Hey guys. GC had posted a status with the link to this (meaning, the new forums - obviously). I don't know if I like the new layout. If you go to the forums the other way, it says that they are in read-only mode. And in order to get here you have to *log in*?! 0_o That seems really stupid. Plus, as sunset said, when you first come in you don't even see your avi. Stupid. *sigh* But, I suppose as things must change, EA figured so should the forums as well.

Mouse over your post. See the little gear in the top right corner? Click it and you'll get an option to edit. Click that to edit. It's a pain but doable.
If you hover over a post a little cog appears in the top right hand corner that you allows you to edit it. I have a feeling that these forums aren't exactly finished yet because you have that option on posts that are not your own too.

I'm sure it is. No forum with any sanity whatsoever allows people to edit each others' posts. I hope they fix it soon. I know this is EA we're talking about, but I hope they'd at least have this much sense!

They need to fix this or it could have disastrous consequences.
Now, it'd be nice if they had an adapted version letting you give someone permission to edit certain posts of yours, would be great for people co-hosting things. But they can't do this! It could have quite some consequences.
The only problem I am seeing with editing a post, is that say that you don't like the smiley you first picked. So you go to edit your post and pick out a new one. Trouble is, the new smiley doesn't show. So you copy and paste your WHOLE comment so you can now pick the right smiley and you end up posting twice. (just happened to me over on another thread)
I have no idea about that, MsPrissy, is that the case? I don't like these smileys so I've been trying to avoid them showing up whenever possible. That sounds odd though.
