Updates to packs the way they give us updates to the base game. Not necessarily big refreshes, but little additions and things that keeps them relevant and updated. Like a changing booth to Get to work, the addition of sleeping bags to Outdoor retreat or things like adding more lifestyles (and making them less annoying) and more milestones or Social Bunny post options.

I doubt they'll ever treat the packs like they do the base game but I would really love it if they did. Now they are sort of frozen, when they could be more dynamic.
Moreover, I advise that the cart button must be destroyed!

Agreed, would also be more incentive for people to buy more expansions if they add stuff for cross compatibility, or maybe just some new outfits or other stuff.
The added items could be displayed when looking at the content of these expansions, if relevant.

And generally packs should interact more with each other. Why can't I use a lightsaber to cut through vines in the jungle? Seems perfect for it.

Great idea! Like they should add a bit of infant and toddler cas and bb to packs that came out before infants or toddlers...

A rewind option. But not necessarily to change the past, although you could. Imagine playing something out and rewinding to watch it all unfold.

I would like the tuning for in-game events and pop ups to be adjustable for the amount of playtime. It feels like a lot of new features are tuned for the simmers who buy an expansion, play it furiously for a weekend to do all the things, then don't pick the game up again for another 4 months. It means that whenever something new is introduced, the game pushes it at you relentlessly, everyone complains how it keeps happening, then it gets nerfed completely so no one gets to enjoy it. I wish they'd let us adjust the frequency of all the things we've paid for to account for the difference in play style of someone playing 5 hours a month versus 50+.

The customization options for objects in The Sims 2, where you could mix existing textures, patterns, and colors. Obviously, The Sims 3 system was much better, but I understand that it might have used too many resources. I think expecting a system like The Sims 2's is not unreasonable, and in fact, I came to believe that with Dream Home Decorator, we would finally have it. However, if it wasn't implemented then, it's unlikely to be implemented now.

Cars (and obviously parking spaces and garages). I don't even expect cars that you can drive like in The Sims 3. Just an object that you can have stored in your house, and it appears with you at the places you visit. This feature might seem quite basic, but it has been ignored for so long that I doubt it will ever come.

Differentiated height between teenagers, adults, and seniors. I also had a small hope that this would be implemented with one of the expansions focused on life stages; unfortunately, it never came.

I think those are the three main ones. I'm somewhat disappointed because I don't think they were too unrealistic and added a lot to the game, but I'm almost sure they won't happen. But I could be wrong; less than a month ago, there was a fourth one, which was creating multifamily lots. And similarly, there were already expansions where their inclusion seemed ideal, so I thought there was no hope. Still, it's finally a reality, so who knows.

It would be great. I don't think there would be any objection if an option to enable/disable the lock on unpurchased items were included.

An option to either 'remind later' or 'never remind' for every expansion-specific notification (and their audio sting) for festivals. I'm assuming there will be more festivals with these notifications (with stings) in the future, but I have doubts there will ever be this option.

    • Delete fake buildings and have the ability to actually build on those lots
    • Move or remove trees or decor that's blocking the view, is an eyesore, or doesn't fit the world theme you're going for
I would die to somehow have the option to take Snowy Escape's mountain, or just assets from them, and put them in another world. I want my sims to snowboard and ski, but I don't want them to fly all the way to Japan to do so.

I would like to be able to place the climbing rocks. We have fitness stuff but an actual rock for climbing would be welcome.

I'd love being able to change Sim ages to mid-range or wherever you like instead of only at the beginning of each age group.

That would be great. Would even love if they add the rock climbing mountain and the bunny slope in other neighbourhoods automatically for those that have Snowy Escape. The canyons in Horse Ranch would be great for rock climbing. Rock climbing in Outdoor retreat would be good too.

The return of sub-neighborhoods per worlds <3 this could help with placing certain types of lots like nightclubs and gyms and other community lots that would otherwise take space from the world itself.

At this very moment, I wish there was a door system you could set up on every door (inside of door/outside of door), and when a Sim entered the room to the inside of door part, the door would automatically be locked until he/she exits. Because now, it feels like everytime one of my Sims takes a shower, bath or uses the toilet, another will sim will decide that they must reach the bathroom basin immediatly. I have to manually lock the door everytime to ensure they're left alone and if not, be on high alert outside the door.

We want: Faeries, with a good ability tree, hopefully before summer 2024.

What do we want to get rid of: The holiday bug, the constant showering and the weed glitch.

Would that not make it impossible to travel directly to those locations from another worlds? I quite like that we can travel directly from any world. I usually reserve one of the neighborhoods for community lots and I don't have that many sims that there is not enough space for them to live in.

Right now, I wish there were more musical instruments so we could have a band or a symphony. I would also enjoy couple dances like tango and waltz. I wish there was a modeling career along with a way to make our own saved outfits. It would be nice to have some casino type games.

