This has happened to me several times now, very recently. Using manage households in an already existing save, I created parents for my sims with play with genetics. When I clicked the check mark, it did not save. At first, I thought that I had accidentally clicked cancel, I would have gotten a pop-up asking for confirmation if that were to happen. Has this happened to anyone else? I have repaired my game and deleted cache files very recently.
ETA: This has not occured every time when editing households.

When you went back to live mode, after being in cas, was the parent Sims not in the household?
I was doing all of this from manage worlds, so I never entered live mode. After attempting to save, looking in manage households, the household picture did not include the Sims that I created.
Try adding a sim to another household in your current save game and see if the issue occurs again.
If the same thing occurs , try starting a fresh new save game, and test to see if the same thing occurs there also.

I have done this with different households, but I will try in a new game. Also, wanted to add that this doesn't happen every single time (will edit my original post).
When you tested with different households was the issue still occurring?
Yes, and I wasn't actually testing. I thought that it was just a one-time thing at first, so I just kept playing. Then I realized that it is a recurring issue.
It is good that the issue is not occurring in the new save game file.
Depending on when this issue began occurring in your game, you could try recovering an earlier version of your current save game to play that may not have the issue. To do that , go to the main screen of sims 4, and click on the " load game " button.Click on your save game file picture. Then click on the " recover game " button down the right hand side bottom of the screen,. Press on an earlier version of the save game from the menu that pops up. Then load that save game version

It wouldn’t overwrite your current save. It is a new earlier save version file that is created, that is separate to the current save version. This new save game file can be saved if you would like to, and it won’t affect the current version. After doing this, you just need to load in the “ load game section” which save game file you want to play.

Hi, @rosemow My oldest version of that save file is still when the issue was occurring. Is there anything else I can do?

Try deleting the cache files and see if that helps
