I have a code to redeem the Date Night clothing set from the store. Post your worst, best or funniest date stories to enter. Contest will be closed Saturday, February 13, and a winner randomly chosen from a list of names in a hat. If you own this clothing set you can enter for someone who doesn't. You can also enter as many times as you want. So if you post two date night stories, and someone posts a date night story for you, that's 3 times your name goes in the hat!
well it appears that i'm the first to share my tale.
my firt date was... less than magiacal. the plan was that we would go to dinner and a movie, simple stuff right? well instead we got about 10 minutes down the highway before the car died as we were going 50mph. we managed to wrangle it to the breakdown lane and called AAA. "ok we'll get a towtruck to you in around 30 minutes." at this point we are 🐸🐸🐸🐸 because we are not catching the movie on time, and we had to get my mom to give us a ride the rest of the night once the tow came. PLUS mom desided that since we took time out of her evening, we would have to trat her to dinner and a movie too. now we were both working at McDonalds at the time so you can guess how much money we didn't have to spare. long story short.. my date and i shared a small cheese pizza from Olive Garden while my mom had chicken parmesian and a slice of cake.
I haven't been on a date in years, and none of those were memorable enough to remember let alone to tell about but @renyerookami probably beats any other upcoming posts !
A date night story that sounds like fun.
I have known my husband since senior school (age13) although both in the same year it was at opposite ends so he was the year above me in school but he loved round the corner from my house and he and his friends used to follow me home from school and call me names. On a Friday we walked home together alone and we would stop off at the bakery where he worked and he would by me a doughnut. A few years past a he asked me out a couple of times and I said no way. Just before my 20th birthday he asked me out and I said ok then. On our second date he took me to a romantic meal. Only my second time ever in a restaurant. He looked lovingly into my eyes through out the meal.....he had been smitten for years don't forget . Eventually he plucked up the courage and lovingly picked up my hand and moved it to his lips but in his nervousness he actually kissed his own hand
For me it was the funniest date but it was then I knew I was in love, for my husband the worst date because he really wanted to impress me and he realised we would spend our lives together but I would never let him forget this incident
This was in the October, we got engaged the next January, married in the May and pregnant by the Xmas and very happily married every since.
I almost have date night so I nominate @renyerookami

Thank you to everyone who contributed to helping me own the store X
I think I do have the Date Night set, but this got me thinking about the one date I think might have been an actual date... I only tell you the good part in it, because it is way too complicated to explain all through and it's not that nice story after all
It was early summer and I was sick at home. I had just found my way to a chat and was wondering how it worked and how strange people were there. I noticed there was "a normal guy" online who never spoke anything, so I just went and sent him a message. And oh my, he was normal, and nice and funny, and he was sick too! For a week we both were ill and spoke on the chat all day. We befriended in Facebook, he was so cute.
So, when we were feeling fine we just had to meet. It was a lovely, warm sunny day, I was wearing a pink flower dress and my friend escorted me to our meeting place. I had never met anyone "from the internet" so I felt a little unsecure, so she stayed behind unseen until it was sure things were okay.
It could be hard to recognize a person from a picture, so we both had a dandelion behind our ear. Then we saw each other. It was like from a movie. I can't describe the feeling I get just by remembering it. We never got together, but we both cherish the moment in our hearts as the most romantic thing that has ever happened to us. So far
My Date Tale was from my date night with my partner last night.
We Skyped some family in Australia for a birthday celebration & I got an ice cream cake to say happy birthday (& because who doesnt love an ice cream cake!) They were late skyping so it was getting a bit droopy. After we skyped it was very saggy so I ran my finger along it & ate some, proceeding to do the same for my OH. We followed up with a spoon until he got the plate and shoved it in my face covering me with a drippy sticky brown face! He pinned me down both of us in hysterics & he licked it off my face the cats looking on from a distance confused to what on earth we were up to haha! Its out 6 year anniversary next week & things are never dull!
I have never actually been on a date, unfortunately, but the story of how my parents met is rather amusing and I figured I might as well post in case it counts. Also, if this does count, I'd like to nominate @Poetrygirl3 for the set since I already own it.
My mom and dad were set up by mutual friends. They had no idea of this plot and met at an amusement park. Everyone had a good time, yada yada yada, and by the end of the night my dad must've thought he had a pretty good chance with my mom, because the hilarity that ensued followed. When they were leaving, my dad oh-so-casually decided to put his arm around my mom's shoulders. My mom (though she will deny this until the day she dies) ripped his arm off and then proceeded to yell at him in a cruel twist of friendzoning fate. "Just what do you think you're doing?" She had yelled at him. "Get your hands off me!!"
And the rest, as they say, is history. And I won't even get into the story about the Valentine's Day when my dad said he wouldn't be getting her a card and when the day came she yelled at him anyways. Ha ha, those were two of my favorites. They are a bit over 2 decades and going strong. Hope you enjoyed those, even if they don't count since it didn't happen to me. Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

@LaineeCheri It's just draw a name out of a hat, the story doesn't have to be great. But looks like there's only going to be one name in the hat

@wangtastic And there's another funny one! My cat would have been in on that trying to get some ice cream though.
Added you both to the pot.
