Well I do believe that the showtime stage may work in rotating seasons by only placing the stage and audience in that season. To me have not really seen any outside concerts during the Winter Months. Also the singer would get cold and freeze. So in order for simfest to happen you need a audience and stage. Create the raised platform in common mode, switch to construction mode add the audience area and than final add the audience area in the Spring and Fall with the stage. So during the Spring and fall season the stage will act like a special concert.
Even though you won't be able to have any scheduled gigs as the stage will completely disappear during the summer and winter month when you don't really see any outdoor concerts that munch.
Edit maybe you can have scheduled gigs as those gigs will only activate when the stage is active. The only problem is removing the stage deletes the proprietors job.

Thank you for posting the FAQ for the tombs! I am definitely interested in that!
However, I must say, that about the Showtime stages, we do not have access to the proprietor objects unless we place a pre-created lot, so... I guess we either don't need to worry about that, or it needs to be re-flagged!
I think you can access the objects in buydebug mode -- mainly the stages, the areas that generate audiences, and the show benches. I've been thinking of upgrading the Amphitheater in Twinbrook and adding it to some of my other worlds; wonder if I could have the stage delete in Winter.

Yes, I understand that, but the propreitorplacement_fps object, which designates the locations of proprietors during gigs, is currently completely inaccessible to us still. It can only be located on EA-made Showtime lots at the moment.

I thought it automatically generated when a lot was built with one of the Showtime specific lots, or maybe the presence of a stage. I have a user-created venue that I downloaded but changed to a dance club in my game (CK213's Casino; I like it because it's smaller than EA's so easier to place); I'll put it into my game unchanged and see if it generates a proprietor.

I may be misinterpreting this, but am I getting this right...
In order for my neighbor's homes to match each season; I have to go in and add a seasonal lot marker to the lot? and then edit them for whatever season it is?
If so do I have to edit them each season?
And now my next question:
So if I don't build a lot for festivals, I won't experience them? I'm not a builder; in fact I hate building period.
It sounds like this pack is geared towards those who like editing towns and building; which is neither interesting for me.:( I play in a world with over 100 lots. And to edit them with each season is gonna be a pain.

If you want your neighbors lots *decorations* to change with the seasons with regard to decorations, then yes, you will need to put a season lot marker on your neighbors lots for Decorations. HOWEVER, your entire town will rotate with the seasons without you doing anything as long as you place a festival lot in your world. YOU do not have to build a festival lot. Seasons will come with several festival lots that you can pick from to put in your game. Also, when you open your save game for the first time after installing Seasons you will be prompted to place your festival lot automatically.

This is only true to some extent. I saw it confirmed that your neighbours will put lights up at home when Snowflake Day draws near and that they'll do this without you having to bother with the lot marker.
I do not believe you need a specific showtime lot for a stage as any lot that has a stage will spawn a proprietors for showtime. All you need is a stage and audience area for the various stages of showtime to work. There is this possible conflict with nightlife venues that require specific star level requirements to enter as long as the stage is outside of the restricted area it should work perfectly.
So you could create a Nightlife Night Club that has a show in it plus also has a place to dance. I believe that Nightlife labeled things are treated just like private venues for the showtime lots.

Hey Mirka. If I understand correctly, you're asking if you can edit the lot to look different only on the day that the seasonal holiday occurs? If that was your question, the answer is no. Under Construction shows up the first day of each season, and the remainder of the season always uses either Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter modes.
whats the point of the construction mode for lot marker , i understand what it is just i don't know what the use will be
From Page 1
Construction
• Construction mode is special in that it is not required for the Seasonal Lot Marker to function. If you never place any objects in this mode on a lot, the lot will simply skip the Construction phase and go directly to the appropriate seasonal phase when the season’s change in-game.
• The Construction phase occurs at the start of every season (if objects are placed in it). On the first day of every season, any Seasonal Lot Marker on a lot will enter the Construction phase. This phase only lasts for one day, at which point the lot will transition to the mode for whatever the current season is.
• The Construction phase is shared across every season. There is no way to make a different looking construction phase in spring vs. fall for example.
• The Construction phase was created to help the fiction of the festivals so that there would be a period of time where festivals did not appear in the world. For most community or residential lots you'll simply want to skip the Construction phase.
I'm so confused with all of this; I'm not a builder so I'm worried that I won't enjoy the weather if I don't build or edit worlds.:(
This is only true to some extent. I saw it confirmed that your neighbours will put lights up at home when Snowflake Day draws near and that they'll do this without you having to bother with the lot marker.
What about community lots? Do I need to place them down in order for it to snow through out the entire world?
If I don't place these things around town or build proper lots is the weather only gonna effect my lot? If I knew all this before hand I may not have pre-ordered as I hate building.CAW doesn't work for me and the world I'm playing in is huge.
One more question if I place one of these on each residential lot; do I have to in each time the season changes and set it to the correct season or is there a way to make it rotate through the seasons itself.
Sorry for all the qustions; I'm just not into building.I download stuff I don't build so I'm worried.I want each house to decorate for the holidays; but I don't want to have to go in each season and change it.XD
Weather and the lot marker are completely different. The lot marker only changes objects around which you put on it. It is the key to changing festivals. But not anything else.
Making the marker control weather wouldn't work anyway, as most people will only have one marker in their world; the pre-built festival lot you will be asked to place when you have installed Seasons.
You don't have to place them anywhere, and placing too many will slow down your game. Once you have Seasons, it will rotate automatically, but just now we have to rotate it manually since there are no Seasons in game.
So, in short, you do not need to use the marker at all, if you don't want to, and you will still be able to experience every part of the game. It has just been made available in buydebug as an extra tool for builders.
Hope that answers your questions, and anyone else who is thinking the same thing

Thank you; I just don't want to be the only house in my game decorated for the season.
Graham, I was thinking, would building Shells be included in those things that we should or cannot use on separate modes? More specifically, Late Night metropolitan buildings, since they tweak floor levels?
I absolutely love the Seasons lot marker. I am able to use multiple store sets in my game now which change with the Seasons. The supernatural furniture and decorations are perfect for *Winter* and then decorating using the store christmas decorations.
Storybook is a light and bright set that I am going to use for Spring.
And the Waining Moon set looks awesome and I am currently decorating my house and updating using this set for *Fall*. Also, it is so nice not to have to *add* the Halloween decorations for all, but to have them already in place using the Seasonal lot marker!
This doesn't look too difficult (I'm a low to medium skill level builder), but with 17 towns and counting in my game, it looks like may take some time to get them all built up. Luckily I'll have lots of free time over the holidays (and will be in the spirit then)!
I found that the 🐸🐸🐸🐸 Caravan and the Fairy Aboretum Will work really well in festival lots. Is it O.k. to put these on my festival lots that will be changing... as long as I make them in common mode?

1) Why are fire pits locked to common??? and
2) What is a preset stencil option (say that out loud in English) on the sandwich boards?
