I’d like Servos to be expanded on, Discover University didn’t do them justice, they honestly feel like a reskinned Sim and they don’t even have ghosts, they just get deleted upon death. They should look at how they did Plumbots in Sims 3 and get ideas from there. I particularly loved how you could either keep Plumbots as…
At the moment this just feels like Island Living that has been rewrapped to be Eco Lifestyle, especially after reading the blog. I hope I am wrong, let’s just hope there is much more details they are holding back from us
I too have noticed this issue. My Sim had siblings who lived outside of the household but eventually, when their ghost got culled they disappeared entirely from the Family tree, no trace. I assume this is unintentional? As when my Sims parents get their ghost culled they at least remain in the family tree.
Random deaths are very rare for me. They only seem to happen in these particular circumstances: 1) Inviting everyone to an outdoor party with formal wear in a heatwave. Every Sim seems to lose all will go live and they drop one by one instead of seeking shelter. 2) Repairmen still trying to repair despite being…
It would be interesting to have NPC family members but at the moment the AI seems rather borked for Sims I leave on free will. NPC Toddlers, children and teens is a challenge I try, which works well with parenting skills and gives the children a sense of personality, but even then the free will AI isn’t that great.
I populate my town with my own sims, and then turn ageing off for everyone except active household. I find that the town becomes rather desolate if you let all the premades die out.
I’m disappointed with Aliens in TS4. They could have had interesting genetics, especially with those alien eyes on a human. All hybrids inherit the skin colour, maybe pointy ears and the secret handshake and that’s it. Also the Alien powers are very underwhelming. If only they had powers like they did in TS3 with a power…
Culling still unfortunately messes with family trees. My Sim had brothers who lived outside the household and when they died they eventually just vanished from the family tree as if they never existed. I can’t see why the game just can’t keep the image and name of the Sim in the family tree, it’s not like that would bloat…
One thing I don’t understand with alien genetics is, an Alien + Spellcaster either makes a full alien or a full Spellcaster, that just doesn’t make sense, why not a hybrid with a chance of being a Spellcaster? While Alien + Sim makes a Sim with Alien skin. Funny thing is I can actually turn the Hybrid into a Spellcaster.
Maybe the devs should introduce a tick box for “Random deaths”. So that those that want to play house can play in their utopia and those that want danger in their game can live happy with a risk of random deaths.
Ghosts is definitely one of the life states in this game that need to be expanded on. They aren’t even scary they are just plain annoying. They possess and break objects all over my house and then disappear. Also there isn’t much in terms of gameplay when you play them. They might come with special abilities based on how…
I heard rumours about burglars being potentially offensive to some of their sensitive player base and so aren’t being added. They should add burglars but add a lot trait like “neighbourhood watch” where it removes any chance of being robbed, to keep some players happy. In fact I’d like it if all the NPC’s came with…
I can confirm upgrading it seems to remove pretty much all risk of being crushed by the bed. So there ya go, upgrade it. I’m sure it’ll still get nerfed like Vampires and abductions did though
I use MC Command center but I’m not a fan of the story progression so I don’t use that. I play my game with ageing off for everyone but my household as I’m so sick of endless badly dressed townies being generated and moved in.
The only true random death in this game. All others require input from the player to cause their death and often give second chances. Maybe it should be tuned so that your Sim only has a chance of dying if they were in a bad mood or had low needs at the time of being squished, like it was in Sims 2. Same happened to me, my…
Frankly, a complaining thread for any stuff pack is always going to be endless. There’s just simply not enough stuff. So much more could have been added for Tiny homes. Stuff packs are just a cash cow for EA. It feels like the stuff in stuff packs are content that has been held back from EP’s. So much stuff could have been…
Well my Sim opened his brand new Murphy bed for the first tome and he was crushed to death by it.... I got him back as a ghost and he can no longer sleep in beds, instead he has to sap other sims of their energy to refill his own, which I thought was kinda cool.
The research machine death is lame. Your Sim is classed as a death by overexertion ghost, so it’s technically not a new death type. At the very least it could’ve been a new death type where your Sim ghost gets granted infinite knowledge or some other ghost power. Also the Servo death by catastrophic meltdown could be…
MC Command Center solves that issue, I think it places the children taken away into other families. However it is disappointing that children are culled and never to be seen again once they are neglected or if their relatives die. No social worker as well! Maybe they can rectify this in a future update.
Nice concept I guess?? But I’m not a fan of it. The only good thing seems to be the Murphy Beds. Ironically they don’t really fit in with the small theme , bunk beds would have been better. Also a few missing features like ladders, spiral staircases and more which would have fit perfectly into small homes.
For some reason in my game skeletons get generated as a family. I use MC command center to unhide hidden households and the skeletons have a human family! The human family still have the skeleton pun-names. Not sure why they can’t just get generated alone.
Admittedly it was somewhat lazy of the devs to only confine the baby to the bassinet but it hasn’t really bothered me. I tend to do a bit of relationship building and then age them up to toddler ASAP. Even in the Sims 3 where the baby could be carried the options were very limited and gameplay was limited as well.
