winter 6 years ago, 3 of them are the strays kittens that she was pregnant with at the time of the adoption, and the new one is the stray we just took in. We had two other who passed recently. One made it to 23, he was a family cat that we adopted when we left home, and another was another cat out friend couldn't keep. He had a genetic kidney disease and was only supposed to live a couple years...he made it 10 more years than expected. We are total cat people.
I can eat...its manageable but not enjoyable. I'm calling the dentist tomorrow morning.

@Tamaek I chose a dentist yesterday based on lots of reviews and recommendations from neighbors. I wrote down the info and found my insurance card today. I'll call tomorrow. One step at a time! My husband is making me call tomorrow. I can't find a place that does sedation dentistry that accepts my insurance. But, if I need an extraction, I already have a oral surgeon I'm very comfortable with here. I had to have another tooth pulled last year, and he was awesome.
Still organizing my upcoming week's DD plans, but I know the next set I'm striving for: Bayside Laundry. I've updated my wishlist and Top 5 to include a few items to help get that price down.
Thinking about spending extra time with the Sims and Daily Deals this weekend since I managed to make myself a dentist appointment. My reward for adulting.
