This problem has been on going since a march patch especially on the 700 series laptop cards. Mine included. Have you tried lowering your settings to medium and see if the fans stop? There is no fix though it has been reported .
@phoebebebe13 I'll try lowering my settings. And It's running on my Nvidia graphics.
@ceejay402 It began after two updates on my game and ever since stuttering. I don't think it can be my laptop, I did contact EA. They just sent me to their Technical team. It didn't do this when I first got the game thought
I figured it was a game patch. some were saying by putting the game on med helps the fan issue though we should not have to play on med and really they should fix the issue . Have you noticed fps drops too? That was caused by another patch.
@phoebebebe13 yes, I noticed that when I was recording for my sims channel. The stuttering and fan noise made me reduce to reinstalling my game and nothing worked. Ea didn't even know how to fix the Issue, and sent me to technical team who hasn't even bothered to message my email. And true. I paid alot for this alienware to play my game in the best settings I could and now this making me regret buying it.

@phoebebebe13 I did but I have series on sims 4. I really want the sims team fix this issue, I've paid lot money for EP and stuff packs for the game and just a waste if I can't even play without the game bugging.

I know. Ill call in @SimGuruDrake and report it again.
I have the same card (765M) and get the stuttering and fps drops.. also cpu heats up more then it should. There has been a few threads on this same issue. They need to fix it.. its a big issue not some small bug!
@chesterbigbird I did contact EA about the issue. and I didn't get any help at all. They sent me over to their technical team. I haven't heard from them since. I'm really upset right now and wish their was patch or something fix this issue. I've seen few forums with same issue, and ea or the sims team hasn't really done anything to fix it.

instead of releasing more silly content.. they should fix the game instead.
@chesterbigbird agreed we probably won't get fix until December before new ep comes out
Lol don't hold your breath.. i don't think it will be fixed then either
lets see the fans and cpu issue is since the March patch and still no fix and the fps issue has been since July and no fix for that either. Well I paged Guru so all we can do is keep reporting it.
hey @XPRINCESSpopx can you confirm you have tried to reset your game files the last patch did update how the game can recognize cards
also have you tested a new game many players are finding one saves are problematic but not new games and lastly are you using a recording program if so have you tested the game with a clean boot to see if thats contributing to the problem of stuttering
how to reset your sims 4 files, pull your my documents/electronic arts/sim 4 folder to the desktop and run a test game if this fixes the problem you can move back old files to the new but test for problems:
files to move back (but again test each move)
saves - game save
options.ini - game settings
screenshots
custom music
mods folder - IMPORTANT: only return updated mods or mods deemed fine by modder to your game patch; outdated mods can corrupt save files and user feedback isnt enough proof that a mod isnt conflicting with new game coding
tray folder - all your saved builds and sims
ceejay we (chester and I) have run tests on this issue on vanilla . we have reset game, tested in clean boot and regular start up. No difference. A ptach cause it as it was not happening before March. Its not mods causing it or a particular save . Do you ave an nvidia laptop you can run tests on?

@ceejay402 been happening since the update sorry. I've updated my graphics and went to nvidia control panel and set it on my profile on game.
When I first got this game I didn't have this issue.
I figured it was a game patch. some were saying by putting the game on med helps the fan issue though we should not have to play on med and really they should fix the issue . Have you noticed fps drops too? That was caused by another patch.

I know. Ill call in @SimGuruDrake and report it again.

You can also try EVGA's Precision...
http://www.evga.com/precision/
no colton its the game but thank you. Chester and I have run several tests on the issue using afterburner and others to monitor the game
@chesterbigbird and true, I feel like now just wasted money on game that they can't fix.
here is one of the threads on the fans http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/820877/nvidia-cards-high-fans-high-heat-patch-and-or-oigin-update-causing-possible-issues/p1
There are plenty more in here with he fps drops which came in the July patch
also have you tested a new game many players are finding one saves are problematic but not new games and lastly are you using a recording program if so have you tested the game with a clean boot to see if thats contributing to the problem of stuttering
how to reset your sims 4 files, pull your my documents/electronic arts/sim 4 folder to the desktop and run a test game if this fixes the problem you can move back old files to the new but test for problems:
