That looks fab, ajax. I've downloaded and rec'd.

Just one question though - unusual size, 64x40 - where did you build it? Just wondering where I will be able to make it fit nicely :D
    Thank you :D

I built it for Majix Cove, a world created by my friends at the Daily Deal Stalkers Builders Association. The design inspiration came from the 'dealership strips' you see on the main roads into many cities here in the UK. They are quite big but not that big and, more significantly I didn't want to have too much space that I would have to decorate or make use of on the lot!

Is there a 64x40 lot size built into the game? Can't remember so, if not, you may want to use the Any Lot Size mod to create one, or use any larger available space in your world and perhaps add some extra landscaping :D

    Hi!
I have a small 10x10 lot that I would like to share with you. It's Ichabod's Exotic Collectibles, a shop where you can purchase many of the rare finds and treasures from exotic lands. Makes extensive use of the World Adventures expansion pack. Also uses the door, shelves, and cash register from the Savvy Seller collection.
I was thinking of doing something similar ... now I don't have to! :D

    and ... while I'm here ...

I also tried my hand at a car showroom/service centre:

    Savvy Simon's Auto Centre

It's practically identical to my original Majix Cove Motor Company for the Daily Deal Stalkers Builders Association but has Savvy Seller car spots, register, and door, plus a couple of extra shelves :-)

To download: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=7764365 - unfortunately I had trouble uploading a file containing the good pictures to Exchange so I have uploaded it with the rather dull original images :(

    There's a little back-story at http://ajax-tum.tumblr.com/post/65643383749/savvy-simons-auto-centre

    NOTE:
In order to place the non-décor cars I used Buzzler’s Build/Buy Restriction Choker mod - you only need to install the mod if you want to edit the lot; you do not need it to play the lot as it is.

Well you prompted me to click your link to this thread - and I've been wondering if I was going to find your cool auto showroom store. Glad I found it. And thank you for putting the link to this thread in the Savvy Sellers Shops thread in Creative Corner.

Here is my only attempt so far at making the Savvy Seller Shops.

    Exchange link:

Here they are in Aurora Skies

I thought I'd add a couple of shots of them in Winter in Lunar Lakes
    Shops_K35_LL.jpg

    Shops_K36_LL.jpg

    Shops_K24_MFBR.jpg

They have seven shops inside plus a foyer for each level and public toilets on two floors and an outdoor play area for children on the ground level out back.

Garden shop includes a savvy seller register and a consignment register.

When I first put this shop on the exchange I thought my sims couldn't consign things. But they can. And sell well.

Consigning produce in the humble harvest stand in the ground level foyer.

The croissant bar in the ground level foyer.

    Shops_K9_GFloor_Foyer.jpg

The items in the foyer allow Sims to visit and use the store 24/7.

They also like meeting on the footpath after closing time and dance and play guitars and buy plants that are on the mats on the footpath.

    Shops19.jpg

    Cafe
    Shops_K17_GFCafe.jpg

    Shops_K18_GFCafe.jpg

The cafe has the industrial oven as well as a food register. So if there is no chef on duty the customers can still eat. Or cook themselves something in the oven.

I thought I'd add my second attempt at building some Savvy Seller shops here too.

    Blue Building

    Blue Building
    Lot Type: Community - Hangout
Cost: 542,000 approx on a 35x25 lot in Sunlit Tides
    Lot Size: 35x25
    Exchange Address: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=7784742

My first build using the Savvy Seller items has been quite popular, so when I decided to make another set of shops, I thought I'd follow the same basic plan. This time I knew a lot more about what to expect so it was quicker to build. There was a lot less reworking this time.

There are 8 shops in the complex.

It has no 3rd Party CC. I may have recoloured a few things but all patterns and colours are available in game.

I built this new set of shops in Sunset Valley and saved them to my bin and placed them in Sunlit Tides. I found the wind surfers were deleted from the sports shop on the top floor, so I left them out. You can put them back in if you like. I had them on the mats where I've now placed a canon and some other bits and pieces.

Here is a picture of the two shops as I have them placed in Sunlit Tides.

    Shops_In_Sunlit_Tides.jpg

    Blue_Building12.jpg

    Bar26.jpg

The blue of these new shops is simple and it changes depending on the light. It can be very intense and dark or pale - almost white.

