I loved the Sim 3 right out of the box...err, download in my case. I also loved that they released a World Builder shortly there after. Can't say the same about Sims 4 thus far...
First, thanks for coming to the forum to explain why open world was not included. I disagree with both points but I understand your reasoning. Hopefully you can understand though why people that love open world, I prefer Skyrim over Dragon Age for example, will stick with what they prefer. Had I known the game was not open…
If Sims was the only disappointing game EA launched or alienated half its customer base you could blame it on that particular group of developers. However, I played Battlefield 2 thru 4 and that game has consistently had problems. Enough so that I eventually went to Call of Duty...which was sadly even worse. Then there is…
It isn't just the people here. Reviewers in the gaming industry have given it an average of 72% per Metacritic and the player base, that took the time to go there and do a review, have gone lower. The number of negative reviews on both Metacritic and Amazon.com are more then double that of the positive reviews. I'm…
The 1 star reviews on Amazon.com are also more then double that of the 5 star reviews. In fact, if you take the 1 and 2 star reviews and add them together they are more then triple the 3-5 star reviews. Its at 2.5 on Amazon right now which is about where I am.
Once EA catches wind of this they will pay some people to go in and write coherent positive reviews. I'm not saying everyone one that does a well written piece on Sims 4 is in EA's pocket but they have been known to do that; as has Microsoft and other big game companies.
Ignoring people that love the game or hate the game the only way you can really see if you like it is either A) purchase the game or B) find a friend that has it and try it out. After a week I am walking the line and could go either way...
I'm still on the fence but you should check out the metacritic site, the reviews from people in the industry are low..72% average. From users the number of negative reviews are now more then double that of the positive. I need to give it some more game play before I vote. Oh and in case you want the link to see the reviews…
Currently on metacritic Sims4 has the lowest rating from industry reviewers and players from any of the other Sims games; expansions not included but I think that may even be close. In fact, the number of negative reviews from players is more then double the positive reviews. You may not agree with them and you may not…
Actually based on polls through multiple websites and reviewers that are not suckling at the teet of EA its split 50/50. Still probably enough for Sims 4 to be moderately successful but not as successful as TS3. In which case they will have to make a decision which will of course be to make more money. Cause when it comes…

I come here and it's all about why the people who are waiting to see if it's going the way they want are dumb. > > Why do people who love the…

Until then... That's really the best way for anyone that doesn't like TS4 to let EA/Maxis know, don't buy the game. If you did…
I think the people, like myself, that enjoy TS3 are just passionate about it and had hoped for more. Not an expansion but building upon what was great in TS3. There are certainly things I am glad to see gone, the robber and repo man for certain. However, this feels like a step backwards rather then forwards. So rather then…
> @beville said: > People will complain about anything and everything, why can't some just love the game or just stick with what makes you happy. They can but people also like to give their opinions, that why people get paid to write reviews and others read the reviews. I never go just off a review but I will voice my…
> @4utumn said: > I'm enjoying Sims 4. If I start missing open world etc.. I'll go play Sims 3 for a bit, it's not like it was deleted. I like sims 4 for what it is, a new instalment in the franchise, something new. I'm loving my quirky, emotional sims, I've laughed a few times already at some things they have done. > I…
I bought Sims 4 because I don't think you can make an informed opinion on anything until you have given it a thorough run through. At this point I'm not as happy with Sims 4 as I was with Sims 3 out of the box. I prefer open worlds and that the reason I prefer Skyrim over Dragon Age. I still love DA for its story but I get…
I'm gonna give this a shot and see if I can make a movie studio that looks similar to the theatre. Wish me luck! :) http://simension.de/sims-3-english-tutorials/sims-3-tutorial-design-rabbit-holes-small-lots-without-downloads/
I tried to download Kit but its telling me my game is not up to date. I was able to download some of your other sims though, like Meg and Tinkerbell, both of those work fine.
I am about to purchase Win8 and came here looking too see if there are any compatibility issues, specifically with the 64 bit version. I've consistently had issues with Vista 64 and Win7 64 and had hoped that would not be the case with Win8. However, reading through these page it seems like the something with the 64 bit OS…
I know this is an old post but it seems to be the best one I have found. To be clear, when you are performing and the crowd wants you to sing the verse it will be the speaker with the music notes in the chat bubble and when they have hearts with music notes they want the chorus?
I responded on another thread about this very thing this morning. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not work...not long term. Its not custom content because my laptop has no CC whatsoever and has the same problem. I should mention it is a brand new Dell XPS 15 and my desktop is an upgraded Alienware Aurora...so not crappy…
I have had this problem before and there is usually something done to them, whether is custom content, a mod (sliders to change their appearance, custom hair, etc.) that will keep you from installing them. Try sending a message to the person that created them and getting some information about that particular sim. Hope…
