I too am having the same problem regarding downloading the latest patch. I run a Mac OS 10.6.8 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4 Gb ram. I have all expansion packs and stuff packs, with the exception of Ambitions and World Adventures they are all digital downloads as the DD worked much better on my Mac than the CD version for some peculiar reason, but then this is EA we are talking about here. As with everyone else I cannot believe the incompetence of such a large gaming company, if it wasn't for cider the 🐸🐸🐸🐸 game wouldn't even run because it's still Windows based even for a Mac.
btw, I just downloaded Sid Meier's Pirates for iPad -great game and even better yet, it doesn't crash!
I am using OS X version 10.7, and I have World Adventures, High-End Loft Stuff, Ambitions, and Late Night installed, and they're all the DVD version. The update link is clickable for me, but nothing happens when I click it.

I'm on a desktop Mac (iMac? It's the model from about last year), version 10.6.8. All EPs, and all SPs except for the car pack and Town Life. All are discs.
Since updating to OS X Lion (on an iMac, 20 inch, early 2009 version), the game freezes after a few minutes.
Tried the update, doesn't do anything. Apparently there is something misconfigured for this update - seeing the following in system.log when I try to update:

I think you don't install it! because it's a .exe file - PC, not a Mac update!

If you would be so kind as to list which version of OS X you are using, as well as the products you have installed. It would be much appreciated.