    Ground Floor

    Blue_Building_GF.jpg

    The Ground Floor Foyer

    Bar40.jpg

    Bar41.jpg

    Bar42.jpg

This is the Sim that convinced me to open the bar until later as she arrived after it closed and put on such an upset/angry performance because she couldn't get in. I got this pic after she'd calmed down a bit.

    Bar46.jpg

There are 3 shops and public toilets on the ground floor.

Each shop has a fire escape just in case someone gets locked in. It makes it easy to let them out by unlocking the fire escape door. It is best to keep them locked to stop Sims will wandering around inside whether they are open or not.

The ground floor has basic rest room facilities including facilities for toddlers and babies.

    Bar51.jpg

    Bar52.jpg

The shops are a bar; a nectar store, a games store.

    The Bar
    Bar25.jpg

    Bar24.jpg

    Bar43.jpg

I've made my bar stay open later than other shops in the block as I see Sims turning up there dressed up in their formal attire.

The bar has a professional bar which will be attended by a mixologist.

There are three tables with chairs for customers to sit at. There is a small dance floor and a juke box and two sofas.

Sims are able to purchase or taste nectar from the bar.
    Bar47.jpg

The nectar rack in the bar that they can taste from is on the bottom near the windows.

    The Nectar Store
    Bar49.jpg
Sims can taste nectar from the top nectar rack nearest the door, as well as from the top rack against the other wall nearest the cash register. See pic below for the actual other tasting rack.

    Bar21.jpg

    Bar22.jpg

    Bar48.jpg
Rose Fairy just purchased a bottle of Plasma Fruit nectar and she paid for it and it went into her inventory. She didn't need to use a register to buy it as it isn't part of the Savvy Seller's thing.

I put the rope fence around things in the nectar shop as I thought it wouldn't be a good idea to have Sims come into the shop and start making nectar in the machine, or sitting at the tables to eat or use their computers. Feel free to get rid of the fence though if you'd like to see that sort of thing happening.

The nectar rack at the top, closest to the cash register in this picture is the one the Sims can taste nectar from in this store as well as the rack nearest the door.
    Bar50.jpg

    The Games Store
This store sells things like pool tables, foosball tables, chess tables, dart boards and whatever else you think will work.

    Bar39.jpg

    Bar02.jpg

    Bar08.jpg

    Bar53.jpg
Rose Fairy got herself a gumball.

In my game I have made a few changes to this floor. I removed the Savvy Seller door from the bar and replaced it with a storybook door so the bar can stay open late.

I also removed a piece of the rope surrounding the items in the nectary store because I found Sims couldn't buy items if they were roped off.

    Bar30.jpg

    Bar31.jpg

    Bar32.jpg

    Bar67.jpg

    Bar69.jpg

    Bar70.jpg

In this floor I discovered I had two He doors to the toilets. So if you want a she door you will need to replace one of the he doors. Sorry.

    Top Floor

    Bar44.jpg

    Bar12.jpg

    Bar13.jpg

    Bar14.jpg

    Bar11.jpg

    Bar17.jpg

I initially had windsurfers in this floor as well, but when I saved it to my bin and then placed it in a different world they had all vanished. So I suspect they are not totally compatible with being inside and filled the empty space with other things. Similarly I wasn't able to get the hand and foot ball or the base ball into the community lot. They are both available under outdoor activities on a residential lot but not in a commercial lot.

    Enjoy

This is my latest attempt at Savvy Seller shops. It came much later than my previous two attempts and this one is primarily a roller coaster.

    Rolling Thunder

    Lot type: Community - Hangout
    Lot size: 64x64
Cost: 2,221,719 + cost of the lot

Just one little word of advice on this build -

If you go to the Exchange and see the number of items in it think about the contents of 4 fully stocked Savvy Sellers shops. So - it might be easier for you to restock with items you already own than to buy all that stuff.

There is no surfing in this build.

I've also noticed other things listed that I don't remember using. I'll investigate further and let you know what I find.

I suspect the clothing may be default clothing that has been put onto the mannequins in the dress shop. That would change to whatever you already have.

You won't need the clothes if you don't have Into the Future as you won't have the mannequin's pedestals to display the clothes on.

I've tried to go through the items I have installed in my game and have listed here what I believe is in the game. I could have made mistakes. But I just wanted to give you some idea of what are the important EPs and SPs for this build to work.

