Quoting from a different thread from a few days ago: https://forums.thesims.com/en_us/discussion/comment/18367672#Comment_18367672 And the Mac rolllout hasn’t finished yet.
I’m glad your TS3 Store content is working for you again! I’m hoping mine will all be fine too once I get the invite to make the switch from Origin to the app.
I think a lot of us would have more kits by now if there were sales/special offers on the kits. I certainly would. So that might explain the large number of us with very few kits (one or more of those kits being free). And at the other end of the scale are those who like to get pretty much all the packs available.
I have 3. One was free for everyone (Desert Luxe) and the other two are Bust the Dust and Little Campers, both of which I really like. I’m looking forward to being able to add Blooming Rooms whenever it becomes free (hopefully soon). And I’m sure I’ll add more kits in time as I tend towards the completionist end of the…
For me it depends. Last year I had a YA Sim who electrocuted himself. He was engaged and I had some ideas of how I wanted his and his fiancée’s story to go. And then it all ended. I was quite shocked, but I decided to just accept the change, scrap my ideas, and create a new story for the remaining household. But I’m not…
I’m standing by my theory that it’ll become available when the EA App has finished rolling out to all Mac users… which hasn’t happened yet. I for one am still waiting.
The addition of Plopsy makes Nifty Knitting a really useful pack if you like Sims who craft or make stuff to sell. I use Plopsy all the time for Sims who basically make a living through it, selling paintings, woodwork, candles, knitted things, cross stitch etc — anything it will let me sell!
I’ve been having a great time in TS3 over the past couple of weeks. I switch between TS2, TS3 and TS4 as I love them all and thankfully they all still run very well on my Mac. I’m still on Origin and waiting to get switched over to the EA App any day now, and I’m slightly nervous about how TS3 especially will cope with…
@mightysprite I think Aspyr are trying to fix it - I found this from Aspyr from a month ago: I'm glad you mentioned this issue as I wasn't aware of it and I too have Civ VI on my iPad. Haven't yet updated so might hold off a while longer... Glad your hand is getting better and I hope you can enjoy getting back into TS4,…
@elanorbreton This is very annoying as it relies on us remembering to choose it before a birth - and my memory is not great. I'll remember it for a few weeks ... but after a while of having no babies born in game I'm bound to forget again 😫
Yes, I’ve bought a few things using my tablet, which has been very handy! I’m mostly near my computer all day every day though, so the problematic times for me are really just the ones at night.
Newborns being glued to their default bassinets bugged me today! I had twins arrive, and after the birth I carefully redecorated a room for a nursery and chose new bassinets from the selection available. Only to find that of course the newborns were glued to the default bassinets they arrived in, which didn’t match each…
Well I’m glad it’s back — that’s the main thing! I’ll just keep waiting and hoping that the things I want eventually come round at useful times. I don’t want them so badly that I’ll disturb my precious sleep!
I hope it comes back online again soon… and for purely selfish reasons I’m kind of hoping that when it does the times will have changed quite radically, as there are quite a few things coming up that I’d like that are currently at totally useless times for me :)
The offer is for PC and Mac users on the EA App, and they haven’t finished rolling the app out to Mac users yet (e.g. I haven’t yet been told to make the switch). My guess is that the kit will be on offer once all Mac users have been told to move to the app.
I know nothing about computer programming, but I’m wondering if it’s possible that with the last update everyone got the potential for the shopping cart, but it was programmed to be revealed progressively to groups of players over time? That makes more sense to me than EA tweaking people’s games without mentioning it or…
I’m very disappointed but sadly not surprised that it’s being rolled out to more players. I’m unlikely to have the chance to play my game for a few days so I can’t check whether I have it too. I’m currently playing without any mods and enjoying that — but if that cart turns up and I find it intrudes on my game then I will…
I don't have it yet either, but this sounds like good news! Hopefully the external drive isn't a problem/will be fixed soon as I don't have space to store my games on my Mac's hard drive.
On AHQ in the Origin section, one Mac user seems to be saying they’ve been asked to switch to the EA App. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin-Mac-Client-Technical/EA-App-switch-back-to-Origin/td-p/13579148 ETA: It’s definitely being slowly rolled out to Mac users now. I’ve come across several Mac users who say they’ve been…
@DaniRose2143 I’m hoping it’ll all be OK, but I can’t say I’m looking forward to it. I didn’t have time to play my game yesterday so I missed all the problems with Origin then — I can’t actually remember the last time I had any issues at all with it.
