Whoa, I can't believe Celia is an adult already. The tots are so cute though! I bet they'll be just as cute when they're older. I'm excited to see more! Great chapter as usual

Thank you! Yeah, a lot of time passed in the game before Celia got pregnant because I was trying to get the fertility reward (in addition to having a lot trait of ley line - really wanted twins or triplets). Next chapter will be shorter but have the tots as children!

Celia found it difficult to care for the two boys and still make rent by selling the occasional dining chair from her woodworking table, so it was no surprise when she got worn down and sick (despite being a health nut).
She quickly figured out that, when she was too tired or sick, it was easier to leave food out for the kids, rather than go through the process of sitting them in the high chair, where they were likely to be silly (especially Basil) and throw their food.
Now that they were a little bit older and more independent, they knew how to grab their own food and eat it for themselves.
Even when tired and sick, Celia could always count on Ash or Basil (or both!) to be cute - and that helped lift her spirits.
Birthday time!
The boys got a bedroom upgrade to celebrate their ascent into childhood.
Silly Basil grew up with the goofball trait, and immediately ventured into the neighborhood to crack some jokes, make new friends, and satisfy his aspiration of becoming a social butterfly.
Ash grew up from an inquisitive toddler to a genius child, with the whiz kid aspiration. While Basil explored the neighborhood, Ash asked his mom to help him out with his aspiration by reading him some stories. Celia got into it - especially doing the voices for all the different characters!
Both Basil and Ash were studious children that quickly started to get A's at school - it helped that the genius Ash always wanted to do his homework, which made the sociable Basil more interested in joining him. Homework always seemed to go faster when they did it together, and so, they almost always did it together.
Another activity they did together was basketball.
Being a health nut, Celia insisted her kids go out and get exercise for at least a few hours each week. Whenever this happened, Ash and Basil headed down to the basketball court on their street. They weren't big enough for the older kids to let them play with them, but they still liked to watch them while dribbling their balls.
Basil also liked to go outside in order to make new friends. He quickly advanced through his social butterfly aspiration, mostly relying on jokes to become fast friends with people.
But he also had a more assertive side - especially whenever the neighbors were making a racket.
"My brother is trying to study!" He yelled at the neighbor one night. "And I'm way too young to hear all that woohoo!"
Basil's lecture was so effective that the neighbor later apologized to Celia in person.
Ash was content with Basil for company - as long as he indulged him in a game of chess now and then.
Now that the boys were at school, Celia had more time to explore the city. Her first adventure: paint a mural.
It was a learning process.
Despite her hard work, a couple of rude individuals came by to heckle her.
She did a good job anyway.
On other days, Celia killed time away from the woodworking table by working out at the gym.
Celia could have done without the strange, flirty man who stared at her the whole time.
She preferred the company of the gym trainer, who attempted to support her by yelling loudly at her.
Peaceful evenings were often upset by the monster under the bed.
Logical Ash tried to reason with it, but to no avail - the monster would not see reason. The boys relied on their mother to banish the beast whenever it appeared (until finally she got them some night-lights).
Celia and the boys were happy in their little TLC apartment, until...
That's not good.
That's really not good.
Celia tried to plead for the life of her landlord to Grim, but to no avail, perhaps because he regarded her suspiciously: "You look familiar...almost like you were on my list at one point, but then you were deleted...strange..."
In the end, the landlord died. RIP Red Beard Man (as the boys knew him).
We'll chalk Ash's smile up to denial.
A distraught and sad Celia felt responsible - after all, she was the one who called him over to fix the faulty electrical switch. Hence, sad boxing.
Celia knew one thing for sure: she couldn't stay in that apartment any more, not at the site of where her landlord died. She decided to move to an apartment just down the street, where she was already friends with one of the neighbors.
Since the new apartment was actually cheaper than her last apartment, Celia was able to afford some swanky furniture. Here's the kitchen/dining room/study area.
And here's the living room area.
She parked her woodworking bench across the from the television in the living room area.
The boys had to take a downsized bedroom, but at least it was completely their bedroom (no need to share the space with their mom's woodworking table anymore).
Celia's bedroom was nice and cozy, with a combination of soft and bright colors.
Any excitement over the move was tempered by their landlord's death - as soon as they moved in, both boys went to cry in their beds.
Their neighbors had the bad timing to engage in crazy woohoo.
"Hello, my kids are traumatized enough over here! Maybe a little decency, please?"
Even her trusty garden salad didn't taste as good anymore.
Finally, she had to give herself a pep talk in the mirror - after all, she still had two kids to take care of. She couldn't afford to mope any longer.
Poor landlord! At least the new apartment is nice.
Thank you! I have to admit that at that point, it was a HUGE relief to get out of the TLC apartment - Celia had already maxed her handiness, and the mice and roaches were CONSTANT.
Celia and the boys settled into their new apartment nicely.
Fortunately, they stayed in the same neighborhood, so they were already used to the area - and the boys had their favorite spots, such as the monkey bars on the playground.
Goofball Basil continued to make lots of friends in the neighborhood; it seemed like every day kids came over after school to hang out.
Even though they weren't technically his friends, Ash always joined Basil - and relied on his brother for the whole conversation part of socialization. (He'd read in a book that socialization was important.)
When not socializing with friends or doing homework with Ash, Basil liked to watch the comedy channel.
Slowly, watching the greats, he started to build his own comedic skill.
During the spice festival, he ventured out into the neighborhood. His mom wouldn't let him eat anything there - they were only allowed to eat garden salad, yogurt, and orange juice (and because hd didn't know any better, he thought that was fine) - but he was still excited by the atmosphere.
He immediately made adult friends at the juice bar. For some reason, they seemed to find him more hilarious than usual. Awesome!
Celia loved Basil with all her heart.
She loved Ash just as much.
He had begun to experiment on the science table, which she encouraged, although...
At times, it made her worry.
Interestingly, she was invited to a festival by the ghost of a dearly departed friend! Unfortunately, Basil was unhappy at spending time with a ghost. (Party pooper.)
Somehow, she still found time for nightly jogs.
Celia's relationship with her neighbors was mixed. On the one hand, she had been friends with them before; on the other hand, they sure knew how to make a lot of noise.
At the end of the day, though, they were still friends - and Celia was there to comfort them when they were feeling sad (even if they were feeling sad because she had just yelled at them about the noise).
Before she knew it, the boys had grown up. Again.
Ash took on the loner trait, becoming more reclusive into his books.
Yet Ash went the opposite route, becoming more outgoing. He even started to practice comedy routines in the mirror!
They're getting old! Ash is still my favorite, though
Thank you! I agree that Ash has the better genes. I kind of like playing Basil more though? Just because he's the newer experience for me. Thanks for reading!