Yeah, I want my superspy and supermodel James Bond type storyline to be a spicy reality. :D

I would also love some more gym equipment. And I would love for refreshes in the worlds to allow for wading/ swimming. That would be so awesome.

A way to invite sims to bring their whole household to visit you if you don't already know them. I'm fairly sure Sims 2 had this option.

Swordplay as as a skill of its own, not tied to the acting career. My historical and fantasy sims are missing out.

The ability to customise the length of individual seasons per world, or even omit some altogether. This was also possible in Sims 2 in a sense, I can't remember if it was in 3. Alternatively, the ability to disable certain kinds of weather in individual worlds.

More than anything I'd want traits and likes/dislikes to actually affect sim behaviour. It should be more than just a positive or negative moodlet depending on what they do.

Especially since they can only have three traits instead of five, it should do a lot more than in sims 3, not less.

Would be great if lazy sims could actually do any kind of chore faster but at worse quality, and take longer on the stuff they like. Could enjoy just lazing around in bed when they wake up, not getting out on their own unless they have work in an hour or have a need to tend to.
Should be able to lay on the couch while watching tv and do other stuff in a more lazy way. Being lazy could be a whole lifestyle.

A hot headed sim should enjoy fighting games or other stuff to blow off steam, they could be very sore losers in any game they play or any competition. They should not be so fearful, anger should be their first reaction instead. Angry because its raining, angry because they see a ghost, etc. They should be the kind who'd try to punch a ghost and it goes right through them, sims who act rashly in anger.

Evil sims should actually be able to do evil things, maybe have unique opportunities in any job that only an evil sim would think of.
Maybe be able to use some inventions for evil purposes.

Heck, I think traits should unlock unique inventions or other crafts that only someone with that trait can think of. Like only an evil Sim can build a doomsday device, only a lazy sim can invent a chair with build in snacks and drinks, only an active sim could upgrade training equipment to be more challenging, and a clumsy sim could maybe be able to make some stuff by accident sort of, but unable to replicate it at will.
Heck whenever a clumsy sim makes a potion or such there could be a small chance it ends up being something else instead.

For erratic sims, they should not be able to make any specific meal, potion, drink or such. It could always just be random. You could just select 'make breakfast' 'make lunch' or such instead. No sub-menus.

Better looking food. Not exactly sure why the food in 4's as poor quality as it is, especially when Sims 2 and 3 (2 especially) had much more detailed food by comparison.

    Settings for occults.
That way I could e.g. enjoy some hyper aggressive vampire break-ins or Spellcasters autonomously swinging spells without the realism players losing their minds. As it is now, you basically never even see occults behaving like occults unless you control them yourself (or use mods). Options and toggles are something they should have had from the beginning so pack features don't need to be nerfed to nothing because some players chose to buy an occult pack and then whine when there's occults acting like occults but, alas, I don't think this is ever going to happen. At least they added a toggle to werewolves but they should have options like this for far more.

    Occults updated for children.
So I like have a family with 2 adult vampires with a hissing problem... and every single one of their kids hate them because of it. The kids are vampires themselves but the game basically treats them as "normal" so I then have to deal with this idiocy. The way occult kids are now I find very disappointing and lazy.

Ability to smash their stupid phones.
Well, not exactly lol. But I mean, I'd really like an option to disable them. Truly disable them on an individual basis. Currently you can silence them but it basically does nothing. I have been thinking of getting mods but I don't like the "all or nothing" approach because the phone addiction IS appropriate for some sims of mine. (Especially when celebs can even have a quirk like that.)

    Ability to edit worlds.
These empty set dressing worlds would be less empty if we could actually add stuff for our sims to do.

    Customizable seasons.
So hey maybe I want to make my sims even more miserable and play a homeless challenge in a world with perpetual winter.

NPC-Households (esp. families) visiting a Community lot together.

Return of the Sims 2 aspiration meter and long term relationship bar.

    Making out on beds.

    A realistic job application process.

    Strollers.

A lot type that automatically changes appearance for each Season.

I'd actually like a "story-making" pack focused on gameplay. I liked StrangerVille which was a bit like that. I'd like more options for some mid-game prompts that give optional things to do but I'd like that to help drive the story for certain generations or households. I can come up with stuff on my own and refer to what is in the game but I wouldn't mind a pack or concepts that add to that mid-game. I think I'm going to use some of the scenario ideas, for example, in my ongoing rotation.

When thinking about The Sims 2, I really miss that my Sims can't paint my own pictures in-game. My most important character is very artsy, and he loves to paint all the time. In my old game, he painted all my pictures and had those hanging on all of his walls. I am really missing that kind of personal touch the game used to have. So saying this, of course being able to create all these worlds by ourselves is also very, but very missing.
