Ah, nevermind.
Even after six years i'm still a 'new member' and I suppose that means I cannot post... I shall take my mac issues elsewhere
Hello
There is usually a blue new discussion button at the top right hand side of the screen in the forum sections. But new discussion threads have been restricted for new members. You are unable to start a new thread until you become a full member, even if previously you were able to start a new thread . This has been brought in as a result of spambots.
You need to have 50 points and 30 posts before you can become a full member and can then post pictures, have a signature, start new threads, edit posts , post links that show up correctly and change your profile picture. This thread explains about it. http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/770609/member-or-new-member-everything-you-need-to-know
Hi, I'm new as you can see. I'm just confused about one thing - are we supposed to have a password to sign in to the forums? I clicked on register and put in my username and that was it.
HI! thanks, it was helpful and a little confusing.... maybe i'll get points sooner or later. just signed up today but i have been a sims fan since living' large

Hello @Lemonbalm
You are usually meant to have a password to accompany the email . You are logged in now to the site. If you log out again, you may then need to sign back in again with your email and password.

Hello @nykspade
Welcome to the forums! Happy simming!
The only thing that sucks about being new is that I can't post links. I really want people to see my new challenge. Oh well. Time to wait. Despite that, I'm very excited to be on here. I'll get to talk to other people who truly get simming and will understand when I start babbling nonstop about Sims. This will definitely be really refreshing.

Hello @SuxelaSimmer
Keep posting on the different threads and sections of the forums and you will soon get the points/posts. The off topic section is a good place to post.
You will soon get the required points and posts if you also post about your simming experiences on threads that you are interested in the thread topics. Reading and posting on threads in the Stories and Legacies section is great! The simmers there appreciate your feedback on their Stories and their legacies.
I hope that you will enjoy meeting and chatting with fellow simmers as you read and post on the forum threads and post about your simming experiences. Happy simming!
Thanks @rosemow! I'm all sorted. Feel a right twit for how long it took me to find the sign out option!
To introduce myself now after the panic: I'm Melissa, mid thirties, from South Africa, been playing since my 2nd year in varsity (2006) when a friend introduced me to the Sims 1 (I returned the favour and introduced him to SimCity which I had been playing since SimCity 2000 days. I then bought myself most of TS2 which I've been playing ever since. Finally bought the TS4 basegame this year, which I'm thoroughly enjoying too. I have also played SimLife and SimSafari (Which we in South Africa found hilarious!).
So thats my simming history. Pleased to meet you all.

Hello @Lemonbalm It is nice to meet you. Welcome to the forums!
It is nice that you started simming by playing Sims 1, and that a friend introduced you to simming. It is great that this then led you to playing Sims 2, and you are now enjoying playing Sims 4. Simming is fun!
You would have enjoyed spending many fun and enjoyable hours over the time simming!
Happy simming!

I'm a returning simmer and have just started with Sims 4 (I have many home and character plans :) ). At any rate, I want to make sure I understand, that my points are basically starting over since I haven't played in a few years and I have to build points to set up my profile and participate in uploading pictures for contests and stuff. Can I also admit I'm trying to post so I can get "me points". :o

Hello @JLSimberry Congratulations on becoming a full member! Happy simming!
Hey I'm a full member now finally . I would like to post some pics. I tried to copy the link form a german upload site which does not work. Then I went on Imgur.com and finally got a link to enter. But the pic is very big, are there any rules about Image sizes on this Forum? How can I downsize my pic?
Sul Sul!
On my blog (German) you'll find two completed vampire stories 🦇 and an ongoing ghost story 👻.
I'm also posting about my I'm surrounded by idi🤪ts! - challenge, in which I've now reached gen 9.
Thanks for stopping by! 👋

You could post about your Mac issues on a thread in the Mac section of the forums that another simmer has already started. Mac simmers will assist you there .

Hello @lilimimi9
If you are having issues with Origin, try shutting down your computer completely. Start the computer again, then see if that helps.
Try uninstalling and reinstalling origin and see if that helps.
