Tough one. Two of my three favorite elements are in EPs -- pets and weather. I suppose I'd have to prioritize Seasons over Pets, so...... EP: Seasons GP: Vampires SP: Paranormal Kit: Blooming Rooms
I mostly play with vampires, and since they live forever, or at least forever until they get caught outside, I need a regular influx of new townies as the older ones pass away from old age. So, yeah, I've used everything from the Maxis uploads from trailers, to the remakes by fans, to official remakes, to random households…
Well, yeah. Where am I going to put the coffins? In the master bedroom for just any sim to find? No, they are in the basement behind a locked door. What's in there, you ask Mr. I'm-For-Dinner? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Now go back up to the drawing room all by yourself and wait for me there.
I'm okay with the vampires being scared at a werewolf transformation. Physical strength, speed, and durability are the strong suits of werewolves, and so in my game vampires regard them as berserk killing machines. And while vampires are strong and fast by normal sim standards, their real strength is in deception -- they…
Outstanding. I have been wanting an upright since 2014 -- not an electronic keyboard, an actual upright. A glaring oversight, but at least one that is being rectified.
I've shown my vampires over, and over again. Instead, I will give you my edited view of the Brindleton Lighthouse, in all of it's sepia splendor. It's very 'Tales from the Dark Side'. Happy Halloween.
Well, it didn't tell us much, but it did confirm what most of us already instinctively knew -- that a new title is in development. The babies are not a priority for me, but they are for a lot of others and I am pleased that those people will be getting them. Overall, it's good, if not mind-blowing.
I am very pleased with the new app. The layout is cleaner, it loads faster, and best of all the program's footprint is much smaller. Origin was a resource hog given that it is just a DRM storefront app. The new one is so much better.
If this summit doesn't result in finally bringing high-speed rail to Riverblossom Hills, then my faith in SimNation will be shaken for good. Commuter traffic has made Welsh Lane a parking lot at rush hour to the point that it takes me an hour just to get to Belle's Boutique and Tailoring to pick up my dry cleaning. I voted…
I follow my sim to college. I follow my sim to high school. I'm not sure that I want to follow my sim to elementary school. I'm sure that there are plenty of people who would, and I don't want to rain on their parade, so I voted for Justine.
Late to the party, but I like Goth 2.0. Well, I guess that's technically Goth 5.0 considering previous games in the series. Mortimer looks more like his inspiration in Gomez Adams, and Bella looks like the former trophy wife that's starting to age. They definitely look more realistic to me, and I have always preferred that…
My main save is a group of vampires that would be better described as insular, rather than introverts. They'll go out on the town four nights a week, but that's mostly to hunt or make contacts that they can invite to their house for parties the other three nights. Since they're maxed out on their perk tree, and the fact…
None. I wanted vampires, dogs and seasons. We've gotten all three, so I've been satisfied since June 2018. I've been rooting for both University and werewolves because I know that a lot of people wanted them. Since they've come too, I don't know what else to root for. I think this new high school pack will make a lot of…
The Sims Pro: It was practically a death simulator. Everything was lethal. It was hilarious. Con: Controls and the UI don't hold up very well by 2022 standards. The Sims 2 Pro: The personality matrix. Sims felt more alive than in any of the other iterations. Con: Population bloat. The continual generation of new townies…
I graduated in 1996 -- the tail-end of generation X -- so there were obviously differences. Nobody owned cell phones. Promposals weren't a thing. While I am sure that there were LGBT classmates, nobody was out. There was no senior class prank. One class did try it a few years before I entered 9th grade, and in response the…
A lot of the high level homestyle and gourmet dishes are calorie-heavy, so to speak. This can be somewhat counterintuitive from a gameplay perspective, as we tend to view higher level abilities or items as being superior to lower level ones. However, the devs were pretty slick in noting that your sims are going to gain…
I love this bug. The sims turning to look at me when I pause as if to say 'what do you think you're doing?' is deliciously creepy. I kind of hope it never gets fixed.
I think that it serves a demand that a lot of players have wanted for a long time; that being a more distinct experience for the teen life stage. In that vein, it appears to do it quite well and I think it is going to make a lot of people very happy. I think it would be a healthy thing for The Sims series if such…
