Wow. Thanks for the pictures. That gnome standing in front of the toilet is almost in one of their favourite spots. In front of the shower or toilet so the Sim has to stand there waving and stamping feet when they have to go. I usually try to give them a kick to get them out of the way. It took me ages to realise I could just drag them out of the way. So I do that now - especially when they decide to lie down in front of the fridge.

My gnomes in my Skylight House seem to love being on the Case Closed Coffee Tables. I am almost certain I got those coffee tables when my sculptor Sim made them by sculpting. I now check those coffee tables regularly to see which gnomes have claimed them for the moment. They seem to rotate fairly quickly.

Here are a few pictures of the gnomes I've come across there so far.

And I found this pair in the garden. I wondered if they are doing Tai Chi?

And I found a gathering of a few of the gnomes in a few different places. Since I have this house in Lucky Palms at the moment the grass is missing.

(I used fake grass in the inside gardens to avoid the unfinished room moodlet - that's why the previous picture shows gnomes in the garden with grass.)

I have two of the Lounge Lizard gnomes. I like them as they give my Sims a +20 moodlet all the time.

I think the Zenyattas have a glitch in their generation code, like they were supposed to appear when a horse 🐸🐸🐸🐸 the salt lick for 80 minutes consecutively, but they don't clear the count so they appear every time the horses lick 80 minutes in total. Because I know my horses don't spend 80 minutes all at once at the salt lick, but I'm always flooded. I just periodically sell off all the unnamed ones; it's a great income source!

I'm not sure how I got the spring gnomes (I have 2). The first year I went to the festival and did the easter egg hunt, with no luck. The second year, my Sims came home with a new baby and almost tripped over the pink guy at the mailbox. I've not seen anywhere that you can get a spring gnome as a baby gift! The other one is similarly mysterious (no pun intended). He just turned up beside the fishing pond one day.

The summer one turned up behind the barbeque grill. I understand he's supposed to be attracted to barbeques and fireworks.

For the winter gnome, I sent the whole family out to build snowmen, aided by the fact the kept getting wishes to build more snowmen. And then poof! there was a much smaller sgnoman in the middle of them.

I've got the cat gnome, too. He caused me a lot of trouble, because the cat always pulled the wrong toys out of the box, so I had to break off and send her to get another toy. Usually, the catnip mouse was the third of the three. After I finally got the gnome, I accidentally discovered that I could have just clicked on the box and selected the specific toy I wanted. I'll get a dog soon, and see if I can snag the dog and freezer bunny ones. And my teenager has just taken an interest in sculpting, so I hope to get that one was well.

I did trick-or-treating and went through the haunted house many times over three falls and never did get the witch; I'll try just repeating the haunted house this fall and see if it'll work. I've added the wishing well to my game, and will see what I can pull out of that. This game is a 50-foal challenge (thus all the Zenyattas) so I can't get all of the gnomes without breaking the rules, but I want to see how many types I can get.

I also have a vampire gnome from growing plasma bushes, and the laundry gnome from the laundry.

Thanks. I'll try getting my Sims to use their bar-b-que more.

You can get lots of extra vampire gnomes by putting teddy bears on the floor. The vampire gnome turns them into vampire gnomes. Some people use this as an income source as the teddy bears don't cost much and the vampire gnomes sell for about 1000 simoleans each.

That's interesting. Thank you for the info.

I suppose this is an activity for Sims to avoid in Spring for people who don't want gnomes in their game

I've been extremely busy the last few days making a thread in Creative Corner. Now I have all of my 5 lots that I've put on the Exchange fully listed in 1 thread.

While doing this I had each lot open to make sure I didn't miss anything. In my Skylight House I had a Sim who got to the top of Sculpting and Inventing and she made some little side tables that I left in the house.

The thing I noticed is that the gnomes in the house kept getting onto these tables so I started taking screen shots of them. I would check every so often to see which gnomes were on the table at any 1 time.

Here is Sultan Sam - he's the latest one I found on one of the tables. The other table was empty at the time I got this shot.

    Gnome_Sultan_Sam.jpg

This is the link to the thread in Creative Corner that has the pictures of the various lots in it. There are a few gnomes in some of those lots. Especially the Skylight House.

Since I posted last, I got a Sim puppy and a Wishing Well, and added the freezer bunny and singing gnomes (and an incredible number of 'Perfect' fish) to the collection. I also sent a Sim down to the catacombs again, and hit the jackpot - not one but TWO original gnomes! I went through the haunted house from festival opening til closing with two Sims and got nothing except a faux ghost for a son; no witch gnome yet. Sigh.

The first time I saw a gnome in game I was so creep-ed out. It got worse when I found out they can move around when you are not looking. The only one I started to like is the swim-ring one.

But after reading some of this thread, OMG...I would NEVER have known all this!
Don't know whether to be amused or scared of them...
But I guess it IS funny!!

Thanks for posting this thread! Learn something new about the game every other week!

(I quit the game for awhile from glitches/problems. Started playing again a couple months ago...but with a real-life family, not always easy to find time).

The only place I've seen freezer bunny gnome is in buydebug. Con you post pictures please?

I usually play a household of 8 young adults and send a few through the haunted house. One or two of them usually get one or more knackerbells in a day. I do usually get a fake ghost or two in the process but I keep sending them through. And if one is a coward they usually throw up each time they exit.

I forgot to mention the perfect fish. I wonder if the variety of fish types is good dnough for the Perfect Aquarium LTW? There sure are a lot of sharks.

I found a thread on Zenyetta gnomes in the Pets forum. I was going to post a link to it here but I'm on the way to work and using my iPhone. So I hope I don't forget to do it later.

    Happy Simming

I finally landed a Knackerbell (and the Gnome for All Seasons badge), and went to put her on the lot to discover a gnome convention in the jumping field. I lined up the Pets and Seasons gnomes, and managed to photo just as the kitty went *poof*. Then I found everyone had moved to the front yard to play ball.

    311Gnomepoofing.jpg

    312Gnomefrontyardconvo.jpg

Freezer Bunny has a pretty good shot in the center of the center photo. --Whoa, I just realized that there are two of them in the last photo - I didn't realize I'd gotten a second one! (Now to teach the puppy NOT to bark at the fridge. )

Congratulations Trippa. I'm glad you finally got a Knackerbell. And two Freezer Bunnies.

    Thanks for showing the pictures.

Somehow I ended up with a baby gnome in a game where, up to that point, I only had 1 other gnome. The especially weird thing about it is that this is the 1st time I can ever recall even having a baby gnome. My sims in that game have since "caught" some more gnomes while fishing.

I've only started seeing baby gnomes since I started this thread. But I must have had one in the first post as there was one young one and the rest were old.

Fishing does seem to be the most likely source of gnomes for me but they do just appear and I get them other ways too.

@Myrrhawa that is quite a balancing act he's got there. Lucky he's got his walking stick.

    Thank you for posting.

I wasn't going to post any more for a while, but I just saw my Little Leon Magic Gnome sleeping in front of the TV and he's definitely sucking his thumb. I thought that was quite amusing to see.

Just finished reading the last 4 pages! It was alot of fun. And I love the pictures. :D Okay, to get the dog gnome I need the dog toys? need to step up my game. Since I'm in MH with the Goth's, all they have so far is the Spring gnome and recently the knackerbell gnome. I can't wait to get them more. :P

    The ghost gnome died.

Funny you should mention that about the little brown Laundry Gnome.

I got an interesting picture of him too yesterday. It is the first time I recall noticing his eyes are little hearts.
