The light skin tones were in more need of an upgrade imo. I personally never had an issue with the darker tones. But I swear I only ever used the same 2 for light skins before. And I was sad to see with the update, once again lighter skins were neglected...
Wow, I'm surprised and disappointed to hear the original thread was deleted. But either way, the gameplay trailer was laughable to me. There was barely any gameplay shown. The voiceover had a lot of lore and stuff, but I wonder how much of that will actually be translated into gameplay. I read on Sims Vip that there will…
That seems to be the majority of packs these days. :/ It's like most of TS4 is just going on vacation (ironically with NO HOTELS). I'd really love to see a pack that expands the existing content of normal daily sim lives. Snowy escape looks like another pack that'll be "fun" for the first few days, then get boring once…
I totally agree. I think it's ridiculous that they finally want to do something with personalities (something players have wanted for years) and they decide to add it to an EP instead of a free patch.
I uninstalled about a week ago. I hadn't played it almost 2 years and I don't see the game improving. But even if it does, I see no reason to give EA my money anymore seeing what their priorities have been for the entire 6 years of this game.
@SimmerGeorge Well, personally I feel a few of those ideas on the list aren't what I'd call necessities. For example, the social class system, natural disasters, and even reputation. Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't be shocked to see those things left out of the BG, as I don't see them as being on par with things like…
I don't agree with everything here, but I agree with a lot of it. Seasons for sure should be in the base game if nothing else. It is insane having to wait years for something as natural and basic as seasons in a life simulator.
I finally uninstalled TS4 yesterday. I'm done with this iteration of the game. Everything you said in the OP is the reason why. The team does NOT listen. They make what they want, then occasionally they'll implement a lackluster version of something people have been wanting, then go right back to doing what they want. I'm…
I just uninstalled TS4 yesterday and deleted everything TS4 related from my computer after not playing for 2 years. I realized that I have no desire to give EA anymore of my money and TS4 is already a mess, so there was no reason to keep it any longer. This game has only gotten worse and worse. Even if they hypothetically…
I'm struggling to understand how this is odd at all. It's totally possible for a young adult to have a teen aged child. Also teen is not 13-20, it's 13-17. 18 is a legal adult. I'd also argue young adult can go up past 35. But I'm not sure how this even applies within the game when the sims don't even have numerical ages.
I just found out about this game. It looks cute. The only thing I'm a bit disappointed by is that having children isn't planned for base game, but I'm glad it'll come eventually. I might try this game out. The character personality system looks great.
I feel him and I'm not surprised at all. I'm pretty much at the same point myself. I haven't bought a pack, nor touched the game in 2 years, and every day I contemplate just completely uninstalling origin from my computer and removing all my Sims 4 files. Even if the very next few releases are things I've been wanting for…
Daaaaangggg. I didn't expect that, but tbh I don't blame him one bit. There recent packs have all been incredibly lackluster and this one was the most undesired idea ever with horrid execution. I wouldn't want to waste my time reviewing this pack either.
Simmers everywhere (facebook, youtube, twitter, reddit) upset about the star wars pack. EA: siMmErS eVerY WhErE ExcItEd FoR tHe sTAr wArs paCk What a joke. These people truly don't know or care anything about their community.
Not surprising at all. Honestly, it's no coincidence to me that in this year the only pack that didn't have some amount of negativity/backlash surrounding it was the knitting stuff pack, aka THE ONE WE VOTED FOR. (And before anyone says anything, I'm obviously not talking about the people who didn't like the pack because…
I'm so sick of Star Wars stuff in this game. Not everyone likes or watches star wars sims team! Why do they insist on making these packs that only appeal to a certain group of people? I never liked the costumes, the figurines, so I sure as heck ain't getting a whole pack just for more of that series in my game. Of all the…
The only way I'd support another community pack would be if they actually let the fans participate in coming up with concepts and ideas. I don't want to just vote on concepts the gurus and developers decided on beforehand. Let the players decide what the art themes will be before they are voted on. Let us decide what…
Fun and social to a lesser extent. I honestly don't understand why either of these are even needs in the first place. No one needs to have fun or be social to live, so I find it weird for them to be on par with eating. But either way, I always found fun annoying to deal with because it seems using the computer or playing a…
This is what I feared. I wanted knitting. I voted for it and was happy when it won. But the execution does not look the best. As a community stuff pack I feel there was very little actual community involvement. It felt more like we were just picking from the ideas that the devs wanted for a knitting pack and the result is…
At this point I'm unsure. I voted for knitting and participated in every vote, but this pack is not what I had in mind when I first voted for a knitting pack all those months back. I don't really like how a lot of things were executed, mainly with the knitting skill itself, but I also just don't feel like there's as much…
The only time I ever hear TS4 being praised is when it comes to its visuals. Sims are pretty, worlds are pretty, clothes are pretty, furniture is pretty. And that's it. CAS, and to an extent BB, is really all TS4 has going for it. Gameplay is very dull and extremely lacking. This isn't a game I could ever play for hours…
I totally agree, especially on the competitive part. This is not a game that was meant to be competitve. If this was Fortnite or Mario Party, a show like this would make sense. But this is The Sims. You can't "win" in this game. There are no hardcore, intense Sims 4 gamers who stay up all night studying the ins and outs of…
It was specifically noted before the vote and in the vote that only the winning theme would be main theme for the pack. They were very upfront about that. Not saying no one can be dissapointed about that, but they made it very clear how they were going to do it. I can agree with some of Plumbella's complaints, mainly on…
I guess it's nice to finally see the results of the vote come into finalized form through this trailer. That said, I need to see some gameplay footage. I need to see more from knitting. Also, is it just me or do the textures of some of the knitted items look...odd? Like they don't look knitted at all? Idk, I'll need to see…
