  • I was avoiding buying packs since I didn't plan to play much due to lack of time (and toddlers) but I found myself in a Sims mood the other day and went ahead and bought them all.
  • > @aws200 said: > Or wait for LGR's review to warn us and other Youtubers too. Preordering from EA is like signing your soul over to a certain somebody below the Earth. SimCity cured me of preorders. I'll buy the expansion (after it's out), but I don't hold any expectations. Can't be disappointed that way. It is what it…
  • I recently started playing Sims 4 and my very first pregnancy was twins. All was good until her husband decided to get himself electrocuted. So here was this poor new widowed mom of twins. She didn't even have a job though I'm not sure how she would have found the time to work anyway. It's been fun trying to keep up but…
  • I knew I was going to regret ordering online. There is 0 time saving if I have to wait to download then wait some more to contact CS about the registration and invalid Party Pack codes. *shakes head* I'm still waiting for the email for the bonus content for ordering SimCity online.
  • I received the bonus codes but so far no download unlock or email. Simcity took about an hour to unlock so I'm guessing they are just backed up. Hopefully my University email will come though soon. Kinda worried to get part of an order but not all.
  • Personally, I think it would be nice if all promotional items were available for everyone via the store. They clearly keep advertising the products long after the "deal" is gone.
  • The HAB rises 1 story above the ground for the interactions. If you want to move around town it "jumps" you there instead of flying. The HAB disappears in one spot and reappears in the other.
  • Everyone has to learn sometime. She asked so now she knows. :) @OP: A laptop can be upgraded (more than the memory), I've done it, but it's not really worth the effort. A PC can be put together than runs Sims for less than $500 if you deal shop. In fact, I used some spare parts to build my niece a Sims computer last week.…
  • Thinking about it some more, I can really understand the OP's disappointment. If I hadn't seen the live broadcast I probably would have been expecting the HAB to be a great new item. Once I saw how low it went I dismissed it. It's to be expected that a buyer might want a HAB that can float round not just rise a bit and…
  • The balloon was probably the only thing I wasn't really interested in at all. I really think it was a nice idea but since it wasn't done right (tech limits perhaps) it was a waste of time. I haven't had time to load up the world yet but the first thing I plan to do is look at the building items.
  • I started a game (already in progress) after my patch today. The first thing I normally do is accept gifts and re-gift to friends. Since the patch I can't accept a Supernatural gift. All other gifts that I received worked. Can anyone else test this out? Edit: I've tried playing a bit my sims can't use any cooking items.…
  • I own all the worlds but haven't really played any world that much more than any other. Each has its pros and cons. Currently I have families in Lunar Lakes and Monte Vista that I'm playing. BB and BP would probably be my least played if I could look back at all my games. WA worlds have never been a big interest as I play…
  • The balloon seems a nice idea but if they couldn't make it work well within the limits the game it's not a good use of their resources. The sightseeing animations would work well with an "observation" type building/object. I rather doubt I'll ever use the balloon, but the toddler items are on my "want" list.
  • Woo! Have a great Birthday! Edit: I sent you a little birthday surprise.
  • I'd like to toss out my support for the Bakery and Crafting ideas. Flower arranging would be nice given the ability to collect wild flowers or farming flowers. Cooking is always a plus and anything that lets my Sims create for themselves is great. I love the idea of a Dance hall, our Sims need more dances. Any type of…
  • I tend to play either sex as I eventually end up with families. I don't have a sim-self as I don't relate to my sims that way. They are sorta like cute pets that I care for. When I play RPGs I tend to play females because I am a female and I socialize through that avatar. OTOH, my husband always plays a female if he has…
  • I can understand your feelings. It adds up quickly. However, Sims is my main hobby, so I can afford to spend a bit on SP when I have to have some new content. Overall, I love seeing new worlds and objects released. More variety means my games won't get boring. I'm as excited for MV as I was for Seasons (well maybe not…
  • I love the pizza oven, signs (Freezer Bunny crossing!) and new plants.
  • Thanks for the link. Hopefully they will fix the capacity shortly.
  • I love looking back on the life of my Sim, and seeing how far the family has evolved. Keep with it playing generations can be quite fun. BTW I love your puppies.
  • Sloppy database management or greed or both. Crin's s3sbrowser solves the problem though.
  • I was quite happy with the sale. I was able to purchase many sets I didn't have and was only sad that the day ended while I still have sets on my WL.
  • Hey all, I wanted to say thanks for the fun and friendly conversations. You all made this a wonderful first C. Monday. I have so many new items for my sims and I saved so many points, I'll still be able to gift some items for the holidays! I'm worn out after my all nighter, but now I'm to happy to sleep. It's midnight and…
  • Thanks for a fun C. Monday! I picked up a lot of great sets and met some great people.
  • When my brain is functioning again, I'm going to have to figure out how much I saved today. :)
  • Drifters Desire, another I was waiting for. Worth waking up for. I'm gonna try to nap a bit more before the sun forces me up. See you all in an hour.
  • I had only planned to use the set as a part of larger builds, and with a sales price of 70sp I don't mind that I won't be using it for make full castles.
  • I'll second that recommendation. After I discovered the inconsistencies in the store display of items purchased I started using Crin's tool. It makes tracking purchases quick and easy.
  • I'm gonna try to hold out for the next set and hope they are back on schedule. Then I can try to grab that nap and be back in time to check the surprise set. :D *watches the seconds click down*
