Happy Birthday and welcome to the club.. I don't receive the bday pckg either, I have had several birthdays pass in my time on here and alas, no gift from EA.
Mine was just on the 29th of last month and I had the same problem. I stumbled upon a thread that told me to do the following:
- Go to you MyPage.
- Click "My Account" (top left of screen).
- Click "Site Preferences".
- Make sure the "I would like to receive info on The Sims/EA products,
community news and activities" box under the "Email Preferences" headline is selected.
I did that and the objects must have downloaded themselves because they were in my game later that day. I was very surprised. If they don't download automatically, check and see if they're in your purchase history or in your game launcher waiting to be installed.
So I just checked my launcher. The birthday pack wasn't in my downloads tab (it was in my installed content tab), so I think it automatically downloaded and installed itself. Also, here is a picture of what you get:

As for what you can do to make sure there's less room for error in the future, double check that your account is set up so that you receive emails from EA. My birthday is in January and last year I got an email from EA that read:

I received the items that 8NiSci8 pictured above. They're super cute in game, I really wish EA would make sure that all simmers, regardless of country would receive this gift. It's such a shame that it's been so inconsistent.
:shock: Hon sorry to hear you weren't one of the lucky ones, I myself have been playing sims for 11 years now and joined the forums in 2005, yet I have never ever gotten a single thing from EA for my Birthday :?
