• Ann > Jerry > Isaac > Hypatia > Galileo > Louisa > Jacqueline > Kathryn Gen 6 Louisa, Gen 8 Kate, Gen 7 Jackie Okay, so….this is going to be quite the update. Since the last time I posted, I’ve finished two massive projects for school, gone on vacation, and played a lot of this family. As of the last update, I was playing…
• A little every day, but almost always while listening to a podcast or lecture.
• Disappointed and hurt about her dad marrying and starting a new family, Louisa left in a huff. She wasn’t sure what she wanted to do, but she needed some pace. Henford was not far from the city of Windenberg, which she’d always avoided and still would. She heard of an abandoned cabin off the coast of Windenberg, one that…
• Okay, a few updates coming up. I’ve been playing but have also been working on two huge assignments. Now I have a few weeks before the class grind starts again. Ann > Jerry > Isaac > Hypatia > Galileo > Louisa See the guy in the back? Kiyoshi? Yeah, remember him for later. Louisa loved the ranch too much to be happy…
• I'm REALLY glad to hear about the kitchen/bathroom sink. Now I can actually let my sims have sinks.
• Noted. I will restart game tonight before it hits to include some new CC. Quoting this post because I like that "Michaelmas term" is a thing. Much more interesting than "fall semester".
• My neat trick is sending one sim off an on adventure for a week or so and letting infants age up to toddlers in the background. Then I repeat it until they're kids. If I do play at home, I always freeze motives because infants are buggy as heck. I've been playing this game 20 years, I do what I want these days. :p
• A shortie today. The new year began with mixed results Galileo and Firefly won the Ultimate Horse Championship, but shortly after their return, Sienna died. Galileo was crushed by the sudden death of the woman he'd loved since he was a teenager, and his daughters stepped up to take more responsibilities on the farm. When I…
•
It's some toddler toy that I think came with Growing Together!
• I..didn't know WordPerfect was still around. Wow!
• Despite the sadness of leaving their home, Galileo and Sienna both anticipated new challenges and adventure in Henford-on-Bagley. Given the size of their blended family, they built a large home and Galileo filled it with the works of his own hands: the dining table, chairs, and shelving were all created by Galileo in his…
• TRAILER PARK! I used to do trailer parks in Sims 2's Apartment Living and miss that.
•
Apparently! I'm tempted to have him start knocking up NPCs to get some kind of statistical sample...
• Firefly: Eggsellent work. Carry on. Young Galileo began his studies in biology very grudingly, taking the minimum amount of classes he could to keep his mom happy. He would much rather work around the ranch -- making nectar, upgrading equipment, woodworking, shaping the gardens. Unless there were horse shows happening, of…
• Four day weekend, so I'm listening to podcasts and playing Sims... Hypatia and her points: Leonardo, Galileo, and Chin Neng Last time, Hypatia lived her YA and most of her adult years, and then was invited to join an archaeological fellowship out west to put her authentication skills to the test. As part of the deal, she…
• Okay, so....last time Hypatia had just started her YA years with two degrees, one in Biology and the other in Physics. She'd also begun visiting San Salvorado (I know it has another name, but that's the only one I can remember and at least I'm consistently wrong about it so you know what I mean). This update is a wee bit…
• Gen 4: Hypatia Hypatia graduated early from high school, and after a few days of lounging about (or in her case, swimming and playing chess), I sent her off to Foxbury to pursue a degree in biology. I perhaps should have done physics instead, but she can always go back, I suppose. She began by living in the dorms, but…
• Liberty Lee! Sim-me married her during my first time playing the game and I've had a soft spot for her ever since.
• I spent five years playing TS2 on a potato system, where everything happened in slow motion and Sims' hands look liked paws. I'm experienced. :D Gen 3: Isaac: When Isaac was awarded early graduation from high school, his grandmother Ann couldn’t have been happier or more proud. With multiple scholarships, he was destined…
• Yeaaaaaah...I'm not sure what causes it, but one of my mods makes teenagers (and then adults) lose first their face and then their entire heads. I've gotten weirdly used to it.
• The Tale of Jerry Jerry closed his teen years by attending prom, and – well, he evidently had a good time, because within a few days a young woman arrived in Sulani named Melanie, and said that she and Jerry had fallen in love at prom and gotten married. He’d already made plans to explore Mt Korembi with friends, but…
• Edit: I posted a "What's Happening In Your Game" update here instead of in the appropriate thread. :D Will keep a photo up of Isaac, though, since he's an interesting sim. Isaac is a teenager! =============
• I'm always listening to other music or a podcasts, so no. However -- when The Sims 6 comes 'round I'll probably listen to "The Sims 4 OST" on youtube for 'nostaliga' the way I currently listen to the TS3 soundtrack on YT despite never listening to TS3 music when I actually played TS3. :D
• I hadn't heard of the Asylum challenge before. WIll see if I can find some playthroughs!
• Another update, since otherwise I'm going to play too far ahead of remembering what happened. :D Ann flourished in Sulani, working with locals to help monitor and remove outside contaminants, and moderate tourist activity, keeping numbers slow and steady and never allowing crowds to overwhelm the islands’ resources. Mitch…
• Ann had to admit to herself that she’d gotten comfortable and sidetracked. When she accepted a job offer at a tech firm right out of college, she regarded it as a useful first step in beginning a life in conservation work, but as the years progressed she’s found herself more and more an IT manager and less involved in the…
• The funny/sad thing is he doesn't live with either of them. He lives with 3 other young adults. :D
• Last update, I started getting things ready for a “I’m Surrounded by Idiots” challenge by starting with a homeless teenager, Ann Bennett, who fished and programmed her way through high school, starting university just as the winter season would have made her living arrangements (a sleeping bag and a fire) untenable. Ann…
• I know I said I was going to fart around a bit before diving into my next Legacy challenge (the “I’m Surrounded by Idiots” variant) , but I’ve just started the groundwork for it, beginning my Founder as a homeless, penniless teenager. This will be a slow burn: I don’t plan for her to have any kids until late in her YA…
• Thanks! The next one will be a "I'm surrounded by idiots" variant, but I think I'll fart around a bit before diving right back into it. Hoping that Horse Ranch goes on sale when they do For Rent, but I kinda doubt it. My Sims have a lot of songs named "ssdsdsds" or variants thereof. :D
