It's a shame one can't get screenshots closer to the ground/floor perspective to get better up close pictures. (Even with the camera in-game) For example, I wanted an up-close screenshot of these two sitting on the beach, talking, after building a sandcastle with the toddler. From eye-level of the Sim people, basically the toddler's eye-level point of view. (which would be waist level to the 'grown-ups' if they were standing, I guess).
Even zoomed out, I still would have liked it from the perspective of everyone in the photo's eye-level rather than looking on an angle down.

@Admiral8Q Go into Tab mode (press Tab on your keyboard) and use a, w, s, d to navigate. I do play with Sims 3 camera angles, too, as mentioned by SeaDragon.
AWESOME! Thanks! I figured it out. It's also q and e to go up and down.
I tried it out now and got a cool screenshot!
You may be taking screenshots but have shut off the display that shows it right after you take it. I press "c" on the keyboard. Check in your screenshots folder. You can go into the "options" to check it back on.
If you mean using the in-game camera (photography) then I'm not sure. There have been reported glitches with the tripod for the "Moschino" stuff pack. I don't have that, so can't help there. I was planing to buy it because I thought it would give more variety to photographs. But I'm holding off now if the one thing I really want from it is glitched.
Yay! Sorry, I derped and forgot to tell you about the q and e.
(Holding down shift will make the camera move faster in tab mode, too )
