Yes making the hidden worlds available as templates is on my todo list. As for the people asking about terrain and lots placement, yes, it's coming and is considered part of the CAW mod, it will just be that last thing I focus on as the in game portion is more important for now. I can promise such things because I've…
None of my stuff has ever been behind a permanent paywall, once a mod has completed early access and is stable, you can find it on TwistedMexi.com. I've always been very adament about that. I'd encourage you to follow me on Twitter or my Discord for info and updates, the patreon text you're referring to is just a very tiny…
No, the scope of the project is fully deserving of the CAW title, I wouldn't give it such a name otherwise. Refer to my Map Export video on my youtube channel. There's also a CAW FAQ on my patreon that becomes public later today, it elaborates on why I felt the mod deserves the CAW name.
I agree with @Scumbumbo if you're going forward with this change we need to have access to the source. When Sims 4 dropped it toted itself as being modder friendly, and in many ways it is. But other ways it's frustratingly restrictive for the most arbitrary reasons. If we're able to get the tuning source, why not the…
@SimGuruModSquad I've edited my post, as some of the previous resources requested have been figured out already. World Object Data would be the highest priority now. Thanks.
Yes, that's because I "intercept" any debug/console output in that cheat's command and redirect it to the cheat console. It's useful for figuring out why some cheats didn't work (wrong parameter, conflicting traits, etc) so I'll leave it that way. Other cheats already output to the cheat console so I just made that…
Thats not due to my mod, that's just how the cheat console behaves as output is added. Closing it and re-opening it always resets it to the normal size.
Mind sharing where/how this model is tied to vlad? I'm guessing it's hardcoded or in the animation data as I don't see anything in python or in tuning.
So I just checked, the bat has no gameplay ties other than the fact it's a secondary swatch to the normal (black) bat object. It seems like it was meant to be used but was never implemented. If people want it, I can make set the white bat to the default via a mod.
Sure, I do reply here and I believe you can also comment on my public posts on patreon even if you're not a patron. I just typically check twitter the most frequently :)
My terrain pack uses an existing system (objects) to create the illusion of terrain modification. There is nothing in the game code to allow for terrain modification. So while they could add terrain tools, it's just such a major task at this point that I doubt they will unfortunately.
That's not really accurate, most IDE's, such as Scaleform Studio (which is what was used for TS4's UI) allow for refactoring like renaming all references to an item when you rename it.
Yep. But yet there was plenty of discussion around here that Olympus must have been The Sims Mobile. So confirming it further was apparently necessary. We've known about the UI for sometime, I just added in the C++ references as well.
Yep, I published this for closure and certainty... and because I love data. I don't intend for anyone to argue over it, that'd be the epitome of spilled milk at this point. :)
Co-op requires the same infrastructure as any other multiplayer game. If you mean co-op only in certain aspects of the game, then no because they whole platform is designed as if it was going to be a server instance for each zone. I haven't said it was always-online, only that it was definitely going to be a multiplayer…
Olympus wasn't the engine, it was/is the UI component. The point of this article wasn't to be hostile about the development decisions but to just give some closure on this long drawn out speculation. Also while things can be tweaked, it offers insight into how the base of the game came to be. Core functionality can not be…
Going to answer your questions in-line: doesn't necessarily mean it "is Olympus." Right? >Yes, the UI is Olympus. Olympus was never the whole game, it was the UI project that the UI designer showed off on his own website. Because online elements were present in the concept video, people just started associating Olympus…
