10s-40s for both (or even before that), but the 20s are my number one fav.
although, going off of your chart, i think the 2000s female outfit is cute too.
Really great job! I especially love the early eras. I have a picture of my grandmother in a pink dress from the 20's that looks a lot like the one you chose.
I don't remember wearing high waisted pants in the 70's, but maybe by late 70's? I remember the hip hugger style. And we had some wild looking patterns too. I kinda cringe now when I look at my 6th grade picture from '73.
We also had mini skirts and hot pants, but by late 70's, those disappeared.
Definitely the 1910's! I've been a huge fan of Titanic since I was like 10 years old... and one of the reasons is simply because I love vintage styled clothes, furniture, etc! I honestly think it would be awesome to have a vintage themed stuff pack! More specifically, I'd love to have official content of clothes and furniture that can be found in the Titanic movies (especially 1997)... I'd LOVE to have Rose's dresses! Especially her flying dress and the dress she was wearing while meeting Jack at the clock on the Grand Staircase!
I always liked the proto-goth new romantic looks from the late 80's myself... probably because I was in High School at the time. That and what's now called Boho (which in the 80' was just 60's stuff we stole from our moms, or else "Stevie Nick's Wardrobe")
I also like the formal styles of the 30's and 40s, but I never had the body to wear them (too short). Fortunately Sims don't have height issues.
First off, excellent job on the representations! As another has posted, mini-skirts began to hit in the 60s through 70s, and some of the altitudes reached were truly horrifying. Red Skelton once did a great brief monologue on that. As for personal preferences, was born in the Truman era, so grew up in the 50s & 60s so those are what I best relate to. Both genders look the best from 60's back. The guys from 70s on look like they need some time in the army. There is a difference between casual and looking like a bum.
I tend to dress my sims in a similar style found in the 40s-60s. Maybe not exactly how your sims are dressed in the photo, but definitely a similar look and length to what you have pictured.

The 90s are my favorite, hands down! Followed by the early 2000s.