It's funny that he has the better genes, considering they're twins. but I know what you mean!

Yeah, they look really, really similar - but I don't think quite identical. Basil's features are a little longer.
Life continued as usual in the city...meaning, somewhat unusually.
The small family remained as close as ever.
The boys got another bedroom upgrade - Basil's bed was on the left, with Ash's on the right (Ash's interest in space and science helped make his space immediately recognizable).
Whenever Celia got the chance, she evangelized her sons on the benefits of vegetarianism.
(But Basil was already sold.)
He never refrained from telling the neighbors exactly what he thought of them.
Ash was so close to his brother that he always seemed to want to be near him (even when he was sleeping).
Most of the time, they were near each other anyway.
Celia finally found a protester!
She immediately joined him.
Down with trees! Who needs them, anyway??
Later Celia visited the love festival. She updated the romance guru on her love life - or rather, lack thereof.
But Celia also had a problem. Because she really wanted to kiss someone at the love festival...
OMG. I did NOT see that coming. Celia! That's an older woman! At least get someone your age hahah, I'm so in shock. I can't wait to see what'll happen next. Great chapter!

Haha, glad you liked it! Or were at least...intrigued? Celia has the City Native aspiration, so she wanted to kiss someone at the love festival - and the love guru is always in a flirty mood anyway. So I went for it!
