It's nice they have cars and other types of vehicles, but I hope they intend to add driveways and garage doors and car teleport spaces where you can decide where the car goes. https://youtu.be/tjhEabxKd8I?si=xURwkKMh8w74Ev1O
I'm so going to want to upgrade the computer I play on. So many games, so many reasons to buy a top-of-the-line gaming computer. ~evil smirk~ My wallet is going to hate me.

You can see the individual branches move. 😳 I'm liking this even more.
Further on in this video you can see the eyes move and look at you. The "Cims" I keep calling them that because of the characters in Cities Skylines 2, another Paradox game that I plan to get (I already have Cities Skylines 1) Cities Skylines 2 is practically photo-realistic backgrounds and it looks as though LBY is heading in that direction. Although I'm not enamored of the "clayish" hair that seems to be popular in many games, I'm sure modders will fix that.
The saturation/lightness is something that Sims players haven't had control over. And this is what's going to affect how we create characters in Life By You.
The characters don't look like the "life-like zombies" that we saw in the original video which is clear as to how far they've come along in creating "humans" that we can actually connect with and play with.
As you can tell, I'm a "realistic" graphics styles player.
All of these options for me to play games that look like I just opened the door and walked down the street.
This was not possible when I was a gamer growing up in the 70s and 80s.
THIS was what I had to grow up on.
We're spoiled nowadays.

If you google, you will find a forum for life by you in the paradox interactive forums (somewhat active) and there is one in the general discussions area of steam (not visited this one).
I think I will wait for release and join their forum after I purchase the game. Very excited! I still plan on getting sims 5 too. Once a simmer always a simmer!
Dose anyone know if Life By You will have it's own forum?
Edit: after release. Is it Discord?
There is a established forum on the general paradox website, but forums have fallen out of favor by the masses so a lot of the direct (non threaded) communication and community building will happen on discord probably. That's the main difference you have to keep in mind. Discord is more like IRC, a chat room. Forums are highly threaded and not suited for general chatting, as you have to either keep making new threads, or get a super broken and confusing mess of nested quotes to try and follow what someone is talking about in a thread where multiple conversations are happening.
I notice the discord has many more channels compared to that of The Sims.
Correct, And Rocio (their community manager) is a more more handson and already thinking about making teh server actually two fold. A general community of gamers, and LBY support. Several people are playing Baldurs Gate 3 (including staff) so they might make a channel for it if the poll that's running ends up on it. The interaction is a lot more direct.

The discord is pretty awesome. I agree the devs have been very hands on, and I've learned alot from just asking questions there. They are also very transparent which is refreshing.
Sims influencer/youtuber FakeGamerGirl collaborates with LBY to demonstrate the relationship system. I really like how a chemistry system is built into the base game. Loved the chemistry system of Sims 2 Nightlife.

On March 30, 2024, none of them were able to give an exact date, just an estimated year.
So that's why I'm very skeptical.

Another new video on modding. Also they confirmed we can build our own towns with the mod tools coming with the game.
