I have a question! How do you get your own images of your sim to pop up as the picture instead of the default pictures?

    Example: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=5758675 <---This sim
    http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=5758951 <---This lot
And of course, SmokyTopaz's avatar.

Hi! I'd like to add to this helpful thread by sharing a couple links:
    1. Zoo U: Zoo U is home to interactive lessons gioven by different, talented, experienced builders. It is a great way to use tutorials and get practice.
    2. Curved Walls I made this tutorial myself for curved walls, using columns.

Hi guys! I'm just wondering how do a certain thing in the sims, its probably really easy but I just cant figure out how to do it!

    http://www.themodernhouse.net/resources/12090/2_Large.jpg

Basically, I want to create a really modern house like the one in the picture! However I'm confused about how you do it! Its really hard to explain cause I don't know how you describe it but basically i want it like it is in the picture where its a full second floor if you know what I mean its like cut off if you know what I mean like you have the upstairs room and then its like a balcony sort of thing! God I'm talking a load of rubbish here but hopefully someone will know what I'm talking about :/ haha!

RebeccaPowell.... have you tried putting a wall on the floor below, building the upper level, then knocking out the wall below your balcony? That might do it....

Excellent and very useful thread! Thank you for posting!

I do have one question for apartment building. Is there a way to add apartment doors like in S2 Apartments, where each door represents a household?

I have aparments and townhomes that I built but it operates as a single household. Therefore, I have lock the front doors to each apartment to only allow the sim who lives there.

I've been waiting a very long time for apartment doors! Thought that we would've gotten them with Late Night but was disappointed to see that we didn't!

    Hi,
This is a great thread that I have had book marked for a long time now and keep coming back to it.

I have one problem which I hope you can help me with. The link for lovingreds tutorial on swaping out the exchange cover photo has been great I can now swap out for screen shots but I don't have word on my pc. I run windows 7 I have open office which I have tried this with but when I go to swap out the pictures the files don't show. They are on my system i know exactly where they are but they don't show when i want to replace them. What other program can i use? or am i doing something wrong? Not very tech savvy so simple terms would be great. Thanks for any help it would be much appreciated. :)

Sorry Found out how to do this using Gimp 2 So please ignore above. Thanks

    Hey SmokyTopaz!

The link for the Creating a Cemetery with Ghosts is a dead link. Too bad, cos I really wanted to know how to do this. Do you know if there is a *current* tutorial for this? Thanks.

This is another dead link. I think whoever had this website had deleted everything that was ever on it.