In my opinion the main things are:

    The Boardwalk Venue
    Roaring Heights World

    Others that are significant
    Late Night
    - Z Light by Ice Lightening (used in one venue in the build)
    - Clock d'Arte - clock in a Savvy Seller Store
    - Delightful Cafe menu
    - other wall art
    - TVs may be in Savvy Seller Store?
    - Video Games (arcade type games)
    - Pragmatic Pile of Plushness
    - Precious Soap Pump
    - Nectar Nest
    - Pane de Pane shelving
    - Bright Light in a Box Cabinet
    - Top Shelf Bar Shelving
    - The Duke Professional Juice Bar
    - Professional Bar Dive Edition
    - Arga Stool XR
    - Get Up Get Down Dance Floor
    - Classic Master Darter
    - McShufflen' Shuffle Board Table

    - I used a lot of it but you may be happy without those items.
Buydebug Items used include gobos (those lights above the dance floor)

    - I also used EP3 fog emitters for the fish in the big fish tank. I suspect if you don't have Late Night you may not have any fish in that tank. :x

Into the Future - I used a lot of it but you may be happy without those items.

    World Adventures
    - wall art
    - some plant decor
    - some Tomb objects from buydebug used for some of the scary stuff downstairs (such as sarcophagi with mummies)

    Seasons
Seasons provides most of the items on the roof that don't come from the Boardwalk Venue. Without Seasons this won't be a very fun place for Sims to visit.

    Supernatural
    - for scary things downstairs
    - the magic shop contents
    - a few other things scattered around
    - most decor items in this pack are in this build
    - the magic mirror and Alchemy Station and other items with skills attached are in the Savvy Seller Store or set out for use of Sims

I think without Supernatural you will lose the essence of the scary roller coaster. If you don't care about that and only want what you can see above ground then you don't need this EP. You will have to find some other contents for the magic shop as it is almost entirely from Supernatural.

    Island Paradise

    - Sandwich board signage (used once or twice)
    - Travelers Palm
    - All-In-One bathroom - used a lot
    - if you want the coral décor downstairs in the scary part and in the fish tank

    Ambitions

Most of the items in this pack are used in this build. That doesn't mean they are necessarily critical to have.

The Trampoline and the portable Gnubb Set are activities for Sims to enjoy. 1 each used.

The following items are stock in Savvy Seller stores:
    - Scraptronic Work Bench
    - Pedestrian Sculpting Station
    - The digs (a long handles shovel that hangs on the wall)
    - The Robtl 2000 (chain saw)
    - Sturdy Steed Saw Horse
    - Look Out Traffic Cones
    - 3 digital photo frames
    - Blow Dryer 3000 by Hot Air Inc (hair dryer)

Some wall art is also used from this EP.

    - Cozy Counter Island is used in a lot of places as sinks for Sims to wash their plates. You know how they eat a meal in a restaurant or cafe and then walk miles to wash their plate - well I put sinks all over the place. I always used the same counters and sink until I worked all I had to do was provide the Base Game sink so I did use the Base Game 'Plain Basin' for the rest of the sinks I placed.

    Into the Future
    - Second X-7 Jetpack (in Savvy Seller Store)
    - Spring Riders
    - Retail Display Pedestals (for dress shop - makes mannequins appear dressed in clothes Sims can buy)
    - glass floor panels used on low section of roof
    - plants may have been used in display in scary section
    - Tardasian All in One bathroom (I don't think I actually used this here but it could be used to substitute for the other All In One bathrooms if you don't have the other EPs.)
    - Food Forge Cuisine Synthesizer

    University Life
    - all 3 vending machines - several times in various places
    - arcade machines
    - stereos in Savvy Seller Shop
    - Quick Croissants Coffee Bar
    - various decor items (quite a few of them)
    - megaphone (in Savvy Seller Shop)
    - 'Them Bones' anatomy skeleton (in scary place downstairs)
    - ZRX9000 Science Research Station (in Savvy Seller Shop)
    - Cerabalizing Brain Enhancing Machine 1 and 2 (in Savvy Seller Shop)
    - King of the Lounge Pool table by Weighty Concepts
    - Ping Plonk Tennis Table
    - Crashing Pins Bowling Lane (in a bowling room for Sims to have fun in)
    - Flipperty Flop Foosball Table

