Looks cool but no doubt it will be a cash cow.
But there is a micro-transaction shop for pretty little things.
You can't really build though. :( But you can own a coffee shop!

I bet you will have one piece of furniture for each category and you will have to buy anything else. That's how most games seem to be lately so I don't expect this one to be any different. It still looks good though.

In other words...watch this thread get deleted LOL

@brookesaywhatx I just want to point out that the developers are going for micro-transaction but there will be plenty of furniture and clothes to buy at the normal shopping more. The internet/online shopping (micro transactions) are for hairstyles and clothes mostly. Furniture, too, but this game is different, just research the developer. They have made a LOT of cool, non-pay-to-win stuff.

They are an indie studio NOT a cash-grabbing cow like EA.
Identity is their baby, they want it to succeed. Of course they need to make money with the cash-shop but it isn't a run-of-the-mill MMO.

go buy that computer chetser built for you LOL I wonder what the specs will be? GTA V is a beast and uses 4gb of vram on the card alone and 8gb ram n the game. A lot of new games coming out requiring 8gb. some using more vram too

@phoebebebe13 @Astro yeah they posted the specs somewhereeee let me check

    Windows 7 64-bit+
    2.0+ GHz multi-core processor
    8 GB System RAM
NVIDIA 8000 series or higher graphics card

ALOT Of space I am going for 20 gigs or so?

Thats kind of odd that it has higher ram but lower video card and cpu GHz. I wonder if that is the final specs since its still in production. They listed specs like this for rollercoaster tycon which does not make sense either

GTA and the witcher are like 60gb . I forget not looking at it but both very large games. around 60gb, 20 gb is not that large but again this game is not finished yet

@phoebebebe13 Yeah its still in development. You're right. Probs looking at like 60+ GB. And I'm not sure about the card versus RAM but all I know is it is running with Unreal Engine 3 so whatever Unreal 3's specs are it should be close.

a lot of games require 8 gb ram that are coming out. Its wise to have a computer with 16gb ram to run the game, windows and what ever else. as far a Vram, my son has a 960 with 4gb. GTA uses most of that but not every game will use that. Skyrim mods need that 4gb vram

If your not buying one now you may have to ask chester to build you a new custom one. Those custom links are only good for a little while. Cyberpower always has sales. Just though I would give you the heads up on that.

I have owned toasters in the past LOL

I'll probably try and find an estimate of when I can get a new pc and then I'll probably ask chester about building me one, if that's better than buying a pre built one. :)

I just watch the trailer and definitely not for me. I can't play 1st person games at all, I get awful motion sickness. Also, I'm not a big fan of MMORPG's, playing with other people isn't my thing. Definitely nothing like The Sims. Sounds more like Second Life & GTA had a baby.

This. I don't play MMORPG's nor do I like realistic style of graphics. I like the way 4 looks, and will not be playing this game. I also have to agree that it isn't anything like a Sims game.

So (i think this is the wrong category?)

There is a game coming out late next year for beta that is kind of like the Sims. Hunger, jobs, housing, etc.
But set in a GTA-inspired detailed world with beaches, casino, shops, restaurants, ski resort, swamp, and more.
I'm not advertising I just think it is a cool game :) And a cool concept I have been waiting for a game like this a long while.
You can DRIVE CARS! It's like GTA where there are cops and robbers.
    It's called Identity RPG

I don't even see this as competition....Sims doesn't have HALF of this.

    The price? $15
But there is a micro-transaction shop for pretty little things.
You can't really build though. :( But you can own a coffee shop!

maybe when we are at the sims 11, while all the others companies already are at VR(virtual reality), 7D and others top not tecnology, then maxis team will be running a i7 third generation with 8 giga memory and making they first 64 bits game after all the others where at 1024bits +

because as long we have a "too difficult(lazy) and too expensive(cheap)" team this will be just a dream.

I would say definitely better to do custom than shelf. You know what hardware your getting in a custom. Its also really easy to get in the case and clean the computer

If its a big game I would guess around 60 gb. Vram is your video card ram and then your computer would run on its own ram. A dedicated video card will run separate and not share computer ram

Building from scratch is much cheaper, customizing is more expensive than building from scratch, and most off-the-shelf is more expensive than both customized desktops and building from scratch.

It could be cheaper to build your own but If you have never done it before I wouldn't . I would get the custom and after the warranty is up you could start to learn how to upgrade after your computer gets older. A gaming computer is slightly higher maintenance then your average computer so owing one is a good learning experience. I have learned a lot owning one and learning how to take care f it.

Well, the most demanding game I'll be playing (most likely) is TS3. :#

I have an xbox, so games like GTAV and skyrim would be on there. So I probably wouldn't be doing many upgrades. ;)
