Sims 3 was the only game I had to use mods, mostly nraas mods (overwatch, MC, story progression, error trap). I removed them after getting a digital version of the game because I prefer playing vanilla.
I'm hesitating between Showtime and Into the Future because unless I'm experimenting very specific story ideas or just testing the new gameplay features, I never really use them that much otherwise.
I'm not too picky on graphics but what does it really mean for gameplay features, build mode and CAS? only time can tell. I'm always cautiously optimistic about future Sims content and I try to keep my expectations in check, just in case I don't like the news.
So long as I can still actually play the games without many bugs, I'm happy. Of course, there is always some frustrating gameplay features I complain about in all Sims games but nothing that would make me stop playing the games. And since I alternate between them all, I never get bored of playing the Sims.
I kinda feel the same way. I'm happy for buidlers who found stuff they like in what the team showed and the paramaker seems great but what I really want is playing with families that I created. I'm still cautiously optimistic until there is more information about the gameplay. I'm in no rush personally but it will be fine…
Not for Sims 4. If I ever decide to use mods, it would be because of another Island Paradise type pack, which I'm pretty sure will not happen anytime soon. I generally prefer playing as is, plus I'm not comfortable messing with game files.
Never used anything else beside what I had in my head in that specific moment. I occasionally took pictures but I never really use them to tell stories. It's more fun like that imo, especially when something unexpected happen and I have to adapt.
Personally, I don't want it and if they ever decide to include it in either S4 and/or S5, I'll never use it just like I never used Simport in S3 or the gallery in S4. I know some Simmers would like to choose who to invite in their game to play with but I'll be very grumpy if that feature affected the gameplay for single…
Definitively playing the game rather than building. Building in S2 is such a pain. Plus, I don't like that I can't build on community lots in live mode without going back to the neighborhood just to add one object.
They definitively have. When it came out, I remember I had frequent break-ins and vampires biting my sleeping Sims during the night, now I barely see them beside some notifications.
I almost never build though when I do, it's nothing too complex. Whenever I tried to build something in past Sims games, I always stop playing after whatever I was doing while in S4, I still wanted to play the game after building so I guess that's an improvement. Playing with my families is actually the main reason why I…
Subscriptions, always online and micro-transactions would be the biggest break by far. that's what they're doing with mobile Sims games so why would they want to bring it to the PC version. I played plenty of online MMOs in the past but life simulator have never been the main focus so I don't know how they're going to make…
I've been playing S3 a lot over the past few days. I know I would have played it a lot more if i got it in digital. Open world was such an improvement to the franchise. On a date Wedding at the beach Baby on the way Its' a boy
I assume that means there will be quests to complete which is nothing new to the sims franchise, though it used to be exclusive to spinoffs or console/mobile Sims games. Sims 2 "narrative" was exclusive to premade families or just background lore stuff and it was up to the player whether to succeed or fail, though I read…
Since whims are the Sims 4 version of wants and fears, I want them to be reworked so it should be more relevant to individual Sims. Whims should be tied to aspirations, sentiments/lifestyles, traits, skills and current emotions. I think that would make the sims more unique and give more depth to gameplay.
Since the last time I rated it, a lot of things happened. We got university, witches, mountain world, skiing, Asian inspired world, lifestyle/sentiments etc. I feel like Sims are slightly more aware of their environment today. So, a lot better than a simple "ok" but still could get even better.
Never used mods for S4 and probably never will since I doubt there will be an Island Paradise type EP. That's only the only reason I would use mods, not really for gameplay.
Sims 2 allows me to play with multiple families in a single save without mods, that is unfortunately one of S3's fatal flaw and one of the main reason why I play S2 more than S3. Open restaurants is also a plus for S2. Now, both have random restrictions like 6pm curfew for children and teens that I think should be up to…
- Non-static personalities, meaning sims personalities can evolve during gameplay: more/less traits, stronger/weaker traits thanks to either sliders or personality points, sims having no personality, a "perfect" sims. - Ideally, lively open world with no rabbit holes (apart from maybe some careers) - Active schools/careers…
- Likes and dislikes but without any limitation (1 sims has 2 likes/dislikes while another could have 5 likes and 10 dislikes for example) - Interests - I liked the bolts in S2 to determine the level of chemistry between 2 sims (though, I still want to find sims having completely opposite personalities and interests having…
