LAYERS - A makeup competition - GUEST JUDGE NEEDED - A3 Scores Posted - A4 Posted

Welcome to Layers. A new competition which focuses on high end makeup design.
Each assignment you will have to create a headshot which focuses on bold experimental make up which should aim to make a statement. You are highly encouraged to edit you photos as well as using in game make up, to create your bold looks. The nature of the assignments will vary, from fantasy themes, to punk, to ones where I let you loose and you can do whatever you please. Creativity is the key in this competition if you want to stand out. You WON'T be judged on anything your model is wearing, only the quality and creativity of her makeup.
This cycle of the competition will be short (5 assignments + a mock) since I don't have enough time to run a full one, but future cycles will be longer. Each assignment will last 1 week and 2, 2 day extensions will be available per model. This will be an elimination competition, and depending on the number of models that enter, there may be multiple eliminations per assignment.

No negativity is allowed
Judges are only human so therefore have their own opinions, you may disagree, but they are all valid

Assignment 4: Punk

(I will not be able to update the page easily since I next week so I have given you 2 weeks to complete this.)
Inspiration
Single Elimination
Time for something a bit more edgy. You need to create a punk inspired makeup look. Your look should be edgy and clearly inspired by punk. It should remain high fashion though and should be a headshot. It should be bold and stand out. You should aim to make a statement. You can edit or use in game makeup.

Comments: I love this pic. I think you have done an amazing job. Not only have you captured an aquatic feel with the sea creature accessories but you show a high fashion make up look. I did however drop a point from requirements as I do not know if you used a black border since you used a black background. Awesome entry.

Comments: The quality of this shot is clear & bright, perfect. I personally think you have too much going on. I would have left off the blue blush or contrasting liner. Sometimes less is more. I dropped a point in requirements as I dont get high fashion here. Otherwise I really like the effect. Awesome job.

Comments:Very nice clear shot. I think this would have been more high fashion without the green reef on her cheek. You could have incorporated that design into the eyeshadow or lip for a more dramatic shot. Love the hair color. I dropped points for requirements as this could have been a more high fashion pic if her eyes where open and not sure if you used a black border as the background is black. Fab entry.

Comments: I really like this shot, it does look a little out of focus to me though. I really like the eye make-up and I do get an aquatic feel from the overall pic. I would have liked it a lot more if you had used a more oceanic looking lip color though. Love the tint of color in her hair. Great job.

Comments: Wow this is very blue.. maybe a bit too much blue. It did take the look away slightly from your model. Maybe a toned down background would have been better to make her pop from the shot more. I do like the lip color and her eyes are very haunting. I do however feel you could have done more of an aquatic style in her make-up, as I don't see or feel much of it going on. Good job though.

Experience: I'm relatively new to judging, but I am a potential judge for MangaMonster_xX's Caliente Cycle Two competition. I've also been in several modeling competitions, so I know the criteria for a great picture.

It would be great if you can join. This is only going to be a short cycle so wouldn't involve a huge amount of commitment.
Do a few practice edits then maybe reconsider.
