Spicy Challenge Bug, and Food ordering Bug

Just now one of my sims just won the spicy curry challenge, and got the red T-shirt that they normally would have gotten from winning the challenge. They changed into that T-shirt like they normal, and wore it. They wore the shirt until I had them sample some food at the Spice Festival. And then they changed back into their first everyday outfit. Another one of my sims in another saved game has done the same thing too, just the other day.
ETA: Just picked up and issue with sims not being able to eat the food that they had ordered from the food vendor that's in the JA village. Testing on this is on going at the moment.

Try testing to see if this continues to occur each time that they win that shirt.

If it continues to occur each time, repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair

Try deleting the cache files and see if that helps

I think I'm going to have to try to repair the game because now I have that same sim on a vacation to the jungle. They can order food from the food vendor there. But they won't pick up the food after the vendor had sat it on the counter.

Sometimes sims don’t automatically pick up food that is placed on counters. It can happen randomly at times. When this occurs, you can direct the sim to pick it up.

I have tried that, and the option to eat the food that they have ordered is greyed out. They order drink from the vendor with no problem. And I have repaired the game. and that didn't help. Don't know it has helped solved the T-shirt bug yet. But it certainly didn't have any affect on the food vendor issue. And resetting the sim through modincas doesn't work either.

If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and see if the issues are still there.
I don’t think though that you use cc/mods.

Try seeing if travelling to another lot, then travelling back to the lot where the food vendor is may help. Try testing by buying more food,

I believe I have just found the problem to food ordering bug. I had suddenly remember that I have given that sim the Foodie trait. So I had used the Modify in Cas on that sim. And changed that trait to another trait. And now that sim has picked and and is now eating that food that they had ordered from the food vendor.

I don't. but in the case of the food ordering bug. It turns out that for some odd reason sims with the Foodie trait won't pick up and eat the food that they have ordered from the food vendor that's in the village. They can order the food, but won't pick it up and eat it. I can say one thing about this food ordering bug. My sim has just bought food for several hungry sims that have no money there in the jungle. Maybe they should add an Angel trait where a sim with that trait can go on trips to help sims that are in dire need.
Still haven't around to finding out if the game repair has fixed the spicy challenge yet. I haven't been able to check because food ordering bug was sudden, and kind of took president over the other at the moment.
ETA: I spoke to soon on the cause of the food ordering problem in the jungle. I guess I didn't find that problem. Switching out the Foodie trait for another didn't help after all. Sim still will order food, but won't pick it up and eat it.

I haven't found the cause, but I think that I just did. I had restarted an old save where I had sent a sim there before. And sent them back there again to see if the food ordering bug will occur again. And so far it hasn't. I had directed sim to order two different dishes. And they picked up both dishes, and started eating them. But the funny thing is that I never gave the foodie trait to the sim that I'm testing this out on now. So it could still be the foodie trait after all. I would not send a sim with the foodie trait to eat food from the food vendor in the village for now. If you plan to have a sim eat food bought from that vendor. Send the one that you didn't give the foodie trait to for now. Until we know for certain that it is or isn't the foodie trait that's causing the food ordering bug.
ETA: This sim has now ordered two dishes from the tourist menu, and one from the secret menu with out any issues with any of the dishes.
ETA: Sims has now ordered a second dish from the secret menu, and is eating it.

Yes it is. But this sim has maxed out the Selvadoradian Culture skill. And the other one had not. So it could be an issue with the Selvadoradian Culture skill just as well.

They did the last time that I had played this sim.

I had started a new game with a new character, and sent them down to Selvadorada. And had them order food from the food vendor down there. They did and started eating what they had order, but never finish eating. They ate about half then stop, and swipe their hand to make the plate disappear. So I had them order that same dish again. They got up from the picnic table, walked up to the food stall ordered another of what they were eating. The vendor sets the order down on the counter in front of them. And the sim won't pick up the plate of food to eat it. And I didn't give this sim the foodie trait. So it's not the foodie trait for certain. It's something else that's causing the sims from eating food from this food stall. Both sims have ate the food that they have ordered from other food stalls in the game. But for some reason they won't eat food that they have ordered from this food stall.

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or " options " file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder.

I was about to max out the character's Selvadoradian Culture skill by cheating, and see if that works. I'll only reset The Sims 4 file folder as a last resort because you'll loose all of your creations along with it.

You don’t lose any of your library items or your save games when you reset your sims 4 folder. After resetting your sims 4 folder, you delete the new saves and tray folder that have been generated in the new sims 4 folder, and copy back the old saves and tray folders that are in the sims 4 folder that you placed on the desktop. This means that all your library creations and your save games are back into the game.

Here's the thing, I have to many Sims 4 file folders sitting on my desktop as it is. So how do I know which one to copy back?

When you first move the sims 4 folder to your desktop, rename the folder straight away. You can rename it the current date . Then after resetting the sims 4 folder, delete the new saves and tray folder that have been generated in the new Documents-Electronic Arts -sims 4 folder. Then go to the renamed sims 4 folder that is on the desktop and “ copy” the old saves and tray folders that are in that sims 4 folder and place them in the new Documents-Electronic Arts -Sims 4 folder
