I’m experiencing a new bug after the most recent patch. I have two adult sims - writer career and scientist career. If they both work on the same day, and I join the scientist at work, the other sim is “stuck” at work when the work day is done. Alright, no pattern still that I can tell, but South Square Cafe is consistently terrible, as said in the post above. Sims just stand around, not completing any actions. After using the resetsim cheat multiple times, it functions enough for me to get my sim home (several sim hours later).

I haven't tried all of them, but it is only some. The ones I mentioned previously were bad yesterday, but today, the Ancient Ruins were just fine with a dance party and lots of Sims. No lag at all. It's starting to seem like it's hit or miss, but I'm trying to track it to see if I can notice any patterns.

It's not just the festivals (like the Spice Festival and so on). It's also going to places like the Shrieking Llama or the Perfect Balance Spa (that was unbearably laggy), or someone's apartment in San Myshuno. But going to other places, like work (scientist career) is just fine.

After the latest patch and installing Seasons, I am experiencing a ton of lag on community sites, like coffee shops, spas, restaurants, any of the festivals, etc. It doesn't seem to matter what "city" I'm in - San Myshuno, Windenburg, Newcrest, etc. I'm not sure if it's the number of Sims that are on the lot, perhaps?…

I'm glad to know I'm not alone with this, though for me, like BluebellFlora, it's only started with the most recent update. I'll have to try bypassing the launcher to see what happens.

Thanks for the info, Alex. I didn't realize that it was still broken for the diving profession, which is of course my Sim's profession. I guess I'll still have to wait for a fix.

Two weird things in my game... First, a mermaid in Mermaid Grotto, but in human form. Second, a fish stuck in the sand. This fish just flopped around and was not able to be caught.

I have this problem as well. If I'm playing with a houseboat, I have to wear my Sea-Bands. That helps me with the motion sickness.

I think this is what you can do: Select one of the Sims that you want to live on the houseboat. Have that Sim initiate the moving process. When you get to the moving selection screen, move out all four of those Sims to the houseboat, but check Louise as your active household. (I think that's how to do it). I always save…

I just wanted to add a bit to the issue regarding scuba diving and exploring caves. I did the whole edit town/build/buy stuff... moved the caves... then they worked. But the caves only work once. Each time I want to scuba dive, I have to repeat the whole process. Is there a better fix than constantly doing the "edit town"…

I thought this was kind of crazy. There were tons of sharks present when my sim was surfacing from scuba diving.

I do normally get motion sickness (really bad on boats, too). Unfortunately, even when the houseboats are docked at port, they still bob up and down as they would naturally do in real life. Checksky3 - I got the answer from Twallan a short while ago. You have to have the Master Controller mod. In game, go to NRAAS --> Master Controller --> Sim --> Advanced --> Total Annihilation. I'll be trying it in my game in a little while.

I'll try looking into the water settings a bit later on this evening. I have all mirror reflections off as that's one of the things that makes my game run better. I'll try zooming one way or another also. Thanks for the suggestions!

I'm with you EternalRose. I've had Barnacle Bay since it came out a few years ago. I wish they would have a second option for those of us who already have it.