    Showtime
    - wall art (mostly Large Posters)
    - Power Max 50x120 (exercise equipment)
    - Kingdomino table
    - Buck & Chuck Bronco
    - Las Palmas Palms Planter
    - stereos for Savvy Seller Store
    - arcade tables

    Generations
    - Little Steamer Clock might be in the Savvy Seller Store
    - Exo Edge Gaming System by Reliable Ware may be in the Savvy Seller Store
    - Various pieces of wall art
    - SSX Comfort Zone (I was replacing this seat with the Community Bench from the Base Game but some may still be in the build)
    - Playground equipment - if you have Generations you'll want this stuff, if not I suppose you won't
    - there are 3 stereos in this pack - at least one of them may be in a Savvy Seller Store
    - The Veronica Shoe Rack is in the dress shop - Savvy Seller Store
    - Catalyst Chemistry Lab Station is in a Savvy Seller Store
    - Hopscotch Asteroids
    - Spring Riders
    - Box of Beach
    - Unlimited Fun Times Swing Set
    - Ultimate Backyard Slide
    - Unlimited Fun Times Heat Safe Slide

    Pets
    - Neko Clock (clock in shape of cat's face with eyes that move back and forward to keep time - in Savvy Seller Store)
    - Kitty Calendar (wall art decor item)
    - possibly other wall art items
    - Happy Horse Groom's Tote (in Savvy Seller Store)
    - there might be a Stray Gnome or two in the Scary part
    - Rusty Fred is downstairs too (rusty old wrecked tractor)

    Master Suite
    - possibly one or two minor decor items

    High-end-loft
    - no idea
    - I looked through all the build and buy items in this pack and couldn't find anything I think I may have used. There could be something in a Savvy Sellers store.

    70s 80s & 90s
    - maybe 1 piece of wall art
    - Stereos & TV that will probably be in the Savvy Seller Store
    - Arcade Machine

    Outdoor Living
    - Persnickety Puddlewonk
    - Rock 'n' Rock Stereo

Plus possibly a TV in a Savvy Seller Store

    Town Life
    - Geometric Column (these are the columns you see in the cover picture holding up the roller coasters) I like the look of them but they aren't essential. The roller coasters won't fall down if the columns are not there - although they needed to be there to get the roller coasters to go where they are in the first place.

    - Skip the Fearless Sand Dragon - down in the scary parts of the build
    - Snappin' Seahorse Spring Rider

    Fast Lane
    - Most items in this Stuff Pack are items in a Savvy Sellers store. There may also be a picture on a wall somewhere. Not critical to have for this build.

    Movie Stuff
    - All in One Outhouse

And some things I did use are not listed..

Savvy Seller items - Came with the Gold Only version of Midnight Hollow World.

Onion Dome Roof Topper - Came with Mother Russia set. If you don't have it you could easily replace it with a statue

Grim's Spire - Came with Grim's Ghastly Manor Venue. It is over the front entrance/gate
Grim's Roof Sculpture - Came with Grim's Ghastly Manor Venue. It is over the front entrance/gate
Door of Life And Death - Came with Grim's Ghastly Manor Venue. It is downstairs in the scary bit.
Grim's Window - Came with Grim's Ghastly Manor Venue. It is downstairs in the scary bit.

Barrier to Entry system - came with Le Cinema Plumbob venue

Classic Gumball Machine - came with Regency Arcade
Arcade Machines - came with Regency Arcade
Spring Riders - came with Regency Arcade
Windows - came with Regency Arcade

Classically Creepy Doll - came with Golden Ticket Toy Shop venue

There are probably other things that I can't think of at the moment.

There are four Savvy Seller shops set up fully stocked.

There are three additional Savvy Seller shops set up but with no stock in them. I was worried about the amount of stuff going into it.

And I saw a bed listed - I'm not saying where it is. You won't find it. But it is there and don't worry about it being that particular bed if you don't have it. I'm sure Grim wont mind.

BIG thank you to the people giving me rec's for this. And thank you also to anyone who has downloaded it. I'd love to hear what you think of it.

BTW: There is a spooky roller coaster in the basement as well as the two you can see in the pictures.

I set all my prices to 50% of original price, so that it pays to go shopping rather than buying straight from the catalog.
