@rosemow@fabtiffsim ...on the Ancient Egyptian Village challenge... does it have to be precise... or can I build my own version of a 'make-believe' kinda Ancient Egypt ? ...because i'm having trouble with the some stuff Because this guy LOoks stupid
Hello @maryjane2joe Fabtiffsim runs the thread and she will answer your question. But she is very flexible and would encourage you just to use your own creativity! You can build your own version of an Ancient Egyptian Village
Just wanting your opinions on what side looks better the gold statue on the left, or the statue on the right. Which one looks more Egyptian, or like it should be there? any other ideas or suggestions im open to hearing too
Thanks i think i will go with the ones on the right. I just have a few more areas to decorate/finish in my build - its pretty difficuilt to do egyptian style! Maybe i should use some cc!? For a couple of things im missing
@maryjane2joe wow i was amazed by your build so far looks very ambitious!
I'd like an opinion, too. I rebuilt the Al Simhara marketplace and two nearby residences from Sims 3 World Adventures. My daughter wants me to keep it exactly as it is, so it's as close to the original as possible, but it looks like this:
Sims 4
Sims 3
Sims 4
Sims 3
It's as exact as possible, square by square, but it's not very exciting to look at. So my question is...
tl;dr: Should I stick with a faithful original, or pummel it into something different?
Your WIP looks very great! @phantasmkiss You have reflected the Sims 3 Al Simhara Marketplace so very well! It does look just like it! If you would prefer, you could add a few extra items if you would like to. You could keep the layout and design as it, and just add what else you would like to also include in the build. It looks great as it is now though
Your Ancient Egyptian Village build looks so very detailed and great! @maryjane2joe You would have put so much time, work and simming efforts in to the build! There are so many great feature areas! Very nice design of the layout of the village! The underground garden and chess area looks very great! The large fish looks scary!
wow @Ainsleyf gorgeous treehouse, love the pool under the tree! and @maryjane2joe fantastic Egypt build. The Sphinx looks great, cant wait to get a proper look! @leashahampton your wip looks fantastic, definitely the lotus one on right fits in more though.
I'm nearly done but still a few bits to finish & photos to take. 18th deadline isn't it?

Thank You !! It was a very time consuming build but interesting and fun.

It was very nice looking at the slideshow pictures of your Ancient Egyptian Village! @maryjane2joe Each of the areas in the build looks so very nice! It is such a very detailed build! You have so very creatively designed and built the village! The angel pond is very special The pyramids, and the way you have done the stairs in the build, looks great!
It is a very great Ancient Village!
Thank You !! @rosemow ...your comment review has made my day!! I honestly didn't know for sure if I could pull this off.. it felt complicated but still fun... that's why I said in my earlier comment !!Phew!! lol I can't wait to see all the others.. I give big praises to those who are still working on it because ... wow... it's a tough challenge... but still worth it

I think it looks amazing just like it is... you did a great job with it!! ...if it were me.. I would absolutely add more to it but only because adding more to it would combine your talent along with their talent.. sorta like the icing on the cake.. otherwise it still looks amazing tho

Back story: (Tell us what is up! More equals more here!) So i built a palace based off an old map, and then improvised parts to my own liking - i found it pretty difficult to decorate - so i feel it looks a bit empty - but decided i would enter anyway! (i'll write more under each picture )
Images (3-4 images):
The Grand entrance, I used the big park in oasis springs, for some reason that lots "entrance" is backward!
The Altar where you can pray to many of the gods
The Pool hall, where you can see many of the levels of the HUGE build
The Green room with a sky light, helps to air out the stone building
The Throne room, where honored guests are greeted , otherwise if not honorably they are only greeted in the entrance room.
The hidden Tomb, which houses the past Queen
Also I wish we had farm animals! i would of put them in the animal room!
The design and the layout of Egyptian Palace looks so very great ! @leashahampton The design of the exterior of the palace building looks great! Very nice furnishing of each of the areas in the build! The green room is very nice! The green plants and trees in the middle section, and the greenery on the walls gives a very nice look to the area! Very nice design of the throne room! The type of and placement it the curtains look very nice there. The treasure chests and gold bars on top of them are a nice touch and the thrones look great! The fruit bowl is a nice touch on the table between the thrones, The floor patterning looks great! Very nice design of the altar area. The steps look great how they are used there!
The palace build is very creatively designed and furnished !

Back story: This was a huge challenge but.. fun!! This is my version of Ancient Egypt as best as I could get it. There are hidden rooms. Hidden tombs. Plenty of full size bathrooms and Sleeping quarters. Hidden treasures. Mummies. Search and find the Deadly Pool. There is also a mesmerizing angel pond. A beautiful huge pool with a beautiful garden pool. A huge banquet and dining hall. So much I can't list it all. But otherwise - Enjoy!!
