Same here @Teanias. A medieval or Renaissance world was one of my top two choices when my friend xSorcier in Portugal and I were discussing what kind of world to build together. My other choice was a Japanese world. Ideally my little Japan - - would have been set at about 1550 AD and would include the Samurai. I chose this time frame because it was in 1543 that the Portuguese were the first Europeans to land in Japanese waters. After that, everything gets really interesting historically. (No offense intended to anyone. I love all of Japanese history.)
We decided that the 1550's Japan would never work with the EA content available to us. Too bad.
@Reachsims maybe you could have where a Japanese ship wreaks on your Renaissance world so you could have a small part of Japan in it or a blimp from shangri la could wreak there! ( I am not sure if shangri la is Japanese or Chinese when googled both places come up for it!)
@Reachsims Thank you for the 2 dresses I am sure I will be making purple versions of them when I get them into my game and the painted milk jug! I love the way you let people know they have won something it's like a double win! Speaking of which thank you so much for the Last venue of amore that I won I would go to play with it right now except that ether later tonight or tomorrow I am adding late night and the high end loft stuff that came as extras to the base game!
@Teanias - When I played Sims 2 I created an Asian port world. It was set in the 1600 - 1700's, I would say. A few Europeans had made their way there as merchant traders and a half dozen of them had settled down with the locals. The locals were a mix of mostly Chinese, Japanese and Korean but a certain Captain Hook had married a Japanese beauty and raised a family and he defied any man who could say that he, Captain Hook, was not a local. There was a most fascinating man, Portuguese, a one-eyed sailor who had also married in and had raised five daughters. And so it goes...
Congratulations again on your lottery win today and I am so glad that you were able to get a hold of Late Night and High End Loft!
@Reachsims Ooh pirates did you know there were a lot more women pirates than Ann bonny and and Marry read! Including One of the most feared pirates of all time was this menace of the China Sea. Ching Shih who ran pirate army, after her husband died. I learned a bit about it while trying to come up with a pirate name for myself last year for an event another site I go to had. The female pirate story that caught my eye was Grace O’Malley mainly because I liked her Irish name I liked the idea of a green eyed red haired female pirate that ran her own ship! I am a sucker for a good pirate story!
LOL. Oh! I missed that earlier post about pirates! I also love a good pirate story - whether it be true or false. LOL. Those lying bas pirates! And yes indeed to a green-eyed fiery redhead female pirate captain! I always admire strong women and the Irish do a good job of that!
