Is there a way to stop the bunnies from fertilizing the crops?

The gardening help can be a bit annoying if you're trying to do the gardening aspiration. After my Sim completed the cottage living aspiration (I forget what it's called), I no longer had to clean the llama barn, which means that I don't get the super fertiliser that sometimes comes from cleaning the barn.

You have to ask the bunnies to help with gardening. I'm not sure if you can ask them to stop helping with gardening if you've already enabled it, but I think that might be an option? My bunnies haven't been all that helpful, in any case. My Sim still has to weed occasionally, and I'm still needing to fertilise regularly.
I just want things to match. :'(

I had a rabbit attacked by a fox while my sim was not present, I had to check how it fared, and to my surprise and joy the rabbit won :) The fox also eat a hen at my chicken farm. I like this feature, not because I want those small creatures to die, but it adds realism + it adds tons of suspense. At my chicken farm the owner is still trying to collect enough upgrade parts to install the fox alarm. I'm constantly overlooking the lot top spot a fox, they sneak in often, but normally they just leave or can easily be shoo'ed off. But when they attack, it seems they are very focused on that action, and it might happen quite suddenly and quick. Poor Norma, the hen, had no chance as my sims were far away, although she was a happy hen and I thought happy birds would sand a better chance. During the night when my sims are all asleep I'm getting quite nervous for my chickens and nearby rabbits, I don't think I ever felt this way in this game before, LOL. It makes it more rewarding when nothing bad happens - and frankly, I don't think the fox will steal/attack too often.

Back on topic, I did not befriend any rabbit yet, so i have no idea how many rabbits would help with my gardening.

To disable garden help there's an instant toggle under "Actions..."
Where are the pet bunnies, Sims 4 ?! :'(

Not as far as I know. If you ask for their help, they do both.

I'm up to at least 4 bunnies living in their tree stump on the lot.
Another horrrible day though, this time it was my sims wedding day. Her favourite rabbit ( and mine) who has been on the lot since day 1 and definitely a pet in his little jersey and helping with the garden, got taken by a fox shortly after the ceremony.
I should have quit without saving but the wedding had taken an age and had gone really well, so it is what it is, her big day got ruined.
I'm turning off the wild fox lot trait from here on. RIP Peter, you'll be missed.

Do you have to feed and socialise with the bunnies like you do with chickens, or do they take care of themselves?

I placed 3 stumps on my 64x64 lot and so far I've counted 12 bunnies...Every day there are new ones and I've run out of clothing to differentiate between them all. :D

They take care of themselves, but I think your friendship with them can decay if you don’t interact for a long time. It doesn’t really do much, friendship levels are only so you can get garden help & gifts from them.

Oh my goodness so many posts about all your bunnies <3 Some happy and sad stories. I have switched aging off and also took the fox challenge away so hopefully I will only have happy tales <3 There is just too many to reply to, sorry I have been missing in action, but I had my covid vaccination yesterday and was hit for a six so did a lot of sleeping LOL. But loved reading about all your bunnies :)

I have Peter, Hopper, Clover, Flops, Spot, Cricket, and I had Bun Bun (lost him to old age :'( ). I do wonder if there is a limit, I have I think 3 wild ones showing up as well.

aww that is so sad that you lost your Bun Bun :( I unticked aging for the animals, don't think I will handle that well.

I like the fact there’s an ageing option. Really looking forward to getting chickens 🐓!

As I play rotational, will the animals only age when I play the household? Or should I disable it when I move to another house?

Now alternating between Sims 2,3 and 4! 😊☕️🌞

The bunnies coming out of the ground gives me the “willies” just like the vines coming out of the shower drains in Strangerville.😭

I've turned animal aging off, too, because I realized it might bother me. But I'm leaving the wild fox trait alone, at least for now; for some reason I really love seeing the foxes. My sim is so busy I haven't taken the time to get attached to the chickens or bunnies, and I barely ever see the birds.

I only have one bunny in my main save. He is some sort of giant crossbreed rabbit (yes I cheated and sized him up 1!) and is all white with bloodshot looking eyes. I then realiesed after some investigation that his favourite treat is meat! :o
This might explain what happened to all the other bunnies....also why I named him Monty!LOL :D>:)
