Yeah, those of us who, for Spiritual reasons, fast from all meat, dairy (including eggs), fish wine and Olive oil, were sent for a tailspin when we realized we had to remove things like Jello from our menus. :open_mouth: @simgirl1010 Thank you for the reminder about our saves! I pulled my Mods folder when I got wind of a…
Smile lines aren't a permanent fixture. I think most of us have them when smiling, but once we stop smiling, they don't linger. And I don't see this as wrinkle-shaming. Yes, we all get them as we age, but as I've stated above, we don't all get them at the same point in life. I think most of us are merely advocating for an…
Oh, sorry, I forgot your save is placed in the 1960's. LOL Yes, short wedding dresses were a trend at that time. (For the record, I didn't like them then, either.)
@Kellogg_J_Kellogg I prefer #1, and #4. I'm a Traditionalist, however. And a romantic, by nature. There is just something about the longer dresses that appeal to me. In fact, I really, really, really don't like a short dress. That's grossly informal for the occasion. Semi-formal dresses break at or just below the knee. It…
Thanks for the links. I can never find what I'm looking for over at AHQ and in attempting to report a problem I never find the mechanism to allow me to do so. I recall upon my last attempt I ended up going in circles with no positive results. Hence my problem was never addressed. :open_mouth:
I'm thinking it has to be what the waiter dropped because vomit usually disappears, if I'm not mistaken. And if the baby/toddler throws food from the highchair, that also needs to be cleaned up.
They should simply create a subtle change. Not such a glaring 'you're getting old' look. My Mom really never looked her age, even when she reached 80, (an elderly friend of mine called my mother a young 80) until Alzheimer's ravaged her in the end. We should have a way to change it in game. The look in my game has a way of…
Does she just dislike the look of it? What is her problem with it? If it creeps her out, and I have to say my Sims never won a trophy for taking out the Mother plant, just stick it in the attic or basement. Or is it harmful?
Don't feel bad. Everyone ages at a different rate. My maternal grandmother had a full head of gray hair by age 35. Most likely she was deficient in certain vitamins, or something. Me? I'm closing in on 69, and my hair is slowly being taken over by white strands of hair. It's still mostly red, but it's progressing as I…
They weren't. In fact, I had to add the skin details to the 'first generation' Sims in my game IE Joseph, Louise, Darke and Carina just because they all now had Adult children. But I prefer being able to make that call. Bad enough all the Elders have heads frull of gray hair, (where's the white hair?) and stooped over. I…
That may be true, but EA made a HUGE mistake making Adults look older than most people in RL appear at that life stage. Just sayin'. I'm also open to mods. Or have they simply extrapolated that Adult starts at age 40+?
@simgirl1010 You certainly have a yard full! I look forward to attempting this again, but it will have to be in my other save. Erik and family simply have NO time.
I'm loving this SP and looking forward to it. I just hope my poor laptop doesn't freeze up, should I get it when it comes out. So far, I'm thinking my gaming rig is on hold for the moment. Sniff, sniff.
That's a great workaround, but in RL would you trust one on your couch? I always put a dining chair against a wall in the dining room, so the toddlers can be with the rest of the family when they eat. Or sometimes they eat on the kitchen floor. In some ways I leave it up to them.
I wish I had some tips for you. I'm also very bothered by the fact that my YAs suddenly looked like they were pushing fifty-sixty years old upon aging to adults. We should have an option. Not everyone ages at the same rate. I'm sixty-eight and am just now showing the age-lines (I should say creases) around my mouth.…
I run into a similar problem. If I use a brick stair, I can get kind of close for the walkway, but finding covering for the porch itself, not so much. I never once thought to use the terrain paint on a porch. NOTE TO SELF: Check out the terrain paints you silly sod. LOL
I've yet to even have a Sim react to colors. So, no. My guess is it could be a mod or cc that's interfering. But, hey, you got a reaction, at least. :open_mouth:
Wow, only twenty days? Seemed like I had longer than that. But, then again, Kayleigh doesn't work outside of the home. And with Erik's schedule he was often free to be a daddy. I would say, either of what simgirl1010 suggested is the way to go. Can't say how long it will take, but many of the milestones are fairly easy…
