Obsessed with dancing

I don't know if it is just my Sims or not. Does anybody else find that their Sims are obsessed with dancing?

It doesn't matter what traits my Sims have or whether they are toddlers through to elders, they want to dance so frequently. I don't mind some of my Sims dancing but for some, it doesn't fit with how I want their personalities to be.

Does it just happen if there is a radio playing? I like to have the in game music play, so I always make sure my Sims have a radio in their houses.

Yup, mine too. But you are right - it will only happen if there is music paying. You could try just turning it off. I haven't worked out yet whether they will simply turn it on again.

Ha, so it is the radio's fault! Lol, I've had my Sims turn it back on! I like to give my kids/teenagers radios in their rooms and for some reason, the Mom will often go into their rooms (when they are sleeping) turn the music on and start dancing!

I find this is a problem in restaurants. Sims don't sit and eat meals but dance!

You should use the Classical music radio station, the sims can't dance

@MidnightAura, that happened in my café too! I put a jukebox in there (the café felt too quiet) and nearly all of the Sims gathered round it to dance xD

@LeGardePourpre...I am sure I remember a Sim dancing to classical once! Even that doesn't stop them

@LeGardePourpre, maybe I got confused and it was in Sims 3. I'm sure I can remember thinking, "How can you dance to that?" as a really slow song was playing xD

I've found that if you remove the radio from the restaurants with enablefreebuild they won't dance anymore or you can turn the thing off. I don't mind them dancing at home or a club but not at a restaurant.

@BMSO, they dance at my cafes too xD I just want them to sit and eat nicely. I am glad that multitasking doesn't include dance and eat

mine too even if the radio isnt on they still go over turn it on then start dancing or if theres a basket ball net about they drop everything there doing to go play which annoys me no end especially when they are half way through cooking
