I'm loving apartments! I've done two so far... (Detail pics at my flickr HERE) Both are available at the gallery under my creator name, LadyEmperorSims.
My Dane Family who last year left the suburbs for a small apartment in a brand new building in Windenberg have move into the sprawling urban city of San Myshuno into a small but efficient apartment in a building on the desirable Spice Market Plaza! I took the smallest apartment in Culpepper and turned it into an affordable, intimate family friendly space BIG on charm and premium details. 2 bedroom/1 Bath- entry hall, galley kitchen with separate dining and living- GREAT city views. All walls are solid- NO REBUILD NECESSARY
Culpepper, the haunted one though I haven't seen any ghost yet.
hard to get a pic of the bedroom with walls up, but you can see a bit more in the mirror
and the childs bedroom
I love the idea of blocking part of the apartment off in the bigger ones, I will definitely be doing that.
@ikiamyetta Dekay's post above essentially shows the method- I usually just build like normal and then go back and knock out a wall, then use the push/pull method of reforming the wall to bring it back into place as opposed to doing it from the start. It works really well, I've never had a problem with sims and privacy-yet- lol.
@MDianaSanders your flat looks great, is that the one with the dead body outline on the floor???
My sim lives in that one now. I love the size and so cheap.
I renovated the VIII Landgraab apartment and had a lot of fun trying to decorate it for my sims personal tastes. One's a bit of a plant-a-holic and the other an aspiring musician (all of her instruments are portable so can't really see them in the screenshots atm)
Split up into different parts on the gallery but all of it is on my profile - Part 1 can be downloaded here Needs to be placed with Move objects turned on for the best placement.
So in love with all the apartments in this thread! Amazing work everyone. It's fun to see how we all recreate the same spaces our own ways.

No pictures, but I gotta say the dead body outline was a brilliant idea by the developers! And to top it off, every now and then it would stink! Perfect touches of realism.
@feetinstockings As far as I know this particular apartment is free of anything seriously weird, or I missed it - I've only played one and a half Simday. Even the gremlins trait is removable.
This is the only apartment I've decorated from scratch so far! It's for my Young Adult sim named Kinsley, she's just starting out in the Social Media career as a beauty blogger I was really trying to go for that classic pinterest-y type of decor. My only complaint is the little history plaques that you can't remove because of the lot traits ... but I love the apartment so much I'm willing to look past those for now. It's located in the Arts District but I forget the name of the building!
This is the TLC apartment in the Spice District - the one with the mouses!
The grumpy looking bloke on the couch is a slob and a glutton and a geek who likes collecting, hacking and playing video games. He feels right at home in the Spice District and curry, mice and 'roaches suit him fine.
I took 7 squares from indoors to make his balcony a bit bigger.
His friends from the 'burbs aren't used to seeing rats in the kitchen!
Hopefully I'll have some pics of my renovation of the 21(?) Culpepper apartment, the one with tlc . I'm still working on a couple rooms- mainly the living room XD.
LOVER of all things cosplay, anime, cats, Shadowhunters, and Sims 4!

The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

Interesting. I didn't read all the comments but I saw that you still need to go over the walls, for privacy

LOL! I kinda dig the little "shocked" animation, followed by the need to hide- ha ha ha!
I know it's a tiny apartment, but I spent several hours redecorating it!
