      If there was a good housing market and the economy was good enough to get a modest profit, I'd probably consider it.

      Yep, I already have (using game engines). I made a text adventure in 2004 but my hard drive died and I lost it :( I've made a roguelike RPG too but it hasn't been updated in years, lol.
