1- Why don't they listen to us? I know they read these forums, and people are very vocal about what they want on twitter + there's this whole game changers thing that should make communication easier and STILL they keep on giving us content we didn't ask for.
2- This pack contains a tone of recycled (no pun intended) content: ladders that should be in TL, piercings that should be in DU but instead they made those giant terrible things, bicycles that were already in DU, more gardening stuff, and the whole "cleaning the town" aspect from IL. And of course, the whole living off the grid thing and not having bills.
3- Only thing I really like about this pack is the world before it's actually cleaned. I feel like Sims 4 is all rainbows and butteflies, so a run-down, almost apocalyptic city, with polution, diseases and "bad things" (which are basically inexistent in The Sims 4) is very welcome. I'm certainly playing this pack the opposite way, not eco-friendly at all.
My thoughts: It sounds interesting, and I like it. The solar panel, the wind mill, cleansing the air with a vacuum cleaner, the ladder I saw first when someone here metioned it. The dirty harbor city. I will let me surprise how that voting sytem will work and if there is option for polluters who take the economy first, the environment second. But I doubt that the last will included.

Honestly, my opinion on this pack would change drastically if we could turn every world into an apocalyptic wasteland. The story potential would be insane.
The Sims 4 hasn't introduced a new musical instrument since 2017
Same thing as island living.. pretty much. Could make the agenda pushing a little less obvious btw. #PlaytoChange ? Change what, ourselves? I find that kind of messaging to be just too invasive for a video game. I’m not playing a game to be reminded to be a better person and care about the environment. Just my .02
I mean, I get why this is an EP.. lot's of new animations involved, new careers, new world etc. I just worry it's a one and done thing like Strangerville. It looks like a fun playthrough, though! I know they are trying something new here, so I applaud them for that, but I'm not sure.
I just.. I reeeeeally wish those worms were something else... anything else.
this forum: complains we never get any new ideas in the sims franchise
also this forum: complains whenever we are given new ideas in the sims franchise
What's new about this? 70% of the content in this pack is recycled. But I do agree with you when it comes to Get Together. It's a completely new idea, and personally is my favorite pack in TS4, but it gets a tone of hate from the community.

But...it's not really a new idea.....It kinda borrows the same elements in TS3 back to the future etc.
Plus, elements of 'eco-living' have been scattered throughout multiple packs already (conservation/off-the-grid in Island Living, Tiny Living's eco-friendly homes, Laundry Day has some eco-lifestyle themed gameplay), so it's not even a new idea for TS4...

I'm not usually one to be down on new packs. But this one seems like a dud, even to me. From a personal perspective, I'm not keen on a world that's going to be dirty and polluted every time I start a new save. And the CAS is not my style at all, apart from 2-3 things we saw in the trailer. Objectively, though, I get that not every pack is for everyone. However, what I don't understand is an entire expansion pack being devoted to a theme that has already been partially explored in previous packs. It feels very redundant.

This felt weird to me as well. Almost as this pack is not intended for fun but to make the players conscious about global pollution?

why do yall consistently ignore ur fanbase and are now giving us a rehash of gameplay we had in the last 3 packs like get it together ur base begs for farming or a couple more animals and u make a island living/tiny living mashup
Why is this an expansion pack? It would’ve been better if it were a game pack because no one is going to pay 50 dollars for an on-steroids rehash of the conservation career from Island Living. The only remotely good thing that people are actually going to use from this are the ladders. To me, it feels like they made it an expansion pack instead of a game pack just to soak up extra money from people that buy every new pack that comes out for TS4. And it’s honestly hilarious how this pack is mostly about recycling, because they put in recycled things from old Sims games (the TS2 fly death, for example).
Do you like games that involve strategy? Do you like solving a mystery?
I had to watch it 3 times before I noticed the ladders. I will get this for the ladders and new content. I really don't see a lot to make this an expansion, but I figure there is more than we see right now.
I am glad other people are excited for this pack. For the first time, I'm going to hold off on purchasing it until it's on sale. TBH I haven't opened the game in a month (playing ESO instead). I was looking forward to something new for the game but I'll wait. Who knows, maybe something will spark my interest when it's gameplay is previews but for now...meh.
I found this interesting but i would need to see a deep dive to see everything and a bit of gameplay, candle making, the flies attacking the sim, this might be a death if your sims home gets too dirty, the concept it different and that's what we need in the sims 4, something different, something new, I'm excited too see more
This looks really interesting. It's something we've never seen before, and I personally didn't care for Farming or Generations.
And, not to mention, something like this was requested a lot a few years ago. Expansion Packs take a few years to make. Did it cross nobody's mind that maybe they started working on it when it was a wanted theme?

Something new? The flies death is literally from TS2. It’s like they’re running out of ideas now and they’re just borrowing stuff from old Sims games.

Can the Caterpillars be transformed into butterflies? The grubs as they look like have to be caterpillars. That would be cool in other worlds. Not this one, but the others.
I honestly loved the container builds. I will get it even if for just the build objects, some of the other game play items look interesting. I will be waiting for game play videos for sure

4- Lost my hope for a Farming pack.
