My third go at infants and I've got twins, I played 3 sim days and had to take a break, I don't even have the pack, I find them challenging enough as it is, sigh.
I'm also quite bothered by this updating of iconic Sims in this version. If they wanted to "fix" premades they could give them seasonal outfits and adjust relationships that make them match their backstories, or tweak their hair, I'm looking at you Dina, not change them completely. I've played this game for 7 years, the…
Here's a list of clubs hidden in the game already, I like to add some of these when I start a new game. https://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/forum/index.php?topic=25254.msg430883#msg430883
I make save files for new games with edited premades, empty lots filled, and more clubs etc. Then whenever I want to start a new game, I don't have to start from scratch. I generally play a game til my starting Sims pass away. Then I get sad and lose heart to continue, sigh.
I usually stop a save when my starting sim(s) dies. I get attached and loose heart once they all move on to the ghost stage. I play with custom aging, so my sims live a long time, but I abandoned playing with aging off years ago.
I started new game recently, and instead of making a sim, I decided to use two random townies from previous games I took a liking to and had saved to my library, these were game created sims, I take no credit. My main goal for this game was to have my sims be friends with and (hopefully) romance a premade. Here they are: I…
I just saved the old version from a test game so I can replace them whenever I start a new save. I'm attached to them after all these years. FYI, aside from make body hair I never do much to edit premades, well. I do give Dana a new base game hair, so she and Eliza don't have the same doo.
I always have a teen bowling club in my games. It helps my teens make friends, find romance sometimes, and gives them a hobby, plus there is a 300 simolean scholarship for when they go to uni.
The create a story option helped me to break out of my usual pattern for making sims. Also, for my last two games I used a starting sim that was a random sim culled from the game. They were essentially random townies I took a fancy to.
Besides the ones mentioned already, I'd like to add Zerbu's face and body presets. I'm not a builder but I love CAS, I like to make sims and give them a little backstory. I'm not good with the editing tools in CAS, pushing and pulling on sims with a mouse is not a skill I have. When I started using the presets it opened up…
I used to be like that, the first couple years I bought every pack. Then after Cats & dogs and Vampires, well I realized that I had spent money on packs against my better judgement, everyone was raving about them, so I got them. After that, I stopped buying stuff unless I really thought it would fit my gameplay. In the…
I've only bought 2 pack in the last three years, DU and Moschino. Plus, I disabled vampires and cats & dogs. I have all the packs I want or need already. When I watch people on YouTube playing with all the packs, I find there is just way too much going on.
Thanks @greydonn & @Stormkeep That was indeed the household I was remembering. I always create a teen bowling club in all my games and Tommy Oakes fits the bill to start one in my new game.
Get Together, I find the club system integrates with my game in a lot of ways. For example, I like to create bowling clubs for my teens. I get a lot of gameplay that way. There is a lot of clubs I make using the list of games already in the game as well.…
I mostly start with a single sim male who's straight or gay or a straight female, always YA. Only once did I have a YA widow with a child. It's a sim I created or a random townie from a game I saved. Then I like to see who comes along for them to marry and have a family. I end up adding thier BFF's to my rotation too…
Episode 13 Conversation overheard at Riverside Roost JEANNIE: So, I guess what we’re all wondering, I mean, there’s a certain amount of interest, you understand, oh dear, I’m afraid I’m having trouble expressing myself adequately. AKIRA: No Kiddin’? LIBERTY: The thing is Salim, none of us had any idea you and Gunther were…
Episode 12 Conversation overheard at Riverside Roost MIKO: OMG, he’s getting so big, I can’t believe he’s old enough to talk and everything already. (sigh) LIBERTY: I know, it seems like it’s been no time at all since he was born. TRAVIS: That’s ‘cause being married to me makes it seem like time stands still, Babydoll.…
