Welcome to Ripples in Paradise, a comic about two goofy sims head over heels with each other in love--but with a few bumps along the road.

The story started in The Sims 3 in the locale of Isla Paradiso, but when TS4 came out I couldn't contain my excitement and decided to shift their tale to the dusky town of Oasis Springs, instead! With their daughter Alexandra, Owen and Fern embark on their journey through life to try to make the best of it they can.

Ripples in Paradise is my "gameplay" save; while some of it is scripted at times, a lot of the dialogue is made up based on what I catch my sims doing on their own. It's a little bit challenging for me, as if you've read any of my other stories you may know what a control freak I am, but it's a refreshing excursion and I hope you guys will stick along for the ride! ♥

Your pictures seem so bright compared to my game, is it your settings or do you edit them?

They're heavily edited, @windchime00 -- I've got a photoshop action set up that brightens the bejesus out of my pictures.

I'll have to tone it down though, as I installed this lighting mod which makes indoor lighting much, much better. The newest version works pretty fantastically--but I'll still be editing my photos quite a bit, I always do to give the colors more "oomph" and sharpen/contrast/etc.

Awwww, thank you @claritysf! I did RiP with TS3 for a while before this (obviously), but the cartoony-ness of TS4 suits the style a LOT more, I think! And you are so very welcome--I've been updating this pretty heavily the last few days, was a bit too busy today to do too many but I should have at least 3-4 more to post before I head to bed.

Loving this Kaleeko! I don't normally laugh out loud when reading sims stories but you got me multiple times!

My only disappointment - finding out your brightness wasn't a mod! I am desperate for decent lighting and I already tried that mod you posted - I don't know what was wrong but it lit my objects and not the walls so it just looked too odd to use
