Howdy!! Welcome to your June Flash Mob thread.
As you can see in the banner, I have added a few faces. These wonderful simmers have ALL been honored in the last 17 Flash Mobs. All deserving, All truely special.
This is why we do what we do. It is easy to be mean, ugly, rude, and dishonest,
BUT it is EVEN easier to be nice, honest, respectful, and giving.
We honor these wonderful traits in every person on this site, and this month our honoree is no exception.
Today we start fresh!!
Lets take a walk down Past Street to the corner of Then and Now Avenue....where are 'Now' FM Facilitator, Ms Ernesa, is reminiscing in her rocking chair

January 2012 - Immskayleah came up with a plan, she wanted to take out TNT_Terry's wish list. Her reason behind it was simple. Terry is a very active member of the simming community, selflessly giving of her time and friendship to many on the forums. After coming up with this plan immskayleah asked me if I would be willing to assist her in recruiting the community to help take down Terry's massive wish list. We were successful in forming a mob of gifter's and took Terry's WL down to practically nothing. Poor Terry didn't know what hit her. During the week of plotting the endeavor took on a life of its own. It was decided by many that this was a something worthy of a monthly event, and thus the Flash Mob was born. A big thanks goes out to pnoles for giving our beloved event it's name.
Isn't she wonderful?!! Please give a big cheer for the lovely Ms Ernesa. Thank you sooo much!!
So, I say, "Are we ready to Party!??" Well, "Are we?!!" Then let's go.
BUT.... first a few rules and for those just joining us a few guidelines.
Each month us hosts (whoever they may be) pick a deserving target/member to honor that have shown great willingness to get involved within the community. These members are active, selfless and show great kindness and willingness to help others before helping themselves. We appreciate this, and in return we honour their dedication with as many gifts as we can throw!
BUT, these gifts DO NOT need to be gifts from their wishlist. There are lots of gifts that can be given that do not require simpoints.
For example:
- A kind word, poem, story etc.
- Rec’s to their studio
- Making Sims
- Making Pets
- Patterns
- Recolours (Items, clothing, hair, accessories..)
- Building Houses
- Building Community Lots
- Be creative!
* Not everyone uses CC, so please refrain from using CC in any of your creations!
* Don't upload your creations to your studio until the 8th please! You may export them to your launcher ready, but no early gifts!
Now, those nasty, but necessary rules:
1. The purpose of the flash mob gifters is to honor a member of the community who has shown great kindness and generosity to their fellow simmers. An ideal candidate is helpful and active in the forums as a whole, and does not need to be limited to the GG forum. This should be a person who has limited access to, or limited availability to buy SimPoints as that was immskayleah's original intent.
2. All gifts are allowed. This includes items from the store, custom creations (sims, homes, community lots, and recolor's), stories and poems. It can now even be free gifts from the new in-game option. Personal messages to the honoree the day of are also encouraged.
3. The Flash Mob will convene on the 8th of every month, at 8:00 P.M. in your local time zone. This will provide a full day of gifting for the honoree and allow everyone in the community to participate.
4. There will be 2 hosts every month. This allows for the demands of RL, and more communication with the community on the event.
5. On the 8th day of the month the hosts will oversee the Flash Mob thread and provide any necessary assistance.
6. And the most important rule is for everyone to have fun together as a community!
So, now that the 'necessary' has been said, who wants to sign up?!
Here is whatcha do:
- Bookmark this thread, we all know our minds wonder!
- Go to either My or JessiePrescott’s My Page and under our “About Me” Sections there should be an email address. Just send either one of us an email and voila ...you magically know the name of our honored sim. HaHa, just kidding! Myself or Ms Jessie will send the name, along with any info we have obtained, and our decoy's name back to you.
To avoid confusion and accidental slips, I ask that you aquire honoree's name from JUST myself or Ms Jessie. I sooo love the help of all my fellow simmers, but my ol' heart would not be able to take the scare.
- Once you’ve received this vital piece of information please come back to this thread and let us know whether you want to take part! (BUT WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT POST THE HONOUREE’S NAME!!)
AS THIS IS A SURPRISE ATTACK, ONCE YOU KNOW THE HONOREE’S NAME PLEASE KEEP IT A SECRET! NO POSTING HINTS TO THE PERSON INVOLVED OR TALKING FREELY ABOUT THE NAME!
