This is way too confusing. I haven't received an email about migrating to the new forum. Can someone please send me the link on here and I can follow it. My mail address is still the same on both the Sims Forums and EA.
The new forums are not coming until July 2024 @Gilles8001
If your email is the same on both and you have logged into AHQ , your threads and posts will migrate over to the new forums and be there when it launches.

There was some confusion about what content will be migrating to the EA forums automatically, so we've put together some examples below:
Will not migrate unless nominated here (nothing posted after March 12th will migrate to the new EA forum due to data processing timeframes):
Comment added to a thread on April 1, 2024
Hey wait a sec, that’s APRIL FOOL’S DAY!!!
We can’t just abandon this year’s awfullest jokes and baddest pranks! 😭
In The Sequel To The Sims Forum, no one will know what happened on that specific day, therefore the year 2024 will always be remembered as the year when everyone lost their sense of humor. Imagine that! And this is EXACTLY why sequels are never as good as the original…
I’m only joking of course. I do not own a crystal ball and my eyesight is…well it’s actually not that great either.
I just want to say congrats to all the CCP Champions! 💚
That was the day I was announcing the Simtimate Dragons Collection as well. For shame.
You know there might be a leak I found this render ❤️ Sorry I'll try to not post leaks I just really loved this render
My love, my love, my fearless love, I will not say goodbye..
Sea may rise, sky may fall, My love will never die..
My heart, my heart, My drowning heart, Oh all the tears I've cried
Oh I may weep forevermore, My love will never die..
One suggestion I have for the new forum. Is it possible to give challenges, discussions and stories their own sub sections in the Creative Corner? I feel that discussions and challenges move faster and are pushing story threads down the page so quickly, it makes it hard to browse them.
I am not sure if I should nominate my baby outfit thread. It used to be pretty active when it was in general discussions, but since it moved to the modding and custom content section it has been mostly only me posting in it. But it does have direct links to all the outfits so it cuts out having to search through them all at curseforge and TSR. The thread was started in 2019. What do you guys think?
If you would like it to be moved over, it would good to nominate the thread @mcrudd I think though that it will transfer over anyway because you have made comments on it this year.
I hope the new forum posts actually appear in google searches - I'm not sure why these don't. These threads must be easily accessible for people who have questions or need to look up information.

Honestly, we're not sure what happened either. Something clearly changed related to the SEO of these forums around a year ago but we've been unable to figure it out with our forum host.

speaking of which hopefully search function on new site works bit better than one we have here its very difficult to find threads with it even if you remember whole title of the thread

Search Engine Optimization is definitely a tricky thing. Even if you know all the tricks for finding information it can still present plenty of its own challenges.
So, I do have a question.
Is the new forum going to use keywords?
One of the ways I filter the millions of results looking up information about merfolk is to use the term “merman” instead of “mermaid”. This helps me find what I’m looking for because 9/10 times, Myth, Lore, or other stories that include mermen will include mermaids. Hence, finding search results for “Merfolk”, collectively mermen and mermaids.
When I search these forums, it uses keywords in-text and thread titles.
Will searches in the new forums be keyword based like this one?
Knowing how to title things and what parts of the texts will show up in a search can be helpful.

The new EA forums will support keyword search, however they still need to be set up first (and we're not at that stage of development yet) so I can't give you a super detailed breakdown just yet.
It's also something we can modify over time, so if it isn't quite up to speed at launch we'll still be able to tweak it.

Very helpful, thanks @crinrict
Thank you everyone. I'm very honored to be a part of such an amazing group of simmers.
I couldn't agree more, and I can't say it better myself.
