Ambitions objects crash my game

So I bought and installed Ambitions and while I can play the base game, whenever I choose an Ambitions object in the catalogue or try to use clothes or hairstyles from that expansion pack, my game crashes. Is this happening to anyone else? I've searched the forums and haven't seen any similar posts. If someone could help, I'd really appreciate it. I really want to try the different jobs like sculpting and inventing.

The only thing I can say looking at this, not as a professional, but as a long time simmer is that you do not have enough RAM to comfortably play this game. I would, you'll almost certainly have the slots available, so up your RAM to 4GB RAM instead of 1GB. I think that the base game had a requirement of 2GB.

That said, I was told way back when, when playing Sims 2, to double the RAM requirement listed on the boxes. Because the RAM requirement is 2, going up to 4 should make the game run really smoothly for you even with EPs.

RAM is fairly inexpensive and easy to install, but make 100% sure that your motherboard supports the RAM sticks you are going to install otherwise you'll have problems. Go to your manufacturer's website or contact an Tech shop and they should be able to tell you what kind of RAM you can use.
