yes, I have deleted that file recently and all my other cache files too. I haven't done the repair game thing yet. I think it's the mods I have in combination with running the game form a pretty old laptop. I will have to delete some mods I guess, but there are certain mods I just can't do without.
I'll try the repair game thing soon. Thanks for the help!
You are so very welcome .. it really can correct so much. This is something I do right after every update (they say you do not need to remove mods but it is so easy to remove them that I still do) .. with so much code flying around (Sims 4 has over 11,000 lines) the files cannot help but get a bit wonky after a while. Repair takes all the little errant bits and puts them back (a bit like defrag used to do on our computers) .. it takes only a very few minutes to do it too.
If your localthumbcache gets too big (and it gets big quickly) it will impact your load time
I can't thank you enough for your help, my game is so smooth now! I used to have to wait at least 30 seconds to switch form live mode to buy mode with constant freezing but now I've played almost 4 hours since repair and it hasn't lagged once!!
Wich means a new chapter of WCCIA before christmas!
Hey, guys. I have a WCIF issue. There was a mod called "musical chairs" that prevented sims from sitting automatically, and if they were sitting, they wouldn't get up and sit somewhere else after a few seconds. That mod stopped working with one of the updates a while back, and I'm not sure if it was updated. I'm sick to death of my sims sitting any time a seat of any kind is within sight. Help!

I am soo glad Just a little thing with HUGE difference (also cleaning out inventories will help with residual lag)

Is anyone else having trouble getting the Sims gallery to load? I mean the website. I can't do anything but offline mode until I figure out what's wrong with my Origin (long story, just happy I can play). I was hoping to look at houses and sims by using the website, but it just spins like it's loading forever.
@mypalsim1 Connecting to the gallery works in mysterious ways. Sometimes I have no problem other times I try repeatedly and can't get through. If you want some nice houses you can check Peacemaker's site. No need of the gallery.
I was snowed in Friday night to last night with no power! So glad it's back on. We rarely get snow here in Atlanta, and when we do, a few inches can shut us down because we don't have an adequate amount of equipment to fix the roads like the north does. Plus, my 1/2mi long driveway is uphill and tree-covered most of the way (so ice is a big issue). And I'm at the end of a power line spur--very low priority. I honestly didn't expect power until tomorrow. Man, it's so good to have back. I was having to melt snow on my wood stove because we have a well so no power = no water. Never thought doing laundry would be a relief to do. O.o
I don't know, I haven't done any marrying of sims in a while (since about September when Vince got married). I'll test it with the gen 4 heir of my non story legacy when I get to that point.
Today the honeymoon AND a special announcement at the end of the honeymoon pics. Are you #teammike or #teambruno or even #teamboth then this story has something for you!
